1st time and definitely not the last. Love that they have a spa, bar and that breakfast is included. There is also a lounge on each floor that has snacks and is also included. Parking is included and you can leave and return if needed and no addl fee is added for parking. Great stay

Smelly Hotel
Tijuana is a popular travel destination that offers a diverse range of dining options and entertainment for visitors. However, it's worth noting that some areas of hospitality in the city could use improvement. During a recent weekend getaway with my family, we stayed at the Real Inn on Paseo de Los Heroes, where we encountered a few issues that left us unsatisfied. Upon arrival, we faced several challenges. The hotel's entrance was difficult for my elderly mother, who has trouble walking long distances and using escalators. Unfortunately, the staff at the entrance seemed uninterested in offering any assistance. Additionally, the parking situation was equally challenging, with no available handicap spots. Every handicap space was occupied by vehicles without handicap tags or license plates. As a result, I had to drop off my mother and search for a parking spot while carrying all our luggage. We also noticed an unpleasant smell, akin to that of a sewer, permeating throughout the first floor, making it difficult to breathe. The check-in process was also challenging, as only one person was available at the front desk, resulting in a long wait time. Although our rooms were decent, we found the beds to be unstable, and there were no towels in the room. We had to request them separately at the front desk personally picked them up and when , the towels were dirty. This lack of attention to detail was concerning.

The room as pretty good, clean and spacious. Good storage. But, the bed was old and very soft. The shower was just a trickle, making it almost impossible to wash my hair. Shampoo with conditioner does not work on women's hair especially in a environment near the water. Check in was very bad. No instructions regarding the meals, restaurant, or bar (even when I asked I was just told to ask someone else). Then when I went to breakfast they asked for my "invitation". But, when I booked the reservation it said breakfast was included. This was very uncomfortable and confusing. There should either be a short orientation at check in or at least information in the room regarding services. It felt like they did not want to honor the breakfast. Then it was unclear if I could use the restaurant or bar. It would have been nice to sit at the bar and have a drink, but when I approached the bar no one would assist me. Front desk staff was curt and not helpful. The chair at the desk in the room was broken and the desk is set too high to comfortably work. The chair in the room was stained. The lighting was insufficient. There were no lights in the main area, only over the bed, seat, and a small light at the desk.

It’s convenient location - but the rooms do not look any near to what really are. The bed covers look old and dirty , the floor needed repair. Also they have a no refund cancellation term. I put in the wrong date and requested a refund since I placed the second order not even 5 min away. They don’t refund under any circumstances. I tried changing the date instead of cancelling and I was not able to do so. So basically I got charged for a full night over a 5 min booking.
