Definitely a budget hotel.

I didn't expect anything modern or luxurious at this price point. But, as with any hotel, I did expect the room to be well maintained and clean. Just about everything I saw at this Super 8 was nasty except maybe the lobby. When I got to my room, there weren't any towels so I had to walk back to the front desk to get towels. Normally, you would just call the front desk and ask for some towels, but I couldn't do that because the phone in my room didn't work. I tried calling the front desk on my cell phone but no one answered. Not a good experience after driving 500 miles and hoping to get a few hours sleep before moving on. Pay $5 more for any place other than here. "By Wyndham" will no longer be a reason for me to select a place to stay. This is my second bad experience in 2 months with a "By Windham" facility.
It accommodate my large family. It was very nice to stay here.

Nice hotel close to the highway Very comfortable stay, After driving from El Paso to Arkansas it was just what was needed for a good night rest

We checked in very late and went to our floor. The rooms are 50/50 with the non-smoking vs smoking. All throughout the night and on the floor, the dreary and disgusting smell of 2nd hand smoke blew in the ventilation fans into our non-smoking room. Also, there was mold everywhere in the bathroom and on the walls. The bed had crumbs in it from previous guests (we're assuming). We slept on top of the bed and used our own covers and immediately left as soon as we woke up. I will never stay at this hotel again.
This place is a awful. It is filthy. 2 of the pillows on the bed actually did not even have pillow cases on them. NEVER EVER will we be staying at this place again and we travel thru that area multiple time a year.
Convenient to the interstate which is really the only reason anyone really stops in Texarkana.
Non-typical in maintenance and cleanliness. Staff was efficient and friendly. Very pleased with our stay.
Used our Orbucks to get a room for $40. It was worth that, but I wouldn't want to spend much more to stay there.
The room was clean, but needed some work, particularly in the bathroom where there were some cracks and missing paint around the bathtub and tp dispenser. But the floor was very clean and the sheets fresh. The pillows for my king size bed were very small, but there were 4-5 scattered along the headboard that was fastened to the wall. the headboard was mounted a little above the mattress. This made the bed somewhat uncomfortable due to the bottom rail of the headboard being at head level standing out about 2-3 inches from the wall. Lower the headboards! Hotel staff seemed good from our limited exposure to them. Now for the BAD part. The Super 8 hotel allowed several harley-davidson motorcycles to park directly on the walkway into the hotel. They were directly adjacent to the entry doors to the building, and as I said, ON the walkway. They were in and out several times during the night and early morning. NO! Park the motorcycles AWAY from the hotel, and NOT on the walkways. Those things are LOUD! My room was on the ground floor a few feet away from the entryway and the bikes. This was NOT good. No hotel should allow this. But it also seems that everyone also liked to talk and smoke there during the night, just outside the doors, another problem. Again just outside my room. The continental breakfast was also somewhat sparse, with few selections. But not unexpected. So my stay there was not that good. But maybe I got what I paid for?
The Hotel did not meet my expectation. Will never stay there again never ever had anything bad to say about a hotel. This is the worst hotel I ever stayed in. Hotel needs a up grade. The bed spread had holds all over it. The sheets were on backwards and had holds in it. The bathtub was not clean, mold in the tub
Carpet needed vaccumed & cleaned after shower feet were filthy walking to bed! AC motor rattled, electric outlet in bathroom inoperable, bed comforter had holes, dirty!!
This place was exactly like it sounded. It was a fast place to stop on the way through. It smelled in the hallways. It was noisy, the room needed updating and half of the ice machines did not work because they were over 20 years old. The batroom was in need of some repairs from water damhage.
Breakfast probably made us sick. As long as you stay away from that, you should be good!
