The staff was great. Saway, i think her name was, happy and helpful as she could be. She was there all night when we checked in and again when we checked out... No coffee at breakfast, no person serving breakfast, first room was not clean and then the smoke detector wouldn't stop, no batteries had to move rooms. 2nd room was cleaner... felt a little like something was lacking....
This is our second visit to this hotel on our way to Dallas. There has been a change in personnel but the hotel is still clean and friendly. Rooms are neat and clean. Location is near several restaurants and other hotels and convention center.
My family stayed here for one night, with 4 rooms total. Good things: Breakfast was well-stocked, and there was plenty of food. We enjoyed being able to use the lobby area in the evening for visiting, and it was clean and comfortable. All of our rooms were very clean, and I didn't see any maintenance issues. Bad things: Three of the four rooms had very hard, uncomfortable beds. We hardly got any sleep at all because the beds were so hard! The fourth floor water pressure in the shower was very low, and the shower head was so high up on the wall that changing the setting to try and make the most of the poor water pressure was difficult.
I stayed here with my kids as a mini-trip for fun before school starts again. We chose this hotel for the indoor pool. The woman who checked us in was super nice. Our room was clean and had what we needed. Comfy bed. The pool was a nice temperature. The hot tub wasn’t hot...more of a warm tub. But the most important thing was that the pool temp was good. My son did cut his foot on some sharp concrete on the pool somewhere. The breakfast was good. Especially the cinnamon rolls. But as other travelers have said, the juice machine was broken. All in all, it was a good stay.
My family and I were there this weekend to bury my grandmother. Upon waking up this morning, we found bed bugs all over my sister. My brother was bitten and my niece is pregnant. The on call management was unwilling to speak with me. She was also unwilling to refund my money. I called guest relations and all I got was a case number, I am highly dissatisfied.. do NOT stay here!!!
We have stayed at this facility several times as it is our halfway mark when traveling between Texas and Kentucky. Our most recent stay this weekend seemed totally off, perhaps they were short staffed? We were upgraded to a suite, which was very nice for our family. There was not bedding in our room for the pull out sofa bed, but called downstairs and she sat one out for us to pick up. The room across the hall from us had trays of food and 3-5 bags of trash sitting outside there door when we checked in on Thursday and it was still there on Friday. There was a breakfast tray of food sitting in the table by the 3rd floor elevator when we checked in on Thursday and still there Friday morning. The breakfast attendant was slacking in keeping the breakfast full. There were no napkins or forks, the juice machine was broke (it was broke on 12/22 when we stayed there as well), coffee was all empty, and a few of the food items were empty as well. There also was not a laundry bag in our room, but was able to get one from the front desk. Again, we have stayed here several times and this was the first bad experience we have had. Hope things are better our next stay.
We were on our way through and it’s where we landed for the night. Got a deal online and figured we were in for it since it was such a low price for the stay...complete opposite. We’re highly satisfied with everything! Desk clerk was very pleasant! The hotel looks really new. The room AND bathroom were very large! If I had to say anything negative it’s that the faucet in the shower is backwards pull towards H is cold and towards C is hot. No big deal to us we figured it out! Bed was very comfortable and other guests were quiet. breakfast in the morning was excellent! Tasty with choices for EVERYONE. Granola, yogurt, oatmeal, cereal, eggs, sausage, danishes, bagels, muffins, fruit and more! Thanks for a great stay!!
We were first given a room half made up!! Food still in fridge, etc. Then, given one in another floor with door propped open and lights on!! Not sure if room available!! Desk person hard to reach. Final room fine, but no fridge and next to elevators and ice. Typical HIE breakfast. Milk was sour.
Nice hotel, the room is good size and beds are real comfy. Staff was super friendly and ready to please the guest. My only complaint is when we checked in our room it was cold. We were traveling when the weather was really cold, and they had the air on in our room. We got the heat turned on, and went to get extra blankets because we were about to freeze. They offered to move us, but my Mother which is 85 had already crawled in her bed and went to sleep. There isn't many places to eat around the hotel also. No traffic noise either.
Our one night stay was great with no problems. Room was clean & comfortable. Shower hot water felt great after our long day of driving. Had a good breakfast in the morning. We would stay here again when we travel in Texas.
