Clean and new unit with small frig and coffee machine in large room. Well stocked common area made on-site meals easy. Had a flat on the unpaved road to the ranch (go slow!), but the gentlemen who were taking care of the property asked how they could help and filled the spare tire with onsite air compressor so we could get into town.We really enjoyed the night skies around the fire pit. Beautiful off-grid location!

We loved staying off the grid as we truly felt we were staying in the middle of the desert yet everything about our room was just what we needed. The shower was great, the bed was very comfortable. We appreciated having a refrigerator and Keurig. Everything was spotless, and the best was sitting outdoors at night watching the star show. We saw the Big Dipper, and we thought the International Space Station going past. We didn’t build a fire in the firepit, but you did have the wood there to do so. It was very nice having the cantina open so we could go in and fix what we wanted for breakfast. We will definitely stay there again when we come to the Terlingua and Big Bend area. Your whole place is such a great creation. Janis

Fantastic concept, wonderfully executed!Highly recommended!!! Absolutely loved our stay here in the land and cattle room!Sunsets are amazing peaceful and quiet.Everything needed is provided. Personally enjoyed the kitchen with fridges and freezers! Froze my bottles of water to use as cold packs for the days journeys. Room layout’s extremely comfortable; sofa at foot of bed ideal! Seamless communication,check out and in couldn’t be easier. Wonderful respite from the world’s problems!

Mostly great stay. The problem with the code for the lock brings the overall rating down. Needed stronger WiFi in order to communicate with property manager on this problem. Not everyone has the same cellular carrier so better WiFi is needed. Had it not been for a kind neighbor not sure what I would have done to get in to my room. Once inside, the room was as described in listing.

Love the peace and quiet. Everything was clean. We all know internet in Big Bend is usually none. Ten Bits internet was good, a little slow to none when everyone returned to their cabins. I was there for the beauty of the land so did not really brother me.

Definitely recommend this place. I like that it's out away from everyone. Nice and quiet. Even though it's "off grid" i never once felt like it was off grid. Whenever i come back to BBNP I'll definitely stay here again.

The room was clean and spacious. Off the beaten path but not too far so getting into town or to the park was very easy. The on site cantina was very handy when we realized we had no utensils to eat our pie with.
