Nice vibe. Some good staff. Lovely gardens and pool. Food pretty good. High occupy from our German neighbours. Not a great location for shops, bars, beach etc. Lots of steps, hills. Nice and clean. No porter - no glass of cava welcome that I thought was standard in Tenerife. Better than the snow and ice in UK. But back to the south of island / Los Christianos next time.
Another lovely peacefull holiday ,this time with Jet 2 (no problems with them at all ),this time we hired a car and went to La Oratava and Mount Teide etc all good and can recomend Cicar car hire trouble free and no catches. We had a different room this time ok but no sofa this time unlike the the garden rooms,so only had a wicker chair to sit in apart from the balcony chairs.Really enjoyed the park at the back of the hotel and the lovely gardens of the hotel ,which are kept immaculate by the team of gardeners.Big thanks to the staff who are a really good bunch especially Santa in the restaurant who couldn't do enough for us and it really makes a difference. The only thing i don't like is Cruz Campo beer why they do not have Dorado or Estrella i don't know, please get an alternative beer in .Until the next time as we will be back.
This is billed as a 4 star but would give it 2 a very best. The room we were given in no way matched any photo we have seen for this hotel. The room was bland with no colour. The beds needs new matresses and a bed throw would of been good to at least add decoration. The air con made the room warmer not cooler. On arrival we asked for another room and was directed to look at another. This was equally as bad but without a balcony that we had paid for. We even offered to pay to upgrade to a superior but was told that we couldnt. My partner was in tears. We have stayed in better quality travelodges. We contacted the TUI rep and asked to move hotels and agreed to pay extra. It took 4 days to get an answer by which time we were looking to come home. The food was equally as poor and after the first night decided to eat out. It was on the first night as well that my partner was ill from the food and i became ill from what we were told was ice cubes in the hotel made from unfiltered tap water. This should not happen in a 4 star hotel and the reception staff were not intetested. Entertainment is not worth watching and we went to the puerto palace hotel 2mins away and watched theirs at night. Far superior. The tiled area around the swimming pool is very slippy even when dry. We wanted pool towels on the morning of the 2nd day asked for them at 9.45am and was told didnt have any come back in an hour. The age group this hotel caters for is definately for the elderly. We are both in our mid 50's and were amongst the youngest to stay. The hotel is a 15minute walk to puerto de la cruz harbour all down hill. Lots of places to eat and drink. A taxi back is around €4 but some taxi's will try to rip you off and charge more. The photos show what the rooms are realy like. Overall we enjoyed being in Tenerife for tbe first time but woukd not reccomend this hotel to anyone.
Really nice and chilled out hotel. Not a party hotel, but really close to town and all the restaurants & night life. They have music most nights by the pool which was quite fun before going into town for dinner. We didn’t have dinner there but the breakfast was great! SO much fresh bread, full english if you want, meats, cheeses, fruit, yogurt and even ice cream! It was pretty busy but there was always heaps of food. We found if you went after 9am it was a bit quieter. We went in November and had no trouble getting a sun bed after breakfast. They also had a few activities around the pool each day which we joined in with, paella making and facemasks. The rooms are basic but really clean, we were never in the room anyway. There is a fridge but no kettle? I guess its too hot for tea? Overall we were really happy and would defiantly recommend!
If you are age 50 and over this hotel is for you. When we came with 2 kids there was no one age under 60. no activities for kids, no lift so had to carry the pushchair upstairs. No kitchen or even kettle in the room! And when we asked for room with It they said they don’t provide any of it! Pool ok just very slippery around, had to be very careful when you walk. Food was very good on few occasions and terrible on some nights. Very friendly staff. Rooms are very dated.
Excellent food, friendly staff, quiet and relaxing gardens with a beautiful pool. The rooms were a little dated but spotlessly clean. Entertainment was especially good with "White Party" night and traditional Flamenco dancing on another. Day time activities included Paella cooking and cocktails classes, all well organised and great fun .
location good but far from sea, taxi and bus station near the hotel, food good with a wide range of dishes , pool clean and bid, stuff great and helpfull, strange smell of oldness, a lot of beautifull plants in all hotel area
We checked in and the room was very disappointing! We booked a 4 * hotel and didn't expect the room to be quite so dated. The first night I got bit 10-12 by mosquitoes, this was due the balcony was in front of what seemed like a jungle. We asked for our room to be changed the next day and it was equally as dated but was happy it didn't have a jungle in front of the balcony. The food was very samey every day and my boyfriend was living off salad as there was hardly any vegetarian main dishes. There was no entertainment in the day and the evening entertainment was a live singer. The singer alternated between 3 different ones but sang the same songs this became very boring. There was hardly anywhere to go in the area of the hotel especially in the evening so we were stuck in the hotel. It got that bad we called our airline to see if we could fly home sooner. The pool was freezing !
It was good overall but food was only good on certain days. The pool was amazing with a great balcony view. It is close to a Mall and many food places. In general amazing hotel with great service. 10/10.
I recently stayed at this hotel. Booked at last minute for a relaxing break away and for my 60 the birthday. Arrived late night so missed evening meal and couldn't really get a sense of the hotel and grounds. Stayed in 1317. At the back of the hotel. No view just a wall and a couple of trees. Next morning came down to breakfast. Very good. Choice was great. Catering for all tastes. Cooked fresh to order or prepared in large trays. Lots of hams, cheeses, breads , fresh fruit. Tea, coffee or juice from machines. Que forms quickly for toaster. One thing. You need to set up a credit account at the reception on arrival. Not essential, but recommended as it makes ordering drinks, snacks etc much easier. Room very clean and kept that way. Grounds are beautiful. Small pool but areas to sit with fountain's and lots of flowers and trees. As per the rooms the grounds are kept very tidy and clean. Lots of sun beds and life guard on duty around the pool. Hotel is a way out of town up a very long set of hills ( it is a volcanic island ). Free shuttle buses morning and back at night so no issues getting into town. Or taxis outside cost about 3-4 euros each way. Staff very polite and attentive , nothing to much trouble. Even had a surprise gift of wine and fruit in my room for my birthday from the hotel. A nice touch which I appreciated. Guests mainly German and elderly so place is perfect to chill and relax. Would I come again. Definite yes.
