very long check in, staff rude to british people,we were in room p43 lower minus 2 no lift to that level, loud music coming from bar across the way untill midnight, asked to move next morning only one room availoble on first floor so had look, overlooking car park no thank you,told we could upgrade for 30 euros a night it was exactly the same room as we were i n so no why 30 euros a night more,meal times not enough staff to clear tables so did it ourselves, plates at meal times had to clean because had not been dried after washed

one wk half board from 06/02/18. usually stay in arona but fancied somewhere different....BIG MISTAKE. arrived at hotel and was told theres your key you are on floor 8 and lifts are down there ! I asked if I had a seaview room or can pay to upgrade as hubbys birthday but reception said no. our room was on the front of hotel and very noisy. I had to ask cleaner two days running for toilet roll food was barely hot every day even tho replenished often there was a lot of choice. who wants cold sausage and beans. the plates remained on the table longer than necessary, dirty. pool area manky, there was a pair of knickers on floor and still there 4 days later. sunloungers RESERVED even tho signs said not too ( not by the English !!) no service around pool or in restaurant. poor service in entertainment bar. ordered gin and tonic and a vodka and tonic and got the mixers with a glass of ice, sat for 30 mins without the spirits in glass so had to go to bar to ask for it. tui does not advertise a privalidge option. you can pay 34 euro a night each for this just to get better service and a dressing gown and slippers but we did not know it existed and having paid £1700 already thought it was a joke. we asked if we could eat in al a carte and reception said yes if we pay so we booked it and then went to ask if we could eat by a window table and were told yes, but then asked if we were privaledge and when we said no reception said well no we cant guarantee you a table so we cancelled and ate out. felt like a second class holiday maker and hated every minute of being in this hotel. did not see tui reps all week until last night. having told her our concerns she told me we could have changed rooms and hotel was not full. hotel had lots of germans and Italians who appeared to get better service, we were told on day 4 we have got to sit at our same allocated table each time, which always had some one already sat there. pool bar woman really rude, she slammed the pen on bar at us and hubby said this is my holiday don't be so aggressive. I can honestly say I cannot name a member of staff that was helpful. so if you want cold food and poor service that lets people reserve sunbeds then come here. if you want supreme service go to arona gran where we normally go and should of returned to as its excellent. waste of £1700

Greeted by Denisa with her usual smile and advised us we had been upgraded to a superior suite. What a start to our holidays. No faults with this hotel, all round great service. Wide choice of food, hot plates for hot food, one thing I like to see!. A microwave is available if you feel the need to heat your food. Great service from the staff, clearing tables quickly. I watched staff carrying food and helping with drinks for the not so abled quests. Varied entertainment to suit most together with daytime activities. Been home less than 24 hours and have booked again for January 2019 for our usual five days winter break (wish it could be longer).

We recently stayed in this hotel, stay was great but occasionally the buffet food was not very warm and the dining room very crowded but overall everything was great apart that is from the case point. Initially when we arrived we decided to cash money at the ATM in the hotel having started the transaction we cancelled it when we realised that the transaction exchange rate was poor, however we did then cash from the same machine a smaller amount to keep us going until we were able to go to a bank. However when checking my account both amount of funds had been withdrawn from my account. Currently I am in contact with the bank to get the issue sorted but I want to warm others that yes the cash point is convenient the hotel but stick with using cash machines at a bank.

Second stay at the Gran Tinerfe, not sure there will be a third if I'm honest. Check in again remains chaotic, we were sat waiting over 30 minutes and again people who arrived after us checked in before us. We were allocated a room at the front of the hotel and there was a generator near our room that was noisy and meant sitting on the balcony was unpleasant. Our room had a shower over the bath, and the shower screen didn't fit well and meant the bathroom flooded regularly, and the bathroom always smelled very damp. Our room was cleaned most days, but not to align standard. We were missed a couple of times and had to ring reception for fresh towels. The bedding wasn't changed. The restaurant was ok,but I'm not keen on set times for dinner - it seems restrictive. Food was alright, but as usual in buffets not always hot and sometimes it took ages for the food trays to be replenished. Part of the poolside was cordoned off due to maintenance, which meant the other sun beds were crammed in quite close to each other. The hotel has definitely lost its sparkle, and wasn't as good as the last time we visited, not sure we'll be returning.

just returned from our holiday and had a fantastic time we arrived early afternoon and our room wasnt ready and we didnt mind and we waited in the privillage lounge i had emailed the hotel to ask for a room that we like we didnt get this and not a room in the same area but again this didnt matter as the room was lovely the staff at this hotel are the best that i have ever come across nothing is too much trouble on my birthday i got a cake and a bottle of cava from the hotel and then in the evening i was given red roses thanks to jorge and his team in the mirador i agree with one of the other reviews it gets very boring listening to the same thing every nigt whilst the certificates are given out it takes such a long time and i am one of the people who leaves all the other hotels that i have stayed at give the prizes or certificates out when the game finishes i would strongly recomend people to try the privillage package it is a lot of money but you do get a lot for it and you meet the same people time and time again this time we shared our dining between the buffet and the mirador we will be back in june and then september but dont think i would go at this time of year again the weather wasnt that good aand a lot of cold winds

Book this hotel before they put the price up as they surely will ! Its streets ahead of other nearby similarly rated hotels. eg The Jardin Tropical is lots more expensive.Though both are seafront,have nice rooms,and a very good varied menu .The Tinerfe scores on more attentive staff,much better entertainment,superior pool areas with staff discretely preventing selfish bed saving,better maintenance,and finally a nearby sandy beach location

On arrival this hotel really catches the eye it is modern, lovely terrace, good pool areas and the room didn't disappoint we were on a last minute week away from our awful winter and had booked just a basic room but first impression was fine good big comfy bed. Then then the down side, the shower, wall mounted in a half sized bath and the shower door leaked so ever time we used it we had to mop up, storage very limited ok for a week but not longer. Mini bar you don't have to use it ( very pricey) but you are also told that if you put anything you buy in it the chambermaid will remove it. Bar prices are dear especially when compared to bars just outside and you cant pay for anything you have to sign for it and charged at the end of your stay. Big whinge, the food, by and large I don't expect too much from buffet food but my personal experience ( and that of others we spoke to) was that it is awful, limited in choice and just not hot (cold buritto anyone) breakfast is a joke if you like an English breakfast, if you like an omelette ok until you see the big plastic bottle of pre whipped egg that its poured from, you could have a fried egg done in a little round thing, burnt on the bottom totally raw on top, choice of sausages, the closet these came to a pig must have been when the delivery driver passed a farm, and cold after the first day I had to have one every day to see if I could get a hot one, NO. I have never been there before, will come back to Costa Adeje wouldn't stay here for free. Plus side being forced to eat out three times in a week we found the finest indian food we have ever eaten if you there go to Rani's tandoori don't be put of by the décor the food is out of this world.

We stayed at the hotel for 10 nights between the 30th January and the 9th February 2018. It was enjoyable and overall very good. We were in room S26. Reception described this as a ‘bungalow’. It’s detached from the main block on floor minus 2 (-2), some two floors down from reception. We liked the room, but the soundproofing was almost non-existent. We could hear next door’s conversations and even hear them stirring their drinks as the spoon hit the side of the cup! That’s how bad it was. Payment at the hotel is purely on a credit card basis - no cash transactions. More and more of the hotels seem to be doing this. When any charges are incurred, e.g. for drinks, then it is necessary to produce the room card that is issued on arrival. This shows the room number.A receipt is then issued, which they insist that you sign. It is this that I would like to highlight and express concern about. The receipts are issued on a self-carbonating form and the recipient gets the bottom one, the third, pink form to retain. The staff retain the others. In particular, in the buffet restaurant, as often as not, they would not put the date on the form. Also, it was usual for the pink form to be virtually illegible due to poor scribbled handwriting and being a faded copy which had not carbonated through. Furthermore, the buffet waiters would not include the all-important COST of the transaction on the form. This is most unsatisfactory. And they would not issue a printed till receipt. (Mike’s café would do this on request.) I got the impression that the buffet staff were either too busy or too idle to look inside the drinks menu to ascertain the cost. They are cutting corners. I didn’t like it. It’s time that they smartened up their act. When dealing with money matters, things should be transparent and the paperwork should be meticulous. It isn’t at this hotel, unfortunately. I've had no similar complaints at other hotels,

Only 20mins drive to hotel from airport. Buffet style for breakfast & dinner - good choice if not a bit confused at times. Those on Premium packages can eat in an ala carte restaurant on site - Italian theme I think. Outside tables lovely for morning breakfast views of the beach. Lots of sun beds with hotel rules of no towels before 10am. Sun bed towels can be hired for €18/ wk + €10 refundable deposit for one week Outside jacuzzi - small but nice. Gym small but ok. NY eve party good fun - you needed to buy cava at €40 per bottle to book a table & enjoy the disco & band. But other restaurants/clubs nearby were charging €100 per couple so not bad deal overall. No loud music after 11ish Hotel On sea front - literally Staff friendly and English spoken. The slight negatives were:- Room Towels were very worn with holes but changed everyday Mattresses bit firm Lamp not working Shower leaks over the side of the bath Not allowed to take fruit from breakfast ! Seemed mean considering there was so much food available at breakfast. No iron/ ironing board - hotel charged for ironing service. Room safe only big enough for small items likes phones & passports.
