Travelled in a couple, aged 24 and 25, in August for 10 nights all inclusive. On the whole the both of us had an excellent holiday and absolutely would recommend to others. The location was excellent and I would say is perfect for everyone from couples to families. It was on the doorstep of the beach and there were lots of restaurants and shops within close proximity and if you did want to head to the clubs Las Americas was a 15 minute walk down the beach front on your left, which was lined with shops and bars on the way making it painless! The hotel itself was very eye-catching from both the outside and inside with lots of space to sit outside. The pool bar was really good with a large range of cocktails and other drinks included in the all inclusive. They served the beer (san miguel) out of pint glasses on an evening as well which was a huge benefit to not have to get up to go to the bar every 5 minutes. There was also a self serve section beside the bar which had soft drinks, water and beer. This was really helpful. The only down fall was that the all inclusive ended at 11 even though the entertainment sometimes went on later than this. The entertainment however, was probably the hotels biggest down fall for us. Every night there was a kids club which entailed the same few songs being played and some awards handed out. After that there was one themed thing on which lasted between 30 mins - 1 hour. Not as much as we have been previously used to with bingo and audience participation games as well as out sourced entertainers. Food on an evening was usually themed and this seemed like a good idea in order to try something different each night. There was always a good spread of food however as a vegetarian I did sometimes have trouble finding something to eat. Food on occasions had been labelled as vegetarian when it was clear that it had meat in and the BBQ night was quite restrictive for me too. However, for meat eaters there seemed to be a wide range of food on offer. Staff at dinner and tea were very pro-active and ensured tables were cleared quickly and drinks were refilled. All this being said, the hotel was really excellent and we had an brilliant holiday. I absolutely would recommend both the location and hotel to others! P.S. There is an Indian restaurant called Bombay Babu, just outside the side exit near the pool which is absolutely amazing! 100% worth a visit!
We visited the La Niña in June where we had fabulous weather, staying in a fabulous hotel in our favourite Tenerife resort. Our room was small but we has booked the promo room as a last minute get away, the hotel is incredibly clean and the food was delicious, by far the best tasting all inclusive food I have had, we received excellent service, our room was cleaned everyday and to top it of they had cava on tap as part of the all inclusive. Evening entertainment wasn't bad and the location of the hotel is brilliant as we wanted to be near to the beaches and harbour. The whole feel of the place is light and airy and clean and I wouldn't hesitate staying there again or recommending it.
With just a couple of days left at Be Live La Niña I wanted to write a review before returning England. This is a fantastic all inclusive hotel and we couldn't have asked for more. Room We stayed in rooms 1004 and 1003 on the 10th floor and we had large balconies with a sea view. It was amazing looking out of the doors each morning. Air con isn't overly powerful but it does the job, rooms cleaned well every day and we had plenty of space. Safe with key is 11 euros deposit and 3 euros per day. Jacuzzi bath was lovely and warm and at night we didn't hear any noise at all. There is work going on in some rooms and a couple of days in we did hear some drilling at about 8:30 am but nothing too bad. Work at a hotel next door didn't bother us at all either! Food Food is themed each day for dinner and opens between 7-10. The BBQ night outside was the best. I read reviews about queues but we didn't have to queue at all and the food was delicious. The waiters couldn't do enough for you and drinks came quickly. They really do a smashing job in the kitchen and front of house. I have a fussy 12 year old and there was always something for him to eat. On my sons birthday they made him a cake and brought it out during lunch- a very nice touch- thank you! This was arranged through reception. They also sent up a card and sweets to the room! Snacks around the pool are great - You never have to wait long. Drinks are available all day but all inclusive finishes at 11. Again lots of choice drinks wise. I loved the sangria. Location Perfect spot really.... 3 minute walk to the beach with lots of bars and food places. The beach in front of the hotel has an aqua park on the water which is 15 euros for all day. Children can go in and out as they please. In a taxi it takes about ten minutes to Siam park and mall and it is only about 5 euros. Siam nights was great due to the queues being short and it was nice and cool at night. There is a ticket shop at the side of the hotel and we got really good deals for tickets in there. Pool and entertainment Pool was clean, spacious and fun. Entertainment team work very hard and there is a good atmosphere around the pool. We had to play the sunlounger game because we quickly learned that unless you get a towel down by 9 you don't get a lounger. We took our towels away if we were going off to lunch etc as we never spent all day at the pool anyway but some people leave them there hours. Later in the day some do become available. Activities are planned during the day then awards given out in the evening after the children's disco. Pool is pretty warm and the life guard is around all day. If you can't get a lounger there's plenty of chairs and tables. Kids club looked good but not having small children I don't know too much about it. Evening entertainment for adults started at about 10. It was quite entertaining after a few drinks but not amazing. The kids loved it! All in all after visiting the hotel we would definitely return! Thank you for a great visit!
We have travelled to 4 / 5 star hotels in Tenerife on 9 occasions. Simply speaking these are the key facts. The rooms are fine - not the biggest, probably could be upgraded but fine and always cleaned. The food is outstanding, theme nights, great selection throughout the day for the AI package, the pool side bar is always well stocked from pizza and chips, burgers, toasties to fruit and salad pots, cookies, cakes and ice creams. We have paid over 100 euros in Tenerife for a family meal and it wasn't as good as some of the food they offer at La Nina - Must have a few top chefs in there. The reception and bar staff are the best we have ever come across - truly truly amazing staff work at this hotel - Friendly, fun, helpful, caring.. they are outstanding. The location is great. Evening entertainment was good most of the time. The pool side is small but its only around 250 rooms so big enough, its clean, plenty of beds, probably need a few more umbrellas - pool looks clean but guessing the filters needing changing or cleaning as lots of floating debris in there. You need to be on floor 7 upwards to get the sea view from most rooms. We would totally recommend this hotel - Loved it!
We stayed at La Nina as a family group of 9 for 2 weeks at the end of July. We were a bit concerned by the reviews mentioning the building works but could see that it wasn't La Ninas fault and whilst we were offered an opportunity to change a few weeks before travelling we decided to stick with our plans. I'm so glad we didn't let it put us off as we had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend. The works posed no issue at all and didn't affect us one bit. We had 3 rooms next to each other with a lovely sea view. The hotel is really close to the beach which is just a few minutes away (quickest way is via the hotels back steps). There's a small cove, next to a marina and a larger beach further along. The resort is really popular with plenty of shops and restaurants. We visited Siam Mall and Plaza del Duq for an evening walk and both worth a visit as they offer more than the local souvenir shops. The walk to plaza del Duq is a nice one, along the promenade. We also spent a day at nearby Siam Park which was brilliant. Great slides, brilliant wave pool, loads of sun beds, chairs if you want a base. Really good value and once inside the cost of drinks, snacks and water shoes if you want them, is reasonable. We walked but there's a free bus too. The hotel itself is clean, bright and airy, it is undergoing some refurbishment and you can see it will be even better at the end of the year. We were happy with our room, which was cleaned daily, pleased it had a fridge too, and we didn't have to buy our own water which we've had to do before, as you could get bottles from the bar. The guests seemed mainly English with some Spanish, German, French - which was good as personally I think it's better to have a mix of nationalities. I don't see the point of the VIP sections, I can't see they offer much benefit. Although I would have liked to see the view from the roof. We enjoyed the variety of food and were always able to get lots of things we wanted to eat. If food needed replenishing, like chips which go quick, then alerting the staff speeded things up rather than just waiting for them to notice. This is one area I think could be improved though, more regular checking, particularly at busy times. But if you ask, all the staff are very helpful. We enjoyed all the themed nights. The young people in our group all enjoyed the food too, particularly the desserts. They often ate from the pool bar during the day and could always get something they wanted eg chips hotdog burger pizza cake ice cream, there is salad and fruit available too plus pastries, breakfast items etc They also got involved with lots of the animation team's activities archery, rifle shooting, darts, boules; and had loads of fun in the pool with water polo, water gym, the walk on water mat, the inflatables and foam party. It was clear that the staff paid particular attention to safety, shout out to the dancing lifeguard : ) keeping a close eye on things especially with the big inflate able course and the foam party in the pool, with buoyancy jackets for little ones. Manuele, Cristian, Yani and David did a great job and worked hard to involve everyone. It can be awkward when the kids are too old to go in mini club but not quite old enough to do the adult activities but the animation team work hard to accommodate where possible and get the right balance - thank you. They also do a fab job with the mini disco and are really lovely with the little ones when they get knocked out of the competition. Spent most of my time sunbathing but did play boules which was fun, learned how to make sangria and attempted the walk on water, well you have to try! The waiters and bar staff are all friendly and work hard, they have a good queueing system in place if it's busy and politely point it out to the odd guest who doesn't notice it. We never had to wait long to be served. The bar shuts earlier than in some places but we never found it an issue, we just got a double round. The evening entertainment was good, similar to other places we've stayed and just what we expected. Johnny Circus was great, when I saw the poster I thought he'd be a bit naff but he was really good and was around early in the evening making the children at the mini disco laugh and I suspect, sizing up which adults he would involve in his show later. On our last day we made use of the spa in the afternoon before we got picked up at 5. It was worth the 5 euros each and I wish I'd made use of the free pass we were given for first couple of days, but in day 1-3 we were more interested in the sunshine! All in all, we had a lovely time and would definitely return to Tenerife and to La Niña.
Absolutely lovely hotel in perfect location in the middle of everything although you wouldn't know this once in the hotel. Could always get a sunbed even as late as 11 o'clock some days, pool bar fab for drinks and food, very clean and very friendly staff. Room was lovely, our only niggle was air con not working properly, asked reception twice but then gave up as could cope with it. Restaurant lovely with great choice. All in all you cannot go wrong with this hotel, it seems they have everything sized right for amount of guests, as hotel full and you would never have thought so, no queues in restaurant no matter what time we went, even for the toaster!!! Could always get a seat outside too for meals. Lovely stay and wouldn't hesitate to go back.
I went for a week and retrospectively realised I should've gone for ten days! The hotel is fantastic and especially the indoor areas are beautifully constructed. On of the main features is the stunning pools, one of which is heated however the other is mind-bendingly cold. The food at all three meals is delicious and pool bar offers snacks all day long so if it get peckish you can go over there and grab something. The room I had was at the top of the tower and spread over two floors, it is probably the nicest room I have ever stayed in, the beds are great and the bathrooms are amazing! Finally the entertainment, there is something there for everyone, especially the kids during the day but the asulrs are not forgotten in any way.
Just arrived home after 11 nights we had 2 rooms with maybe the best view of fanabe beach and over the Atlantic towards la gomera food themes great good choices breakfast and lunch bit repetitive but good dinner was the best we liked Chinese and Indian and barbecue nights catering staff waiters are brilliant working very hard and very polite especially the guys outside on patio entertainment guys very nice and happy cleaning staff very nice our only negative was the reception staff not all but maybe half need to smile more ,thanks for a great holiday btw great location and hotel 👍
I fell into the trap of spending hours reading all the reviews and realised some people will find faults in anything. This hotel is fantastic. Fantastic food, fantastic service, the staff do not stop. Building work going on next door you do not hear one bit. Pool facilities and entertainment is spot on. Rooms were incredibly clean fresh towels every day. You're 2 minute walk from the beach. Everyone is happy to help. Would 100% stay again without a shadow of a doubt.
My wife and i both enjoyed our experience with very little to complain about and intend to return for our third visit very soon. The staff are very nice and very helpful in all the different areas of the hotel
