however the hotel needs a lot of work to get it to good condition...

Very small rooms. Absolutely no space. Kinda for Barbie. Mosquitos!!! Bad soundproofing. Do not take rooms next to lobby!

I had the worst experience at this hotel. Rooms are tiny and not well kept. The cleanliness of the hotel leaves a lot to be desired. Breakfast was bad. On the second day I was there they served the leftovers from the previous day. The hotel is well-located but it is very noisy, especially at night. I also left a personal item in the room. I called the same night to get it back and they claim they did not find it. The item had no economic value, so it was not a theft: just irresponsibility and carelessness about customers' belongings. I don't understand the good comments I read. It seems they are talking about a completely different hotel.

it was small , But central and clean , its right in the center of all things you want to be near.

Clean room and small, great location, perfect for a short visit

The Central is a good solution for budget travelers who need a decent place to sleep in the heart of Tel Aviv. The rooms are clean, there is hot water, the continental breakfast is nicely presented in the hotel's courtyard garden. This place really is OK for the rate charged but travelers should know there that the walls between the rooms are paper thin- you can hear the conversations and other activities of your next door guests. There is a bare minimum of space to unpack one's belongings and no room for a chair or a small table in any of the rooms. The reception and maintenance staff are kind and considerate. This a good place for a single traveler not a romantic setting for a couple.

Room was decorated cute and was clean but four handle was about to fall off, sink handke was loose, shower head was nice, but only pointed to walk and not on you. Biggest problem is the website said it provide an airport shuttle which it didn't. This added $45 each way!!

i walked into an 8 x 10 room with a queen size bed and a fridge with a bathroom . The bed squeaked and the noise from outside kept us up all night. i wouldn't recommend this hotel to a new visitor

The best things about this hotel are the staff and the location...within walking distance to the fabulous beach in Tel Aviv and many restaurants and cafes. The rooms are small unless you get a larger one on the second floor, which we finally were able to do on our two last nights. This is not the Ritz, but the price and location are great. It is clean and friendly.

Stayed one night, everything was perfect including hotel personal.

The room didn't match the picture online. It was compact and bare to the degree of comical. 3 staffers during 3 shifts were not helpful or friendly. Took me an hour to find paid parking with language difficulty and indifference from the staffer. Good thing that I was only use it as a rest stop between early afternoon and midnight and it was located in the center of Tel Aviv.

I was welcomed from my long non stop flight on EL Al airlines from Angeles by Regina; who immediately made me feel at home. My room was clean and had the extra pillows I needed due to my cervical surgery I'm recovered from. Regina promptly tended to all of my needs from explaining the safe deposit box, to lock up my jewelry... then she went above and beyond, giving me walking directions to the best authentic Israeli gourmet restaurant & closest local market. Everyday I was there, any detail, bus route taxi anything I needed Regina and every staff member help me. Many thanks to the Central Hotel, on my next trip I will be coming right back and staying with you in Tel Aviv!...Millicent Sheridan

The hotel has a good location - close to beaches and to bank streets. Room were clean. But it was too noisy outside. Hotel has beautiful garden. Breakfast was poor. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

I have to believe that the glowing reviews were written by the staff or friends because for the price, it was pathetic. The location is fine and the staff was friendly and helpful but our room was tiny, noisy and, shall we say, well-worn. The queen size bed took up 2/3 of the room. The shower/bathroom was tinier still and the sink the tiniest I've seen in my life; an oval about 11 inches by 6 inches. You can't wash your face without getting your legs and feet wet. The floor of the room was partially covered by thin, red, industrial mats that needed vacuuming. The bottom, fitted sheet didn't fit the mattress and came partially off each night. Their website calls it a "boutique hotel" and "stylish". It also boasts "sound-proof rooms". This is a cruel joke. We had room 111, across the narrow hall from the "dining room" and by the reception desk. Every noise is heard clearly inside the room, people passing late at night, staff talking on the phone, guests eating the mediocre breakfast etc.. There was no seal around the thin door which was clearly silhouetted by light from the hallway and allowed all noises through. A spritzer was installed high on the wall. Every half hour or so it squirted a cloying fragrance to mask the odors from the bathroom. In Southeast Asia, I wouldn't be surprised to pay 10, maybe 15 dollars for a room like this in a guesthouse. But at least there, the floors would be immaculate. Their "garden" is nothing more than a dilapidated patio. All in all, an over-priced dump!

Very small hotel, very small room, very small bath room. No air in bathroom; stinking if door closed for too long, and a lot of steam (forget the mirror... Plenty of unpleasant details: breakfast is a joke, room is poorly insulated: you can hear the conversations in the lobby, garbage can was full, dirty towel still on the floor, everything polyester, window opens to a wall, very complicated TV, terrible design (kettle cord too short to plug, bedside lamp without bulb). We spent two nights, which means it was not that terrible, but we will not go back.

Staff was excellent. Internet fast and reliable. Breakfast adequate. Location perfect. Rooms are small - but adequate and clean.

the best of all was the staff everybody was wonderful helpfull the rooms perfect for 2 people very clean the location amazing I will defenetly comeback to this hotel, special thanks to the frontdesk employees for all the direccions to places of interest and going out of their way looking for addresses bus numbers and everything else wonderful staff

The staff including Daniel and Odelia were very hospitable. Odelia assisted us in many ways, directions, taxis and tours. She is friendly and warm an asset. Daniel makes great coffee. The location was excellent for the beautiful beach. Room is small, yet clean and comfortable.

Soon after checking in, I realized that I probably had appendicitis. The staff directed me to the nearest hospital (Ichilov). I was back in the hotel postop the next day, and the staff had arranged a slightly larger room to help me out, at no greater charge. We loved this hotel; it is 1-2 blocks from the beach, yet the prices were much gentler than some of the big names nearby. Israeli buffet breakfast was excellent (they will make you espresso/cappuccino, but you have to ask for it). The 5 o'clock wine and snack service was enjoyed, and the wine was replenished if the bottles were finished. The only two negatives: rooms are smallish, and there is construction nearby. If you want a luxury hotel, this hotel probably isn't it; but if you want an affordable place to sleep and have breakfast, this is the one. We will return.

First of all, this hotel is named Art+ Hotel, not TOP. [...]I just returned from a 10 day stay in Israel and spent 5 nights at Art+ with my Fiance. The hotel is ultra modern and spotless clean. It must have been gut renovated recently, but it looks like it's a brand new hotel from the ground up. Our room was a good size, it was spotless, had good closet space. The bathroom was very modern, clean, and awesome. Its location on Ben Yehuda street can't be beat. One block from the beach and surrounded by cool shops/boutiques and restaurants. We had complimentary Israeli breakfast every morning and it was delicious and plentyfull. Will definitely stay again the next time I visit Tel Aviv. My only complaint was the WiFi connection in our room. It constantly dropped out and we had to go downstairs in the lobby to get a connection.
