The overall experience was below expectations. The hotel is quite far from the centre and there is no way you can find a parking at a reasonable price. I contacted the hotel to have information regarding the parking in the surrounding and nobody answered me (moreover when I complained about that, the girl at the reception told me she hadn't received any email form me and never apologized). They also told us we'd been upgraded to a suite (room 212) but I really doubt that was true, as the room looked like a regular one from the pictures on the hotel website. The bathroom did not have a proper shower, it was arranged into the bath tub. Additionally the heating system was not working hand nobody was able to help us so we had to ask for extra blankets. Fortunately the breakfast was really delicious, various and provided with great quality food from salads to sweets to eggs cooked in several ways.
This was a perfect hotel as I was visiting customers at the Weizmann Institute. The staff on the desk were very welcoming and happy to help. The room was very comfortable and clean. They do a lovely breakfast buffet with a huge selection.
I'm writing this before I've even finished staying here and is the first negative review I've ever written. The staff need a lesson in courtesy and the domestic are terrible . Our room is made up by just pulling the covers up on the bed.the front desk when asked about bathroom products not put in said they will send some up ...never happened. .. When trying to contact front desk by telephone .. Never answered. How this got ever got 9.3 is unbelievable. Paint worn in bathroom and blind old and not working properly. Water takes an age to drain in the shower . No teaspoon for making coffee. Here on our honeymoon and went by the star rating to give my wife a treat . Bad mistake.. I should have read the comments first. Will continue this after checkout...
One can argue about the design but you know what you book no? Overall it is a clean hotel with friendly staff but not exceeding the expectations though. Israeli breakfast is quite good. What I like best is actually the lounge on the 9th floor where you can work or socialise including some free bites. Would come again!
I really don’t want to give this place a negative review because I really enjoyed staying here and the staff went out of their way to accommodate requests (even if they had to be made a few times). The hotel is new and final touches were still being applied when we visited but it is trying so hard and needs to be commended for that. There is a construction site nearby which is not too much of a problem, if you’re sensitive to a very slight drilling noise, ask for a room away from this. It is not a major problem though so don’t be put off. The hotel is in an excellent location between the old and new towns. I think attention to detail could be better in relation to cleaniness but it wasn’t dirty either and decor is good. I would consider booking here again.
I stayed at Leonardo Boutique for two weeks and first I was shocked by the black color of the hallways and rooms. The room was different than what I am used too but was ok. The breakfast was very good and had a very good coffee. After couple of days I meet Roni and she was very nice and always ready to help. Roni is a person who knows how to greet her guest with a smile on her face every time was there. Also I meet Itmar (night shift person) who helped me with my tours in the morning to make sure I am taking the right taxi. I will like to say thank you to Roni and Itmar for helping me to feel like home.
I stayed at the Leonardo for 7 days on a recent business trip, working with a company in the area. Rooms are small, as is probably the norm, but the other aspects of the hotel were very good. The included breakfast buffet is probably the best I have seen in a hotel, and the 9th floor "business lounge" is a nice spot for a glass of wine to end the day. Its a bit of a trek (70 ILS) if you want to visit the beachfront or Jaffa but if working in the business area everything is within walking distance. Recommended.
I had to make a last minute hotel reservation for Tel Aviv and the Leonardo Boutique was one of the only affordable places with availability. I had never heard of it before, but it was relatively close to where I had business meetings so I made the reservation. This is the perfect place for business people. Rooms are spacious and comfortable and nicely appointed. There is a fantastic lounge on the top floor with snacks and meeting spaces (as well as computers, printers, etc) and a not too shabby small gym. The ONLY complaint I have is that there is no ice machine. I love ice. I know, ice is not a standard thing for Israeli hotels, but I had to have one thing to complain about.
The style of the hotel is very modern and the decoration is very interesting. All the walls are black and there are lots of sparkly mirrors everywhere. The bed was quite comfortable, but I was traveling with a colleague, not a close friend, and we requested 2 beds. We got a room with a king bed and a small (very hard) cot that neither of us wanted to sleep on. There was one outlet in the room in the bathroom for charging devices (hardly modern). There was no door for the bathroom area. Since I was traveling with a colleague, it was quite awkward. Also, there seems to be some issue with the hot water as I was never able to get more than luke warm water in the shower. Also, be warned, there is no parking at the hotel, so if you are coming with a car be prepared to drive around looking for parking, and probably paying for a lot.
I stayed in this hotel during my visit to Tel Aviv. The hotel is in the middle of the business district in Tel Aviv, on the other side of the street there are a few medical centers. I was on the second floor, on the edge near the street. Bare in mind that traffic continues 24/7 and make sometime a lot of noise in my room i couldn't open a window because of the noise, luckily i had airco. Wifi was on this remote room in the hotel very slow, not enough to stream or to Skype. My room was above the place where a lot of people were outside taking a smoke. No fun when you are trying to sleep. Breakfast was quite good ! In general this hotel didn't stand out in service and comfort. Before my arrival i emailed to hotel to ask about the size of the beds (as I'm quite long) but i still have to receive a response. That is bad for a hotel ! The lady at the reception was not very friendly to me and my colleagues.
