I enjoyed the 14th floor room with sea view. The KGB is long gone, but you can still imagine its presence especially if you visit the museum on 23th. Good view over the city; the hotel is well located, all downtown activities are around.

I like the Sokos Hotel. Please keep that environment what is in there. This is the reason to come back again. This is the rear hotel where is saved something old in very good way, which make this hotel as a home.

Viru was pleasant surprise to me. Staff were nice, room was clean, nice and quiet. Breakfast was good. I really recommend this hotel. We took business room, it was at floor, there was good view over the Tallinn. All the staff with whom we were dealing spoke English and Finnish and were really helpful and nice.

Great location near entrance to Old Town. Room was kind of small, but I was only here 1 night. Clean & comfort with nice breakfast. Only complaint was lack of an in-room safe for your valuables. Hotel has interesting history. Was first skyscraper in town built in 1972. Was built as hotel for foreign visitors and hotel staff was KGB employees. Our guide joked that hotel was constructed with "micro-concrete" -- it was 1/'2 concrete and 1/2 microphones. There is a KGB Museum in the hotel showing all of spy equipment.

The bed was very comfortable and bed linen very soft, location is very good, the room needs refreshing, breakfast was limited amount at 10 o'clock on Saturday morning, hotel employee was very nice, unfortunately the view was to the city and very grey

Beautiful view from the windows, the higher the better. Wonderful breakfasts, friendly staff in the restaurant and at the reception. Convenient, but old furniture, it looks like it's time to made repair the rooms.

Two nights in Tallinn for business purposes. The hotel is centrally located, just outside the line of old walls circling the old town. Modern building build in 1972 to host the Finnish tourists when the Russia was still occupying the country. Nice and spacious room, well cleaned. Minibar and ironing board available. Wi-Fi available in the room and in the lobby. Pantagruelian (buffet) breakfast; both English and Continental. Concierges very helpful in giving information about the city the public transport. They called a colleague to provide me an electrical adaptor for my strange plug because they were out of stock. Wide bathroom with shower. Only negative point was the bed; rally too soft. I was sinking in it and I had a pain in my back the morning. If you are not used, better to ask for an hard one. You can reach the shopping mall Viru without going out. few restaurant and café accessible without facing up the Baltic winter.

Great location and nice view from the top floor are the only advantages of the hotel. Obviously, the hotel could not cope with the tourist trafic. Therefore, room was not clean enough. Nobody picks up the phone while calling from the room to the reception. I've asked for slippers for me and my spouse since the room floor was not clean, staff could finв barely one pair. Poor choice of food for the breakfast. The restaurant during the breakfast is such a mess. The hotel lacks renovation and quality housekeeping. There are better hotels in the city center for the same price.

Excellent location - next to the old town. Large breakfast buffet. Good WiFi connection. quick check-in, check-out. The hotel was fully booked, therefore breakfast room, reception area and elevators were crowded. Suitable for city trip.

The only good thing is location near city centre. Room was not cleaned properly, service was very poor and hotel staff was not professional: were not able to provide good assistance in any questions, mixed rooms, charged extra fee by their mistake. Do not recommend hotel to those who prefer comfort and good service.
