We reserved a One Bedroom Hideaway Balcony Suite Deluxe with a king bed, which on the Veriu website as well as on Orbitz shows a spacious living room layout with a table for four and a separate kitchen area with a passthrough space into the dining area. What we were given when checked in was two cramped hallways, one with a tiny couch butted up to a sink and microwave with a tiny table and a dirty bench seating area, and a cramped bedroom. The balcony directly faced a taller apartment building that was going under construction so it was extremely noisy and the bed was a queen. We went down to reception and was told that all the beds are kings (which they clearly weren't, as we measured) and that all the rooms were different so the images weren't always accurate. We were moved to a different One Bedroom Hideaway Balcony Suite Deluxe and it had the exact same layout as the one we were in previously but the bed was a king (as we measured it and it was clearly larger than the previous room), although the receptionist kept saying that they were all the same size. The balcony was quieter but overall very disappointed with the communication and reality of the accommodations and cleanliness and wouldn't recommend.

Very nice and typical Australia style hotel. Just ready from full renovation, all is brand new. Very nice, lot of space and in a very good location to visit and explore SYDNEY.

Lovely hotel with a kitchenette and fridge and espresso machine. It's close to Chinatown and the harbor and is very walkable. Central station is about 10-15 minutes walk also. Great location

Nice new modern and central to everything... would definitely recommend this hotel...

I am highly disappointed to hear about your recent experience with us since it does not match the excellent customer experience that we usually provide. After you spoke to reception about your dissatisfaction with the first room, I understand that you were immediately given a tour of a second room and indicated that you were happy with it. Due to our location in a beautiful heritage building, there are inevitably some differences in the layouts and outlooks of the apartments and I understand that some are not going to be to everybody’s liking since it is entirely subjective. Unfortunately, while I can appreciate the frustration caused by the short term building works across the road, please understand that, since we are centrally located in the city, this is something we do not have any control over. I am, however, very surprised to hear your comments about the bed sizes since all our One Bedroom apartments do have a king bed in them. I appreciate your feedback on this matter and we will be seriously investigating the situation further. I am sincerely sorry that we did not deliver an experience that matched your expectation and hope we get the opportunity to host you again and show you the outstanding guest experience that we strive for our guests to receive. If you would like to discuss any of the issues you have raised in more detail, please do not hesitate to contact me directly.
