Spent 4 nights here recently and found the hotel to be in a great location, staff were excellent and so accommodating and courteous. Breakfast had a wide range from which to choose but the scrambled eggs were on the cool side which is always a problem in hotel restaurants. However, the pastries and other foods were delicious. The king room was large and offered great views over the water (3rd floor), bathroom was large too. Bed was very comfy. I did notice tiles on the bottom row in the shower looked to have some mould on them. Apart from that we had a very pleasant stay and would stay again.
Great location & Champagne on arrival is special! Dinner in The Gantry was exceptional as was the service & knowledge of staff about menu. Caravan outside for snacks is quirky & good food. Checkout was easy plus chocolate dipped strawberries on leaving❤️
Booked two nights to see Sydney Vivid. Wasn't disappointed everything about the experience was great. Kerrigan food truck was amazing, food was great and a lot better priced than the food trucks around the harbour. Great time from arrival receiving a glass of bubbles.
Check every detail on your bill. Price gauging in play. While we had a fantastic 60th birthday in the Bridge Room, essentially we organised it and the hotel provided the real estate and the "food". We decked it out we booked the bands and the infrastructure to be in place. But despite this we were continually surprised by the hotel's attempt at price gauging. The food provided was an embarrassment for my guests. One example was the alleged paella which was some gluggy rice that stuck to your gums and teeth but with total perseverance I found a prawn after the third attempt. Next time I'll bring an electron microscope to check out any material that should be in the "dish" The GM "kindly" paid back money for rooms I never booked with no contract in place and seemed to expect me to thank her over her "generosity" in returning monies gauged from me. The room with stains on the carpet was 1K apparently because the mini bar was part of the deal. This hotel is a price gauger. Buyer be ware. Check every detail on your bill. The fantastic night was still great (which we organised ourselves) and will not be wrecked by the incompetence of the management of the hotel who were arrogant and obstructive and failed to provide details of he accounts.
Stayed the 1 night last minute booking. Check in was 3pm but they let us park the car and access the room at 11am when it was ready! Great staff who were very helpful and lovely and location was amazing we will stay again.
Fantastic friendly staff who knew exactly what standard of service & high level of performance was required from the outset of my check in point - well done team Pier One. Great bar and food scene too - nice place to relax with a drink of choice.
Lovely stay with the most attentive staff. Champagne on arrival with wonderful rooms with even better views. Proximity to the rocks and Walsh bay was fantastic. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back again!
Love this hotel on the water under the Sydney Harbour Bridge and just far enough away from the crowds, to regenerate after a big day and instil a feeling of peace and harmony with the magnificent views. It was during Vivid so we paid a premium on the rooms and we understood that but it was perfect for being central to our needs for walking around the Quay and taking night time photos of the city all lit up. Breakfast was amazing for the $27. We had the Continental with a variety of fruits, cereals and home made mueslis and granolas, a variety of breads, croissants and pastries. Barista coffee was available for an extra charge, but yes, truly worth it. All you could eat really. There was a massive hot, cooked breakfast available if you were that way inspired. Our room was clean light and airy, good bathroom, big rainwater shower. The only thing I didn't like was selection available from the food truck parked on the public concourse. The food truck is a step up from the last time we stayed but still missing it for me. It's a great idea but limited in what you can buy; hamburgers, soft tacos with pulled meat and a salsa dressing. Would like to see a range of tapas, small selections, something a bit more than the typical Oz array of food and not so messy to eat.
We stayed her for 6 nights. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Although we didn't have a "water front" view, the bridge was right outside our window and we were able to see much of the harbour too. All of the staff were very friendly and made a point of greeting you as they walked by. The hotel is ideally situated, for many of Sydney's tourist attractions are within walking distance and, as you are on the water front the terrain is level - unlike much of the rest of Sydney. We are in our early 60s and I felt, generally, the hotel attracted a somewhat younger clientele. Nevertheless it is in a great location for visiting Sydney, or as an overnight before taking a cruise that starts in Sydney.
Stayed here for work and is located right under the bridge. For views it's beautiful and the hotel itself looks like a warehouse conversion, I loved the decor although the room was a little squishy, with the end of the bed nearly right up against the opposite wall. Service was great, everyone I spoke to was extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast however was not explained clearly and it was very expensive for continental, it seemed cheaper to order room service so double check when you check in. Overall it's a modern hotel in the perfect spot with a great bar and restaurant looking over the water, I would recommend.
