Booked the family room with 3 friends to try and stay relatively close to Sydney centre. The room was a lot smaller than expected and the bathroom light didn't work but the room was clean and the fridge came in handy to cool our beers down. The check in staff were really helpful but we were disappointed to find the parking had increased from 15$ a night to 20$. 4 people trying to get ready for new years eve was a struggle in the room we had. They had free wifi but it didnt work for us the entire time we were there. It's a good place to stay if you're attending an event at the Olympic park but if you intend to use it as your base for exploring Sydney id recommend staying elsewhere. You'll get a lot more for your money in Parramatta and the transport links are just as easy, if not easier.
My daughter and I stayed at this hotel for the Muse concert and whilst it is truly a budget hotel we were impressed by the helpfulness and friendliness of the 2 young fellows on reception. The room was small, but clean and had plenty of fresh, white towels for our showers and hands. The hallway carpet is pretty old and worn and could do with a replacement, but that really is just a trivial criticism which did not affect our actual stay or purpose for staying (getting some sleep for a long drive home after a big night). We were given a map to our concert venue, which was a few minutes walk down the road. We would definitely stay again. In fact, in March 2018 we will be staying again for another concert at Qudos Arena. Thanks
Simple hotel but the room was clean and quiet and comfortable. The staff were polite and provided helpful information such the best way into the city. Perfect location for people attending concerts at the stadium.
Basically, you get what you pay for. The rooms are tiny but are clean & neat. The proximity to the Olympic Park venues is great, however if it is a weekend & night events are being hosted at the park this hotel can be very noisy throughout the night with guests arriving at late hours. Staff are helpful, parking in the hotel undercover carpark is limited, however the adjacent outdoor car park is OK.
This location is ideal when attending events at Qudos Bank Arena, ANZ Stadium or Olympic Park. Value for money is relatively fair but room size is dismal, you can barely room. However, the bed was amazingly comfortable. A lot of the positives outweigh the negatives but not having a door to the bathroom is questionable. I suggest informing guests of how to actually turn the power on as well, we were very much left to figure everything out for ourselves.
We weren't expecting a 5 star room, but were no impressed with the numerous toe nail clippings on the floor next to the bed! Made us wonder just how well the rooms are cleaned/sanitised after each guest. Parking was easy, staff were friendly & efficient but I question the $400 per night price tag. Not worth it in my view.
Stayed here for an event on a saturday night and the price was almost $300. The hotel was very full with some sort of kids athletics event on as well. Overall we enjoyed our stay, staff were friendly and helpful and we slept very well. We arrived early to check in at 12pm as the hotel site says you can from this time (but hotel info sheet in room said 2pm). The room was as expected (basic) for a budget hotel but the price was excessive due to special events on in the area. Bed was really comfortable! The bed was right next to the shower (which had a broken section of glass on the door) and no "bathroom" that you could close, just a curtain to section it off. Had stayed in something similar in New York. No toiletries, just some small soaps. I always have my own so it didn't bother me but for the price (almost $300), they should be included. There was a vending machine near the lifts with shampoo, razors, batteries, cables etc. Another downstairs with drinks, food and ice creams. Due to the hotel being busy, there was a wait for lifts about half the time and no stairs (fire stairs only open one way). Breakfast was great for $9, good selection of pancakes, toast, cereals, tea, coffee and juices. Window couldn't be opened but had the perfect blockout blind for a bit of a sleep in. We had to have the air conditioner on for circulation as it got a bit stuffy and it sounded like the room above us had the shower on all night like pipes creaking but it was just the air con. We always carry earplugs in case of these kind of issues so we slept like logs but if you dont have earplugs it could be irritating. Parking is a bit of an issue as there are very limited spaces ($15) that cant be reserved so if you miss out, you have to park on the other side of the hotel for $25. We managed to get a space despite the parking full sign. Would stay here again if something else was on nearby.
Its budget so didn't expect much. Rooms are the standard ibis budget style - double with bunk that fits a family or group. Not much space to hang around in the room - its very tight for space. Location is the main attraction.
We stayed at Olympic Park instead of driving and parking in downtown Sydney. The hotel is basic, but staff are friendly and the bed was super comfortable. The hotel has parking for $15 per day, but sometimes is full and Wilson parking is $25 per day. Easy access to the train station for visits into the city. Olympic park is a very quiet location.
It’s budget. Rooms are tiny and no door to shower. BUT five star rating for having ice cream vending machines with $2 paddle pops 😊 plus easy access to arenas, cafes and fast food 5 mins walk away plus one downstairs that was pretty good too. Bed was comfy but no spare pillows or towels which would be better.
