Great location, very close to the beach, shops, restaurants, coffee shops. Friendly, efficient staff. Clean, spacious rooms, reasonably priced, especially compared to Sydney centre hotels. Feels a bit like a resort!

Once again I returned to the Sands, with my view overlooking the ocean; I would never compromise be in sunshine or rain. The suites are large have little balconies and are clean and neat The staff on reception are very helpful although not being recognized as a returning guest of plus 15 years was disappointing. The hotel is close to bus transport into city, little cafes, food shops etc Hightly recommended, always in my heart

I was thoroughly impressed with this hotel. It is situated in a gorgeous location by Coogee Beach, has well appointed rooms, parking available, and wonderful staff. I drove from Canberra to Sydney for a conference, and was able to park my car in their secure parking, for free. Whilst it's not guaranteed that you'll get a space, it's a great option. There's also government parking 10 metres out front, so if you miss out you can park there. It's only circa $8 a day, so reasonably priced. I'm not too sure why a reviewer said they had to park 2km away! The rooms are huge, and really more like mini apartments. They have a king bed, and an area with a lounge (plenty of room to stretch, do yoga, a mini workout etc). There's a kitchen with plates, crockery, a fridge etc. Also decent cupboard and drawer space. In addition to the rooms, there's a rooftop entertainment area with spectacular views. i had a minor issue with wifi, there's a surcharge to access in the rooms, but I was not aware of this and they fixed me up without any hassles. such wonderful, pleasant staff. I will be staying here again.

Fabulous location. I enjoyed walking along the beach and across to cliff walk with some out standing views. The Hotel is convenient close to some lovely cafes. A small hotel that has been well maintained. The room was spotless nice self contained Kitchen. No views of the beach however there are some if you pay extra. I had a lovely private courtyard with some lovely out door furniture. I would imagine this Hotel is extremely popular during the summer months.

Very clean and quiet studio room. Parking onsite. No views, unless you book one of the more expensive rooms facing the beach and street, in which case I couldn't comment on the quietness. The location couldn't be bettered, and the checkin staff were very helpful and polite.

All nice and tide, there was a problem with my booking and although not there fault, went out of they way to fix things for me and make the stay nice and pleasant. Parking was a bit of an issue but again the staff fix it for me. I would stay again.

Stayed for 3 nights , great location in Coogee, I had a standard room which was good in size and had a comfortable bed , bathroom good size as well with a decent shower, no view in this room, but they are available if you pay extra, right next door to the pavilion hotel, I will definitely stay again.

Love staying at this motel, we have been here a few times and will definitely be back, great location, just a few steps to the beach and local restaurants and great service, staff very friendly and helpful

My partner and I were booked into this hotel for five days recently. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable, and the location in Coogee was great for accessing public transport for sightseeing in Sydney and beyond. When we had issues that we needed help with, the reception staff were excellent, sorting things out rapidly and efficiently. In fact, they're a remarkably friendly and professional bunch, without the overbearing, cloying and formulaic approach I've experienced too much elsewhere. I've worked most of my life in customer-facing environments - this is how to do customer service.

If you are looking for a hotel close to the beach, this is the one! Me, my husband and my 5 year-old daughter stayed at Coogee Sands for 20 days. There was a queen bed and a sofa-bed for my daughter. The room were clean and tidy. There is a small kitchen facilities which includes a microwave. It is steps from the Coogee beach and the Coogee Pavillion (where you can have good food!). There is no breakfast included,
