Location was great. Restaurants and beach right out the front. No busy roads out the front. Room needed maintenance. Bathroom wasn’t the cleanest. Fold out bed was so uncomfortable. Main bed mattress was lumpy. Didn’t sleep well at all. No fly screen on the window was quite dangerous especially on the 5th floor. I wouldn’t stay here again.
Stayed here for 2 nights with my daughter. We found the front desk staff to be really helpful and friendly. Our room was modern, clean and had adequate kitchen facilities. The beds were comfortable, the shower was good, both things which are pretty important to me! Location, as everyone says, is fantastic! Beach, shops, restaurants, bus stops all within a stone's throw. We didn't experience any of the noise from next door that others have mentioned. We didn't have a balcony, just a window, but I knew this in advance. Okay there wasn't a view but who wants to spend their holiday in their room looking out anyway! Walk outside the door and the beach is on your doorstep! My only negative was the wifi which was unreliable. There was also a charge of $6 once you had used a certain amount - I stayed in around 8 hotels during my recent trip and this was the only one that charged.
The hotel in their advertisements actually sounded like a real find. In our case we didn’t luck out with the view, we looked onto a brick wall, looked down onto some ordinary green shrubs, don’t recall being able to see anything other than an apartment on 1 side. We were dead tired from our flight so after doing some shopping & a brief walkabout our goal was sleep. Had we landed here into our trip I would not have been very pleased. We never did figure how to turn the lights on & mentioned it on checkout. The front desk said it should have been activated with our entrance card, again it didn’t really matter. We could have had this attended to earlier. Our oom was dated but adequate, linens & bed comfortable & as mentioned earlier an absolutely a horrid view. It is not a particularly attractive area but we may have felt differently being rested & having a sunshine day. Parking is free which is a positive. Grocery stores walkable distance, small ocean beach close by, Pavillion restaurant there, bus-stop quite close, Bondi beach not far away.
website advertises park, fly&stay deal . but when tried to book was told they cant do it in summer , O.K. as I was looking to book in the middle of winter? still I was refused the advertised deal. I asked if I could speak with manager ? which was also not possible? suggested they stop falsely advertising & remove deal from site , but its still there 3 months later..its still advertised.. iv never given a bad review in my life before ,but as a long time patron of this motel its clear new management just don't care , or believe in return business. fair trade will be notified about this dodgy advertising.PULL IT DOWN or honour what you advertise
Stayed for 2 nights. The best part of this hotel is the location, right next to the beach. There are tons of eateries around, so plenty to explore. The beach itself is a great place to hangout, complimented by a beautiful garden that's adjacent to the beach. There is also a high decibel bar/disc next door offering excellent option for youngsters. The hotel itself is not a bad deal, the amenities are basic but has all the essentials needed. The property is well maintained though it does look slightly worn out from the inside. This place is great for family and couples. The ambience is very lively. However if you are a peace loving person, this place may disappoint you because of the noisy vicinity. The only challenge with this property is the parking which is availability basis - it's not the best experience if you check-in and then asked to find your own parking (in case the hotel parking is full)
Stayed at this Hotel in March for a Birthday celebration. What a wonderful location with beautiful beach views and the best staff. Was given upgrades, breakfast and complimentary champagne and chocolates just to mention some of the highlights! Thoroughly recommend staying here. Right next door to the Coogee Pavillion which was also lovely to hang out in and eat. The beach is just 30 m away from the Hotel. The room is also very nice with a small kitchenette. Best stay and highly recommend
We stayed here for 4 days, 2 adults and 2 children 9 and 11 years old. The staff were all fantastic, friendly and helpful at all times. The apartments are in a great location just off the beach and a minutes walk from the shops. We stayed in a 1 room apartment which was fine as a base, though not a lot of space for 4 people - the boys had to share a bed settee, I wouldn’t do this again as they are didn’t have a lot of space, though our fault for not booking a bigger apartment!
Pleasant stay at this perfectly placed apartment hotel in the eastern suburbs of Sydney. Great location, plenty of restaurants and eateries close by, a gym close by, the beach, park and some pubs with live entertainment. Close enough to the city to get some work done, far enough away to relax and wind down. Apartments are not 5 star but very comfortable, clean & spacious. No hesitation in staying here again.
A great location, beach is beautiful and right out front door. Rooms are fairly large, nothing totally special but no issues. Staff very friendly and helpful (make sure ask directions to Annie's, amazing food).
Whenever I go to Sydney, I always stay at the Coogee Sands. It's perfectly located up the north end of Coogee Beach. I always book a room in the front, with a view of the beach and the water. Those rooms are more expensive, but worth it. There are cafes and restaurants right outside, and its only a short walk to the main Coogee shops. I have friends who live nearby, and they say Coogee is becoming overcrowded. But I haven't noticed that, and I grew up near here. I still think it's a great place to stay when in Sydney, and the busses into town or to the rail head in Bondi Junction are right near the door. The one small quibble I have is the wifi, which you have to pay for. Overseas, wifi is now almost universally free. But Australia is way behind the times in this regard, and they still gauge you $20 for a service which is basically free everywhere else. However lots of hotels in Australia do the same, so I', not really grumbling about this. And it's free in the lobby. The staff are good. The rooms are cleasn. The views are fabulous from the front. It's a lovely place to stay.
