Good location for proximity to the airport and nearby restaurants in Mascot village. Small clean rooms, friendly staff, very limited breakfast choices, but at least there’s a barista on duty for decent coffee. Too bad there are only paper cups offered. Unfortunately the barista was the only staff in the breakfast room and trying to do everything at once. The Expedia description of “restaurant with local cuisine” is not accurate - there are simply some pre-packaged grab & go items and a microwave available in a very nice top floor area with a great view, where guests can bring their own take-out food and eat it with a drink from the bar. The wifi was out for our entire 2 day stay, for which we were compensated a free drink (which worked out to about what we paid to buy an eSIM to use during our stay). Rooms are serviced “on request”, which from a practical standpoint means that coffee/tea is only refilled and garbage emptied every third day. The hotel makes an effort with cute decor in the communal areas, but overall it has minimal amenities for a full-feature price. The vibe was that of an upscale European hostel. While it was certainly okay as a 2 night stay, we’ll choose somewhere else the next time we’re transiting through Sydney
