We decided to stay here as we were travelling around Australia and was trying to keep our hotel costs down. The hotel needed to be updated as it was lost in the 1970s, the decor was too dark and contemporary at all. Curtains were hanging off the rails and when we reported it to the front desk, instead of asking housekeeping to fix it, they expected us to do it! There was no shower gel provided as apparently they are only provided to the higher spec rooms. Our travel adaptors didn't work in Australia as they have a 3 pin plug but the front desk had plenty to give out (and take 20 Aus dollars as security). The location is not central to the sights in Sydney as we had to use taxis to get to the centre for our tours. Plenty of places for breakfast opposite the hotel or within 5mins walk. Have dinner in "The Rocks" area as it is full of atmosphere. We used the hotel just as a base.

Free Wi-Fi, which is a must for researching trips and how to get there. Staff very helpful. Bought an Opal Card to get round on buses and ferries, with bus stops very close to the hotel. Nice cafes nearby and bar next door gives discount to hotel guests. Rooms a bit small but adequate and had everything we needed.

I spent ages on TripAdvisor searching for a bed for five nights that would be comfortable but not break the bank. This place was perfect as I could choose to walk to the city for my conference or get the bus at the door. Felt most welcome on arrival and given a quiet room ( rooms 11-17 on each floor) gorgeous courtyard with a pool. Bed comfortable and room and ensuite very clean. Hotel next door served home style delicious meals and cafes nearby for breakfast. Would stay here again.

Stayed for 2 nights. comfortable room. Clean. Staff was pretty helpfull and had loner stuff for thosr of us who were to dumb to remember that every County other than the US uses a different plug. The only real negative i have was they diddnt tell you about the amenities during check in they just assumed you looked them up online and knew what they had.

The location was great for us as we needed to attend 2 functions over 2 days. One in centennial park and the other at Paddington town hall. The pub next door was handy and had good meals. We had Garden rooms and I was surprised how quiet they were considering Oxford st is so close. The garden rooms have been renovated recently and are very stylish. While the room is a good size the bathroom is compact but nicely fitted out.

I love this hotel. Perfect for games at the SCG. Central location on Oxford Street. Limited parking in the building but carpark at the hospital a short walk away. Pleasant staff, reasonable prices, clean, free wi-fi. The rooms are small but adequate in space. Includes a safe, tea and coffee making facilities, double bed, table and chair, separate chair, lift in building but with a few additional stairs. I have been coming here for years and am sure I will for years to come. Recommended!

A cute little hotel down the quieter end of Oxford St. Easy 5 min walk to St Vincents hospital. The garden room overlooked the courtyard garden and pool. Would be a great hotel in summer time. The staff were fantastic. Friendly and always smiling. Mark went above and beyond and made our stay effortless and was very flexible with the length of our stay which was determined by operations schedules at St Vincents. So thank you Mark for your understanding and friendly approach.

Simple no-nonsense accommodation in an excellent location. Surrounded by trendy coffee shops with easy access to public transport. If you're looking for good value accommodation providing easy access to Sydney's highlights this is the place!

I had to go to St Vincents Hospital for an appointment so decided to stay at the Arts Hotel for convenience. The hotel was basic with a small simple lobby, an old lift and the rooms were basic but clean. My room fronted on to Oxford St so was noisy until about 10.00pm.

When it's not a holiday, you appreciate a smooth run. Opposite St Vincent's Hospital, lots of us out of towners stay here wondering when meals, laundry, etc 😂 will be back to normal! The staff ensure no complications with details. Even while having renos, they were able to assist with late arrivals, car parking, meals. The rooms are clean, spare and comfortable - ensuring that I don't lose all those little bits of junk that seem to be needed on such trips.
