We enjoyed a great stay. The location was excellent for the area we were.
This was a perfect place to stay for our week in Sydney. The staff was great and it's in a perfect location. The amenities are new and clean. The only issue I had was the internet--you had to pay extra and even after paying the extra money, you're only allowed to connect two devices--and not two devices at a time but two devices total. This was disappointing since with two people we had two phones, a computer, and a kindle. So, after paying $150, we could only connect two of those devices for the entire trip. That being said, I would stay here again.
The staffs in the hotel are friendly and the location iis very good. You can find everything nearby but rather bit expensive. No complain to make except no free "Wify Service" for whole day in the hotel..
Very large and well located room. I could explore all of Sydney from this hotel. It was great to stay here in the middle of my two week travels as I was able to do laundry in the apartment. The fitness room was small but adequate. I wished the room had been ready prior to the 2 pm check-in because I had gotten caught in a down pour and was soaking wet at 10 am. The woman at the check-in desk had no sympathy for this unfortunately. Also, the check-out time of 10 am is a bit too early in my opinion. Tip: just around the corner on Kent Street is a lovely Italian cafe called Amici Cafe. They have amazing coffee and pastries. The staff is super friendly and there is free Wi-Fi which was lacking at the hotel.
The location is good, the staff appears to be friendly but I had a bad experience. When I arrived my credit card was denied so I asked the manager to please call the collect number to verufy that it was me using it (sometimes I have to do that when I go oversee). He refused and asked me for another credit card. My sister gave him hers. However, I spent the all first day trying to call the Capital One CC unsuccessfully. In Sidney the pay phone does not allow you to place a call. The cell phone also didn't work, so after using all our cash we had to go back to the hotel. At which time I decided to make that phone call from my room. I did the problem was fixed; but at the end of my stay I was given a bill for $13.oo just for the connection. I will not use that hotel again.
The location of our room was excellent. We had a harbor view. The staff was very friendly. However, there were a few things in need of repair in the room. There were sliding doors closing off the sleeping area. The main door was off the runner and would not close. We reported this to the staff and were told someone would be by to fix the issue. No one ever fixed the door in our 10 day stay. Also, the shower flooded the bathroom when showering and had mildew stains, not something you expect to see in a hotel advertized as high end. They advertise a gym, however the machines are in disrepair. The one cable machine didn't work, the free weights are limited, and the cardio equipment was so old. We found a gym close by and bought a 10 visit pass so we could work out while there. All in all, I would stay there again despite the updating needed.
Excellent location near Darling Harbor. Walkable distance to all the attractions. The room was spacious and had all the amenities needed in an apartment. The couches in the apt looked old and needed some refurbishment. Would certainly recommend it for anyone staying near Darling Harbor.
At the Medina Grand Harbourside, you're less than a 5 min. walk from the Darling Harbour! You're right next to all the attractions (Aquarium/Wildlife) and the rooms are wonderful!
