I stayed for one night with friends and the hotel was everything I needed. It was clean and comfortable with friendly staff. The breakfast was a good buffet style and with a 12 o'clock check out I got a lie in. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the town centre and the bus station.
Have just returned from a one night stay at The Jurys Inn Swindon. Very Nice Hotel, close to Theatre Square. They have their own parking £6 for overnight parking, didn't feel this was bad for secure parking. Only stayed briefly so not sure how close to the town this hotel is. They have lifts up to the rooms, alot of floors but nothing to say anywhere what floor your room is on!! had to guess!! Rooms are very nice, mine was immaculately tidy, good sized, very comfortable beds, well stocked tea and coffee tray, iron & board and hairdryer. Bar and restaurant area was very nice and although I thought £12 was expensive for breakfast the variety of food on offer was excellent and re-filled as soon as it had run out. I also liked the fact that the bar with bar food is open over night!! Very nice outside area too. The staff we came in contact with were lovely and very helpful. The only negatives I could say is that the hot breakfasts we had were luke warm and you have to keep going up and down to the breakfast bar as trays don't seem readily available bit of a pain when you are getting breakfast for three people!! Around by my toilet smelt strongly of wee it was quite strong and you could see had not been cleaned properly although the rest of the bathroom was really clean Despite the above I would go back as only minor problems!!
lovely staff during check in, lovely room and good location. helpful staff, ready to assist. friendly atmosphere. clean surrounding. location close to amenities. easily accessible. will go back at any time.
Stayed one night and the meal given was more cold than warm. The person serving dinner had, I believe, no finesse and she "dumped" the food on the plates. Did not receive a polite word from any staff member. The man in the dining area when we complained about the food and its coldness offered what to me was a "bribe", a drink from the bar. Breakfast was not much better in terms of heat of the food given the previous night. The room stayed in was at the front of the hotel and I found it extremely noisy with the traffic passing by and stopping at the traffic lights. The bedroom, however, was very clean.
The hotel is an easy walk from the train station. Breakfast was our only meal here and it's fine. It can get crowded when a tour group is in, but the food is tasty. The room was an ok size and was clean and even though it was near the elevator, the room was quiet. The staff were friendly. I'd stay here again.
We stayed at this hotel on a coach trip with Just Go Holidays en route to travel on the Flying Scotsman, It was clean & the room was clean & spacious, however the en suite was a little cramped. The evening meal was very poor & lacked taste, the vegetable (or should i say leftover liquidized leftovers from previous days) was not very nice, the so called cream sauce for the chicken meal was very watery & the lemon syllabub had no any lemon flavor. The breakfast was very good though. I do think tht the way the cutlery was put out for guests to use at breakfast was very unhygienic
Well situated in the town and close to amenities. Our room was located on the 5th floor and was very clean and quiet, well maintained and with a view over the countryside (after the car park). Staff very pleasant and helpful to our group who were all able to check in without any problems. There were a couple of issues with rooms close to the lifts but it seems these were overcome with earplugs and can of course happen anywhere I guess. The restaurant was clean and the meals (breakfast and dinner) were to a good standard with our first breakfast being very good. Our stay was over a weekend and the hotel was busy but this did not seem to detract from the service. Compared to some of the National type hotels our group have stayed in over the years this one appears to be one of the best so well done.
This is a well-located standard chain hotel. Nice breakfast buffet, free wifi, friendly staff, clean and comfortable enough rooms. If you have to stay in Swindon for some reason, then this is as good as anywhere else to end up.
Was on coach trip (national) and this hotel was used. I upgraded to executive room as it was my husbands 65th birthday and I was very impressed room was nice we were at the back as it was quieter. All the staff we came across were extremely welcoming and very efficent we wouldn't hesitate to return. Hotel is in very good location and all meals very nice. Well done jurys !!!!!
The parking was a bit of a problem getting into the property, otherwise it was a pleasant stay. It was a good breakfast with many choices. I would certainly stay there again and recommend it to friends.
