Loved staying here. Staff friendly and helpful and all facilities second to none. Not too accessible for town centre - had to have taxis but on saying that, the position of the hotel was very pleasant and quiet

Me and boyfriend spent 1 night here for a night away. We had an executive room and we had such a lovely stay! Room was lovely and clean, spacious. Bed were amazing and super comfy. WiFi at the hotel very good too. Loved the extra bits in the room such as the speaker! We had breakfast here too and that was delicious and had so much choice. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Free parking here too which is very handy! Would definitely stay at a holiday inn again.

Standard hotel with good clean rooms and amenities. Good for a night stop. Breakfast standard with full English and coffee machine. Must admit not a fan of the coffee out of it. Certain items cooked fresh on request. But credits go to Nina, receptionist on training. A welcoming friendly face with a great smile! Recognised our company requirements for the bill and didn’t hesitate to call in reinforcements. Her supervisor explained to her what to do in a very calm and instructional manner without any more delay for check out. Good job ladies! Rest of staff friendly and helpful.

These guys are scumbags. My partner was helping me load my car in the carpark for 43 minutes and they charged him £100 parking fine. The manager ben is an arrogant bad man. He told us the hotel get half of the money from the parking tickets. The hotel is falling apart and disgusting. I then got a £10 extra money for calling the hotel on my phone bill. Thanks Holiday Inn-no life for me this month being -£110. Actual thieves. I will never go to a holiday inn again.

I visited here with some friends on a Friday night, for a one night stay and some dinner. We were told upon arrival that the pool and sauna area were unavailable as they were having their annual clean. If this was pencilled in on this weekend, I would expect the hotel to inform guests, that were booked in on these dates, that some of the facilities would be unavailable. We later had dinner in the restaurant. I had a chicken and bacon burger meal. A friend had the fish and chips and complained as it was awful and rubbery. Within 48 hours, by Sunday night, I was horrendously ill. It has since been confirmed that I had been given food poisoning, the strain most commonly found in chicken and poultry. I did not eat any other meat or eat out at any other establishment that weekend. I had two weeks signed off work and have never been so ill. A friend of mine who had the same meal as me at the hotel was also sick and had two days of vomiting. I am writing this review as I want to spare others the awful situation I found myself in. I will, obviously, not be returning here and neither will the rest of our group.

2nd time I've stayed at this hotel. The staff are great. Friendly and helpful. The leisure facilities are excellent and the rooms big and comfortable. Very close to a huge Tesco if you're in need of supplies!

We called into this conveniently placed hotel (just off the A3) at 10.00 pm one evening as a party of four after a visit to a theatre performance at University of Surrey. We required a quick drink and a chat in a quiet place before we went our separate ways . We did not notice parking notices because it was dark. Our bill came to £17 and 40 minutes later we were on our way. A couple of weeks later I received a parking fine of £60 to £100. It was a long drawn out process over several weeks with the appeal and I did not use the 'premium rate' telephone lines. 'As parking charge notices are issued by ParkingEye car park solutions, we cannot overturn or cancel the notice you have been sent' The hotel eventually produced the evidence to show our drinks bill and indeed the fine was cancelled but the hotel was neither apologetic or particularly sympathetic to legitimate customers.

OK Louis. You are the star performer here so a vote of thanks to Louis who opened the bar late at night. I went to the desk on four occasions. On each occasion I waited for a long time and on only one occasion the person in front of me was not complaining. The corridors still smelt of old cigarette smoke which many years after the smoking ban is a disappointment. My room was very basic and if it was not £250 a night I might not have thought badly of it. But the carpets were tired (I did not want to go bear feet) and every corner was chipped and dilapidated. The breakfast service was poor and I could not find a table or seat. A very poor hotel and everyone seemed unhappy with it. One guest in front of me was upset that the swimming pool was not open. I did not require it but it is a fault that a hotel still charge for that when it is not available. If I had wanted to swim I would have not made the booking if no pool was available.

Likes: + Friendly check-in process + Nice room + Pool, Spa and Gym + Short-taxi ride to city-centre & train station + Supermarket nearby + Tea & coffee making equipment + Comfortable bed Dislikes: - Air-con did not work - room was freezing and I could not get the temperature up - Pool and spa closed for refurbishment

Had a pleasant stay at holiday inn situated easily in Guildford outskirts. Room comfy and a bottle of prosecco in room . Would use base again to explore Guildford. Receptionist very helpful with telling us about a local walk to Guildford through the grounds of the university which we did. And thoroughly enjoyed walk despite it being very warm . One drawback the swimming pool and spa were closed for maintenance till the 25 April. Very disappointed with this but local walk made up for it.
