We stayed at this apartment resort for nine nights. The location is the best feature, very handy for all the cafe bars and beach front. With free parking which is a bonus. We stayed in a one bedroom resort view apartment on the second floor. The apartment is small but well laid out with a large balcony for outdoor space. The bed was very comfortable. Bathroom with a shower and a shub with also shower. Our room was serviced after four nights which was very good. Overall we would stay here again but maybe in an apartment with a sea view. There is no free wifi in the apartment but all outside the resort is free wifi. We did not use the pool or spa area on top floor, but facilities look good.
Booked room through a well known on-line travel company and paid extra for "beach side". Upon late check in (which was a good process) looked out the balcony an saw a lovely view of another building and tennis court. Following morning. went to complete the full check in and commented to the reception guy that, really that's what you call beach side! I showed my print out from said online company that gave No additional verbiage about specific location other than "beach side". Shame on me for not realizing that "beach side" could mean a very loose geographic location of the balcony and at a 45 degree angle you are technically beach side, all be it 150m (approximate measurement) from said beach and with neighboring hotel in between. I suggest you be more transparent on choice of words or add additional verbiage to clarify exact location of rooms. Otherwise, stay was as expected, thank you.
we booked in on 15/10 ans arrived @18.10 hrs waited forever for response to gain after hrs access after telephoning ahead.we stayed in studio room(not very spacious) for five days this room overlooked the pool(which the landscaping is in need of some very serious upgrade) but enjoyed the daily visits from the green cockatiels.we then moved to a one bedroom ocean apartment overlooking the beach this room was recently renovated and very comfortable for our stay with exception the T.V is in need of an upgrade, also the gym is in dire straights and in need of an urgent upgrade rusted and antiquated. The staff were great as was the location happy holidays we stayed until the 29/10 and like all good holidays it came to an end
Toilet floor had urinf drops on it. Shower floor not clean. Forced out of room for four hours due to maintenance issues (no water). Shower water temperature was unpredictable. At times it became so hot it would have burned a Baby or small child. ( and this was after the hot water system had been replaced). Asked if we could leave car in car park for extra couple of hours after checke out and was to,d no because they needed to make space for infoming fuests. This was despite the above issues we faced, plus the complex was NO WHERE near full and we would have been out before the check in time anyway. Definitely would not recommend!
We booked at another date and were told that we couldn't have that date because it was school holidays, so they booked us in before it. To our surprise it was full of school kids and very hard to get into the pool or spa. We were on the 7th floor overlooking the pool and the screaming and yelling was very loud even up there. The room was smaller than one on a ship. The bathroom toilet had a bad smell and the spa bath did not work. We were looking forward to a peaceful 5 days but ended up going home on the 4th day. Overpriced. The only good thing was it was a great location.
5/10/17 Until 9/10/17 The Reception from the Staff at Check In was Cold and Steely and Very Unwelcoming. Room Size and Value for Money in the Penthouse is a Complete Joke. We were Staying there for Our Wedding and tried getting Photos Done on the Staircase. We were Verbally Attacked by Staff for Doing So. It was Belittling and Embarrassing. The Experience at Check Out wasn’t any better. Very Disappointed and Disgusted.
We generally had a good stay, the room is fine and the view is lovely. I enquired about a late checkout well prior to our last day as our flights home were not till late afternoon. I offered to pay for the privilege of an additional 2 hours. I was told there was function on that following day and it wasn't possible. Which is absolutely fine, I get that and though disappointed, I understood However come day of the checkout, I asked if I could hang on to our hotels beach towels for an extra hour post checkout. Again given the later flight, my two young kids and I wanted to have one more swim, as anyone would on that glorious beach. I offered my credit card, mobile phone and car keys as a bond (my car was able to stay in the hotel carpark for that extra hour, but no more, however I was grateful for that). The lady on the front desk went and checked with the manager re. the towels , who refused this request. The lady on the front desk was apologetic. At this point I was quite annoyed, as there was zero risk to the hotel, and it was a simple opportunity to provide quality hospitality to a first time guest. I then reflected on the refusal for a late checkout and enquired with the lady on the front desk about the upcoming function which prevented a late checkout. She told me there were no functions coming up that day or next. So it seems that Mike, the manager is basically a very inflexible man, who really shouldn't be involved in hospitality. I don't appreciate being lied too, and If I were an owner of one of those units, Id be very annoyed at missing out on the additional revenue I offered for the privilege of a late checkout. The towel refusal was simply unnecessary. We are regular visitors to the Sunshine coast, and were are most definitely never returning to this hotel, there is an abundance of quality places in that location with similar views and prices.
I was pleasantly surprised with the Landmark after we arrived and after i had read some negative reviews on this site. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment with sea views. The decor was modern, not at all dated, the room was very clean and all appliances up to date and working. The location was fantastic and i would highly recommend this based on this. We stayed at the Sirocco resort two years ago and the Landmark was much cleaner, had better facilities and the location was close to Surf club, patrolled beaches and great restaurants/cafes. My one regret is that i discovered the top deck spa on the tenth floor a little too late and didn't get to utilise it as much as i would have liked to. Oh well! next time! The pool area was small and filled with younger families and children which was fine but the spa has roof top views, gorgeous lounges and a very clean and well maintained outdoor eating area with BBQs,if you want to use these. The rooms have fans and there is central air conditioning. My partner and i will definitely be coming again, it's really good value for money and i found that hospitality staff in the Mooloolaba area had a welcoming presence.
This hotel is in a fantastic location however the "resort" really needs a freshen up! Our room had a fantastic view however was not what I would say the cleanest, and smelled like it had been locked up! We actually went and brought room freshener. Shower is hot, bed is okay! Again he location and water views are magic! Went to check out and reception says it opens at 8am, however 8.15am we were still waiting. The lady was almost offended that we were waiting for her to open! Next time we will probably look for something in the same location but a bit more modern.
My 7yo son and I, spent 11 nights here at the Landmark Resort....not one single negative thing to say. Check-in was quick with very helpful and friendly staff. Our 1 bedroom apartment was super cosy, clean and spacious with fantastic front views of the beach (as requested, so thank you). Resort facilities especially the lagoon pool and spa were outstanding....my son and I spent at least 6 hours per day here enjoying the warm, clean and clear water, whilst taking in every bit of sunshine we could possibly. Our "little family holiday of just the 2 of us" here at the Landmark Resort, exceeded my expectations. We came to relax, unwind, do nothing and just have "family time"....that's exactly what we did. Already planning our return trip.
