It's cool staying over the water and the rooms where spacious and clean. The staff where friendly and helpful. However, we had a bird squawking under the eves during the day and when it rained hard the ceiling leaked a little. The food was good but they really could use a convenience store to buy snacks and drinks because you're miles from town.
Nice location and concept. Must be a struggle to maintain in equatorial weather. Would have given better rating if not for the disappointing breakfast - only the flies and magpies thought the food was tasty or authentic.
Overall was good except that they don’t have atm machine on site:(
Issues: 1. Air conditioning is very poor in all of the units. My wife and I had to complain about the air for 3 consecutive days in order for them to transfer us to a room with less than average cooling abilities. 2. The roof was leaking in our villa for 3 days causing the space to be extremely humid and damp. It didn't help that the air wasn't working that well either. 3. The staff did not clean our room for 3 days in a row. The finally cleaned the room on our final night. 4. The hotel refused to compensate us at all and we were told to deal with Orbitz/Expedia directly.
Location perfect, room is clean staffing friendly, except the complementary buffet very below the average fly and cold food even coffee no cream provided beacon was used the sausage and slice instead. I hope it's will be improved better by next year when I stop by again next year.
It's quite far from KL city centre (1.5 hrs) and Maleka(2.5hrs), close to the airport (within 40 mins) There were sands in the bathroom when we checked in and body wash was almost empty. Friendly staff. A variety of restaurants and water sports. Gorgeous views (sunrise, sunset)
