I stayed here for a month on business and could not have picked a better place . The front desk staff was great . I had a very large room with a extra bar and a tv in both the living room and bed room . The breakfast was very large and kept nice and fresh by a very nice lady who made sure everyone was taken care of !!! Not sure about the price company paid . Easy off and on and close to lots of restaurants. I would highly recommend this place .
I've been on one helluva road trip and HIE has disappointed me thus far. Ms. Dorothy at breakfast was really nice to my boys and for the most part the hotel was clean. I liked the high ceilings, which made rooms appear larger. What I did not like was the dusty ceiling fan and the hair on the bed. There was also some stains in front of the door that looked like it could've been cleaned with a wet towel and a good carpet spray. Something about hair in a sink and bed really annoy me because I feel like it's on purpose. If I saw it when I walked in, then you must have seen it while cleaning. No matter how small. None the less, it wasn't as bad the HIE in Arkansas. I'd give them another chance.
Front desk staff was friendly when we arrived and very helpful. Enjoyed the look and feel of the room. Had a great night's sleep. The shower had good pressure and plenty of hot water. Had the usual fare for breakfast but it was sufficient for our needs. The only downside we had at the hotel was an accidental wake-up call but we would have gotten up about then any way. Would recommend to anyone and would stay again.
Too many maintenance issues! I really wanted to rate higher because I liked the staff and the hotel would be great if they fix multiple maintenance issues. They moved me from one room to another but both rooms had problems. In the first room the toilet leaked all over the bathroom floor. The TV didn't work either. The second room was a handicap accessible room and had many inconveniences. In the second room I had to unplug the refrigerator because it constantly made a clicking noise and I couldn't sleep. The main door didn't close correctly and there was a large gap allowing too much light (and minimal privacy)! That also made for trouble sleeping. The bedside lamp didn't work either.
I was very pleased with how clean the room was. The staff was helpful & very nice. The king size bed was very comfortable. We had everything we needed for a great weekend getaway. I love that they have Keurig coffee in the room. We will be back!
Ok hotel right off the highway easy to get to. This hotel is clean and breakfast was good the lady working on breakfast was very friendly. This hotel is an older hotel for sure time to update the rooms but still a clean nice hotel. I had to call back in during the afternoon to have my bill sent to me since the morning person couldn't be bothered after telling me it was sent I checked out around 6am. The person I spoke with in the afternoon was great very helpful and polite. I would stay here again if I was in the area.
We stayed one night on a road trip. The room was very spacious. We also liked the decor. Breakfast was good. We saw a pool outside but did not use because it was winter. The only complaint we had was the staff. They seemed to be preoccupied while we were checking in. Very inattentive checked us in but kept running back and forth to the room behind the front desk. Didn't give us any extra info. Wifi password, tell us our room number, check out time, breakfast time. We had to go back down and ask. When we were ready to leave the following day. Husband went to get a luggage cart. They were all taken, loaded with luggage while the luggage owners were sitting eating breakfast. The guy at the front desk laughed but didn't offer to call our room when when came available. We hauled our luggage ourselves. Overall nice hotel, inattentive staff but good breakfast.
I just stayed for one night after Christmas to decompress and relax. I chose a two-room suite to spoil myself and due to the slow holiday season, the rate was great! I loved the two room suite and I highly recommend due to the spaciousness and the STEAM SHOWER! I hope that I did not make the hotel run low on hot water because I did not want to get out of the shower! Bed was very comfortable! I see other guests commenting about the highway noise. Yes you can hear the interstate, however it's not that bad. I recommend asking for a room on the back side of the hotel if you have bionic hearing. Also, the breakfast was very extensive. They have everything for everyone. Make sure that you go to historic downtown Sulphur Springs. It's a real neat area.
We have stayed here several times. The rooms are really nice. One of the few motels/hotels we have stayed with ceiling fans. Breakfast is good and the breakfast staff is great. The owner of this facility has included some special touches to make it very nice for the price.
We had requested a higher floor for our stay. Up on arrival after 3, we were told none of the higher floor rooms were clean. We could have a room on 2nd floor. We were tired so we took 2nd floor. Room had highway noise, but were able to sleep till around 12;30 when the person in the room above us came in. It was very noisy after that, we should have insisted on upper floor like planned.
