Stayed at this hotel for new year. Hotel is just a little dated room wise but spotless. Breakfast was included and well set out with plenty of choice of food with 4 hot choices. Waiters going round topping up coffee. Not being coffee drinkers we chose tea and a great selection of teas was available. Only problem was the 'hot' water in the urn was not hot enough to infuse the tea, consequently it was weak an lukewarm. Normally we only use hotels with teamaking facilities and take our own tea. Eat in the hotel on new years eve and it was what looked like a pared down menu. It was ok though and there was a good buzz around the restaurant. After the meal we went into the cocktail bar and were royally treated by Ali the Morrocan barman. As the bar was quiet he kept up a good conversation for two hours or so, great guy. Both check in and check out was quick and the staff were very friendly. Hotel was right next to Maybachstrasse U bahn station, Only 6 stops from the centre of Stuttgart. 12 euros for a day ticket for up to 5 people in zone 1 and 2.. book your ticket online before you travel. A day group ticket from the airport is 16.70 euros which I think covers the whole system. As we paid only a cheap price for two nights and flights from Manchester this was a good stay.
The hotel is a bit on the old side, but it is clean. The rooms are basic but clean, and the bathrooms have weighing scales which I appreciated. The hotel is a stone throw away from the Maybach street train station, which I found quite convenient to get around Stuttgart quite easily. The temperature in the rims is centrally controlled and this was a disadvantage for me as I had to keep my window open for the time I was there because my room was too hot. So obviously the noise from the street was a bit annoying. Another down side for me is having to get WiFi vouchers daily from the reception to go in. I found this quite cumbersome. All in all an average experience.
We booked this hotel because of the distance to Porsche arena (20 min by taxi or car ) as well as it is value as accommodation include breakfast. Hotel is not very tall and breakfast is better than expected with larger variety compared to average germany hotel. It is also located near the Tram station and opposite the famous Stuttgart theatre. There is no extra amenities like toothbrush and hair conditioner but or room is spacious is enough for 2 persons. The internet access password is given each day with a different password. The room. Key is a real solid metal key- so we usually deposit at the counter instead of carrying around. It is near to the Tram station which we like. The bath shower within the bath tub area is small and there is no shower curtain and the floors get wet easily after shower. Aircon doesn’t seem to work in autumn end sept but room cool enough. There is no slope to the front reception. So prepared to carry your large luggage up the stairs. No bell boy Nor concierge services.
The room was OK nothing special but for one day it was all right. I called the reception because I wanted to connect my PlayStation to the TV, but they arrogantly told me it was forbidden at there hotel . Like it was something impossible or like I wasn't a customer and they couldn't satisfy my needs. Definitely not coming back again to this place.
Good size bedroom with well stocked and reasonably priced mini bar. Breakfast time from 6am to11am and good selection of continental and cooked. Unfortunately smoking is still allowed in bar area and this prevented us from using most nights. Very handy for tube station and had a nice meal at Theatre across the road.
Rooms are quite big sized and clean. Restaurant and bar is also available. Pricing is OK. The hotel should benefit from a refurbishment as the standard is quite old. Hotel is confidently located close to ubahn.
The hotel is somehow dreary, so if you expect more than having a place to stay for a night (i.e. charming building, room with a view etc.), don't chose this place. Staff is efficient. If you smoke, the bar is smoker (incredible but true). WIfi is free and reasonably fast. Rooms are very small but very clean. Breakfast is OK.
It's basically an ok business hotel but in dire need for renovation. There seems to be only 1 (maybe 2) elevators which is old and small. The double bed is just 2 single mattresses side by side, so outdated. Plus the room is "prepared" for 2 single beds so there are light switches on the middle of the wall at the head of the bed. So when you ask for a double bed (and the 2 single beds are pushed together), your pillow/head touches the light switches. The bathroom is tiny and the sink is minuscule, volume of about 4 liters. The towels are small and thin. The glass shower door covers barely a meter of the bathtub so when you take a shower, the water sprays everywhere in the bathroom. The bar was lively (when we were there) and cozy, at least. And the staff was very friendly and helpful.
Ok hotel.....main draw back is the heating... no matter what you do the rooms are always too hot, open the window and all you can hear is non stop traffic!! Bar is ok with good choice of drinks and snacks.
It takes just 1 min from the subway station so very easy to find. It has quite mordern facilities. Before I god to this hotel, I didn't expact because of the pictures from tripadvisor. But it was much better than i expected.
