Good points : everyone was friendly and welcoming. Jacuzzi was great! Points of improvement : we arrived to check in, and were told there was a spiritual ceremony going on and if we could wait to check in for "a few minutes". We were offered free kombucha for the trouble which was nice. But while waiting and drinking our kombucha, the people from front desk responsible for checking us in walked right by, said they were still doing the ceremony and were just grabbing some supplies, and didn't take a couple min to just give us our room key and check us in real quick! We ended up going on a walk instead and it wasn't too big of a deal but this isn't exactly great customer service. In addition, we were charged 2 desserts on our room bill, but we only ordered one. Carpet seemed a bit dirty as well but the bed was great and comfortable. The biggest disappointment was that we thought we would get a direct view of the mountains from our window, but unfortunately it didn't look like the online photos described it. It's still in a beautiful area but not like we imagined it would be. Generally an okay place to stay and a good retreat to recharge.

This place feels more like staying with extended family you don't know well than it does a hotel. We were just looking for a reasonably priced place to rest our heads for a nights. This is not that.

Out of the way , rundown with little in the way of amenities.

Out in the country, quiet, rustic location. Outside is a bit weathered but inside is clean, warm, nice. Nothing fancy, but comfy with yoga and hot tub, etc., if you want that. Vegetarian meals (dinner, breakfast) were tasty filling. Ate "family style" at one large table chatting with staff and another couple of guests (there weren't many folks there.) Just very pleasant experience.

The hotel looks rustic on the exterior and has a rustic "new age" vibe on the inside. Upon arrival, there was no one at the front desk, but the customer keys were laid on the counter with your name and what room you were assigned. The rooms are not number, but instead have names.....mine was "You Are Loved." The rooms are very dated but colorful and "hippy-ish." The room was not very spacious but it had a stove type heater that heated very well. The floor was uneven and the dresser was leaning against the wall on it's rear two legs. There were not enough outlets in the room to accommodate phone chargers and laptops for two people. The rooms were kind of dimly lit as well with low watt bulbs. I didn't find the bed very comfortable, it felt like it dipped off to the side and all during the night when I turned around, I felt like I was going to roll off the bed. There are no complimentary shampoos, but they did provide some soap in a pump and for the shower there was a pump of 4 in 1 soap/shampoo/conditioner/face cleanser, however, it appeared almost empty and had been watered down a lot. When we left the next morning, there was still no one at the front desk, so we just left out key on the counter with our name on a piece of paper. Overall, I wouldn't say it's a terrible room but it was well below my expectations and in MY opinion, not worth the nightly rate I was charged.

We are so sorry for the problems. We could have just given you the room key but just didn't think of it. We will happily now give you a credit for the desert charged in error. Sorry you were put in a room where the trees blocked your view of the mountains. it is of course not an issue during ski season when the leaves are all off the trees. Thank you for your stay with us. We'll try harder.

I sense you felt uneasiness about some of our staff interacting with you on entering and leaving. We will work on being more sensitive to our guests' desire for privacy.

"Old place" - Yes, we are an old country inn, were you expecting a brand new chain hotel? "A little strange" - granted we are unusual, a bit "bohemian". We are pioneers of the new age! Many guests feel this adds to our appeal. "Out of the way"(?) - Depends on which way you are going. We are right on the way to skiing and hiking and autumn leaves, and just past the waterfalls and swimming holes at Bolton Potholes. "rundown" - Our new dome is still under construction, and the six months of snow every year do cause more wear and tear than other locations, but we are renovating the exterior as much as we can during these summer months. Our interior is clean and in good operating condition. "little in the way of amenities"(?) Hmm... our long list of amenities include sauna, hot tub, library, free organic tea and coffee, restaurant and kombucha bar, games and puzzles, coloring books for adults, tarot cards, yoga and massage studios -- apparently lots of amenities that you weren't interested in. Not sure why you didn't check to see if we had whatever amenities you were expecting.
