Oestermalm location, close to shopping areas as well as the strandvagen. Its a bit of an unusual hotel. Theres no definite front desk. There's a single computer and a person there (usually) in the entry hallway. They check you in and give you a code to open your room. There's an old grill door elevator as well as a modern one. Rooms come in different sizes. We had 3 separate bookings at the hotel due to days spent outside stockholm inbetween. The first room we got was rather tiny. The second one was larger.. this was a room designed for the handicapped. Hence the bathroom for example was really large. The beds are comfortable. The rooms are ofcourse cleaned everyday. However they did not refill the soaps, shampoos etc on a daily basis. On two separate days, I had to ask them to give us another shower gel. Shampoos and conditioner was not a problem as they tended to last longer. On the weekends, it can get a bit noisy from bars at the street level. Breakfast was included. Fair spread, but it was the same everyday. Got a little boring. Nice staff. If nobody is present at the "front desk", the computer screen shows you a phone number to call. They are inhouse, so they will come over and help shortly.

This hotel couldn't have been more perfect. It's centrally located to most of Stockholm's sights and a 2-minute walk to the underground Metro station making it easy to travel to other parts of the city. The room we had was great with funky decor which lived up to the hotel's reputation. And the breakfast that was included was plentiful and chock full of variety. If you're a foodie or shopaholic, you're close to many shopping boutiques and great restaurants. The Story's adjacent bar Ling Long is great too. Bartender Madeline serves up great drinks!

Great design and value in a trendy neighborhood with lots of options for dining/bars

I am a designer that travels a great deal for business and pleasure in four and five star hotels and now consider the Story to be of my all time top stays! It was exactly what I hoped it would be and then some. A charming and unique location that reminded me very much of my stays at the Ace Hotel in NYC. The major difference being that the Story Hotel goes out of their way to know and accommodate each guest. I'm so happy I decided to stay in for the evening and have dinner at the Story restaurant. I recommend sitting at the bar, ordering a burger, and watching the mixologists/bartenders work their magic. The assistants at the front desk were also incredibly helpful... THANKS STORY!

Highly recommended hotel. Great bar, rooms, breakfast, location and staff. No A/C in our room and it was a bit hot but not unbearable. Everything else was excellent.

Great time in Story Hotel. Good location in Stockholm. ;)

loved the story hotel - fantastic location, great breakfast, clean, fun bar - highly recommend.

I enjoyed my stat at the Story Hotel. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was amazing!!!!

Great experience at Story hotel. Free minibar water/drinks, heated tiles in the bathroom, free wifi and breakfast make for great amenities and coziness. Only downside is the rooms are smallish. Fantastic location.

Story Hotel is one block from the Metro, near shopping and many restaurants. Interesting and art-filled room, really comfortable bed. Could use more functional space in the bathroom. Breakfast was included and delicious. The restaurant was beautiful and food very good. Staff was first-rate. In a very expensive city, it is a good value.

Our room was tiny, but comfortable. Stayed with 2 other couples who had higher priced rooms both were HUGE! Staff was very friendly and hotel location was amazingly close to anything and everything you could possibly want to do in Stockholm.

The hotel was a nice place. There were only several drawbacks. One was there was no air conditioning, which is no problem, but, there was no fan, and when you opened the window you listened to the drunk people from the bar downstairs. The staff was very helpful in every situation. The morning breakfast could not have been any better. Just the noise, and also 1 more thing. The drapes do not keep the sunlight out which lasts most nights and days, The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was very nice looking.

Aside from not having internet in our room (staff tried unsucessfully to resolve the issue) our hotel stay was wonderful. Story Hotel is located within walking distance to most everything; Vasa, Skansen, King Garden, Gamil Stan, Olympic Stadium... as well as Arlanda Express. We bought a bus pass and didn't end up needing it. Breakfast each morning was fresh and having a fridge in our room was another nice amenity.

Only downside is the music from the bar below. On the other hand there is a great bar below the Hotel. Go down for a drink in your pj's. We were on the third floor, you could feel/hear the bass but not enough to keep you from sleeping. Stayed in the standard room, plenty of space, huge by European standards, waterfall shower, it was awesome. Service was great, we scored free wraps from the hostess one night. The key code to get into your room is also cool and convenient. The old elevator next to the modern talking one is a novel alternative. Would stay again and recommend to friends

Our room was very small, but I think there were larger choices, just not available when we reserved. The 'check-in area" was the hallway on the way to the elevator, and there was a computer for people to check themselves in if they had made a reservation directly thru the hotel. Room "keys" were a number code for the door lock of your room. We required an actual person to check in because we booked thru an outside agency, but that was easily done. The hotel seemed dark and they don't use a lot of light in either their foyer, bar or restaurant, nor halls but they were all very warm and inviting nonetheless. Breakfast, (included) was good and the bar had live music on some nights. We did not have any dinners there, but it was always busy so I assume it was good. I would definitely stay there again, but if I were staying for a long time, or had a lot of luggage, I would try and reserve a larger room.

Our stay was great. Close to everything. Good breakfast, staff was the best. Very helpful.Room was small, but clean and had a kingsize bed! Was our first time to Sweden and we would stay there again if we have the chance to visit again.

I loved The Story hotel! It's so nice and cozy, right in the thick of all the most gorgeous shopping in Stockholm. Breakfast was delicious!

The hotel is in the perfect central location giving you easy access to Central Station, Stureplan bars/clubs/restaurants, the Royal Palace, etc. Don't bother wasting your money on a cab or metro ride, it's a nearly straight 10/15 minute walk from Central. The check-in process is completely automated, something we did not discover until after check-out because the staff is so friendly and attentive. Rooms are a standard European size, with great modern flair and a massive bathroom. Pin-code access to the room means not having to carry around any keys/key cards. The 2nd floor garden bar is a great way to start the night, although the drinks can be a little pricey.

The Story Hotel is a nice addition to the selection of hotels in Stockholm. The location is excellent with a subway stop nearby an many attractions, shops and restaurants nearby. Good value for money

Hotel was very nice in a central location for sightseeing. Good continental breakfast. Self-service check-in was a bit confusing, but was able to call receptionist.
