Courtyard by Marriott Stockholm Kungsholmen4.0 out of 5.0

Totally up to standards, staff so friendly and room so clean. Breakfast was good but I wad expecting a little bit more choice like smoke salmon should be included in the star level standard. Unfortunately they don't accept cash anymore which I wasn't aware before I came. Other than that, it is a good stay. It is about 35 minutes walk to city centre and 2 stops by blue line metro.
This hotel is on the side of a busy road but is very quiet. The welcome from reception is excellent and the ambiance is great. There is a lovely fire and chillout zone. Very pleased and hope to make a return visit.
It is an above standard courtyard. We had a good welcome, and efficient people at the front desk. Room are standard and functional. You have the possibility to rent a bike from the hotel and it will cost you around 10 Euros per day. I did it and was very convenient to see the city. I will stay there again on my next visit to Stockholm.
1. Complimentary room upgrade for Marriott Member: As a Gold Elite member of Marriott, my room was upgraded to a Studio room at the top floor. 2. Room: The room itself is not very big (The hotel don’t have any suite), but it include a balcony with stunning view overlooking the lush green-space and river. Also the room features a Jacuzzi Whirlpool bathtub, allowing you to enjoy some relaxing spa therapy. 3. Great Location: The hotel is located in a comfortable and silent residential district. There are some convenient stores near the hotel. Only a five-minute walk to the Fridhemsplan metro station, providing direct access to all parts of Stockholm, including Centre Station. 4. Facilities: There are fitness and business centre in the hotel, but no swimming pool. Platinum or Gold Elite members can enjoy buffet breakfast in the hotel’s restaurant (Bjork) on the ground floor, however there is no executive lounge in the hotel. Overall I am satisfied with my stay in Courtyard Stockholm Kungsholmen and I will stay here again in the future.
Stayed there for 2 nights. My room was upgraded to corner suite. Little bit more space. Internet speed was great. Had lots of choices for breakfast. The hotel located between 2 subway stations - same distance both from the hotel.
We Stayed here 3 nights (Thursday to Sunday) in 2 connecting rooms on the 10th floor, with our daughter. Although located a little outside the City, we did walk in by the waterside past the City Hall a couple of times, which took about 30 minutes. There are also nearby Tunnelbana stations which we used. Staff were polite and helpful. Our rooms were clean, well serviced and had fridge, safe and iron. Good Wi-fi connection. Our bathroom had a walk-in shower and our other room had a full size bath. We were very comfortable here and found it a good base for our trip. We requested and were provided with robes and slippers, but the robes were extremely small. Breakfast in the Bjork Restaurant was good, with plenty of choice. Don’t like the extra charge for fried egg though - it is expensive enough! Couldn't use cash to settle part of bill on checkout - so spend up if not local!! Lovely City. If here as a tourist do not miss the Vasa Museum. Buy a day or more travel ticket which you can use on buses, trams, ferries and the Tunnelbana- they are good value.
Rooms are a bit run-down and stuffy. Carpet and curtains look dirty, old and stained. Have actually experienced stays where the carpet wasn't clean on numerous occasions. Also the walls look old and slightly washed out. General impression is old and not very clean. Positives about the hotel are the reception staff, lobby and bar area. The gym is quite big for a hotel gym with a good selection of weights and equipment. The restaurant serves very tasty food but it often happens that the waiting time for food is way too long and the service of the waiting staff can be a bit questionable.
Even though the Courtyard Stockholm is not in the city centre, it only takes less than 10 minutes to ride the metro to the city terminal. The nearest metro station from the hotel is Thorildsplan and it's a 5-minute walk along the park. I used Marriott's app to check-in the night before and indicated our expected arrival time at 11am. When checked in, we were informed that the room was ready which was wonderful as we were tired after the long haul flight. We also received an upgrade to a Superior Corner Room on the higher floor probably due to my Marriott Gold status. The check-in process was efficient and the receptionist was very polite. Our room was facing the roundabout but could not hear any traffic noise. The room was pretty spacious by European standard and clean. The king-sized bed was very comfy and we took a long nap before heading out. It also had a designer chair and a small table by the window. The bathroom was large with all the amenities and good water pressure. There were many channels on the TV and HDMI connection for the computer. The buffet breakfast was nice with many items to choose from. However, I was a little surprised you needed to pay extra if you would like to order omelette, pancakes, etc. A good choice for both business and leisure travelers and recommended if you would like to stay away from the busy city center area.
Located a bit outside of the city center. Staff are very welcoming and rooms have more space than average in Scandinavia. Food is great and the bar is nice. It is absolutely worth the money and I will absolutely choose this hotel over the city center location.
Good location near the subway and beautiful park. Spacious room with all equipment. If you need to print smth the hotel has a business corner with computers and printer. Good breakfast with fruits and bakery. In the evening you can visit grill restaurant (cashless to).
