Pretty good hotel

Always pick this hotel when we’re in town for work because it’s a short walk from the office. The employees are friendly and the rooms are clean. Breakfast is a bit limited and there’s no gym but other than that, it’s exactly what we need for our stay!

Good choice,if initially sceptical re.hospital connection, this in fact was no problem,unusual to be surrounded by newly born at breakfast!,, location ,very good,bus beside hotel,metro 10 minutes walk/or bus connect;; old town 20 minutes from hotel ,breakfast very good,hot and cold choices,coffee good, very ,very quiet in hotel, bar/lounge area at reception,nice view from large window space, very good room rate relative to Stockholm hotel rates in general.Would definitely recommend.

We stayed at the Arstaviken for 4 nights. We chose this hotel as we were visiting our Son who was staying in student accommodation nearby. The location for us was good however you needed to travel to get to the centre. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff were pleasant. The hotel is within the hospital and there were patients at breakfast but this fine they were all new Mums and Dads and their new Babies. We did book a double room and were given a twin room which was very small, we asked to change to double and were told there were no doubles available and this was a disappointment as we had booked well inadvance.

The Hotel is in a HOSPITAL!!!

So the fourth floor of this hospital is a hotel, its super nice and new. Really clean, breakfast is FREE, food in Sweden is so expensive. The Breakfast is so goooood. You get to eat with all the new borns from the hospital. Very close to a bus stop that is three stops from a metro. You can get anywhere. View is pretty nice.

Arriving at the hotel was rather strange with patients being outside found where to go the reception area was lovely very friendly the room was really nice but lacked having a kettle for a drink. Going for meals was an experience with having lots of patients coming in as well. As a hotel to relax it's not ideal we felt awkward being there so not able to relax. So although the beds were comfortable I wouldn't go again unfortunately

Part of why I loved Stockholm

I've stayed there for 11 days loved how the bus was just right there and took me straight to work , same with the metro stations you may have to walk a bit but who hates walking in Stockholm

Unusual Surroundings

A bit suprising to find that you are staying in a hospital. Breakfast is shared with those who have just arrived on this earth and their Mums & Dads. The rooms were new and comfortable. Everything is handicap accessible. There is a beautiful view of the river in the lounge and dining area. All the staff were fabulous and very helpful. It is about a 15 minute walk to the nearest train station. As odd as it was to walk into a hospital ward rather than a hotel lobby, I would recommend the hotel for any one who does not enjoy very small rooms in the city and likes a bit of breathing space. On the positive side, if anything goes wrong with you health, you are already at the hospital.

Clean Hotel near Hospital

Hotel on 4th Floor, Hospital Underneath, so Breakfast can be busy with Patients aswell as Residents. Mothers pushing babies in new born cots whilst serving themselves scrambled eggs a common sight! Quality of food good. Staff very helpful. Hotel WIFI rubbish, but the alternative free hospital WIFI better.

Hospital room for rent

There is nothing wrong with this hotel, but guests should be made aware that whilst the Hotels.com site has it looking like a hotel, once you get to it, its locally branded as a care hotel. It is on the top two stories of a hospital building and the rooms even have sterile gloves and aprons in them. It was comfortable and peaceful (until the new-born babies stir) and nothing majorly wrong - but I do feel misled in where I was staying, essentially, it was a hospital room being rented out.

Good location but unique

As the hotel is part of a hospital it is a bit weird, the hotel is in a good location with a bus stop only 5 mins walk away and train 10 mins. Breakfast was good but also a little weird as it's shared with new parents so quite a few babies in the breakfast room
