Evelyn and Lucky are great. They truly made this move and transition easy. This hotel was a home away from home. They have fresh baked cookies on week nights, a great hot tub, a pool, and a great breakfast. Totally would stay here again.
The Good: Newer hotel, everything looked nice and functioned, ample parking, sufficient breakfast included The Bad: Not a solidly built hotel, could hear TV from next room, people walking down the hall, and people across the hall showering. The Details: Was able to get a room walking in on a Wednesday evening. The person manning the front desk was also taking care of the bar so there was a short wait when arriving. Hotel looks nice enough in lobby area, hallways, and rooms. Everything functioned properly in the room. The bed itself was comfortable, but my main issue was that the hotel was "hollow". You could hear everything that was going on outside of the room. Footsteps could be heard in the hallway, the TV next door, the person showering in the morning across the hall. There is little soundproofing. The other major concern that I have is that you do not have complete control of the fan in the room. Temperature was controlled well, but you cannot get the fan to stay on constantly to create white noise. So all through the night, the fan was on, the fan was off. That doesn't work well for me to get a good night of sleep. Breakfast in the morning was fine. There was a pretty standard selection but everything was good.
This is a great place to stay. The motel is very clean and the lobby area is very nicely decorated. The grounds around the hotel are well-maintained and free of debris. The staff at the front desk is extremely helpful and very pleasant to deal with unlike so many other motels. The housekeeping staff was more than accommodating when we needed extra towels. The breakfast has plenty to choose from and no one should go away hungry. We've stayed there multiple times and will continue to go back. Thanks to the entire staff for making our stays so enjoyable.
I booked this hotel about 5 days before my stay in Plover. I figured while mountain biking in Wausau (9 mile) I would be tired enough for a stay and a night out. Great location. You are basically 5 minutes to all the shopping and dining you would need for an entire weekend. Very courteous staff and a great room with a very comfortable bed which I definitely needed. There was no view but it didn't really matter. I was there to relax.
Why have a bar if it's closed? Surely there is more than 1 or 2 bartenders so someone could fill in. Room is nice, clean, quiet, and a good location for our stay. But we planned on their happy hour to relax after an 8 hour drive just to find it closed. You can confirm our reservation a day before but not mention so of the hotel is closed.
Stayed for 2 nights. The hotel was clean, the room which was a King Suite was roomy and very nice. I didn't have the complimentary breakfast so I can't comment on the selection. There was a graduation going on in Stevens Point so the hotel was booked. Even though it was booked it was very quiet and the rates were more than satisfactory for a Friday and Saturday nite stay. I will book this place again if I am ever in need of a hotel in this area. The beds are comfy if you like "hard" mattress.
My Family and I had the pleasure of staying here for the 8th grade girls State Basketball tournament. The room was very clean, and beautiful. The front desk cleark was friendly, and so was house keeping staff. House keeping staff even left a note to explain if we needed extra towels how to get more. The breakfeast was very good. They had a great choice of different foods to eat, and the area was very clean. The two days we were there was very nice, and we would recommend that if your State tournaments are held in Stevens Point. You should be the first ones to book this hotel. It is located by the express way, and not far from shopping centers going towards Stevens Point. Really enjoyed our stay.
I will keep it short and sweet... Everything is great. The rooms are pristine, great breakfast and location, wonderful staff and there is no down side to it. I highly recommend this place. There is even a little lounge at this motel.
We rented a meeting room for a group of 40 people and a room for overnight for one of our guests. The rooms were immaculate and beautifully appointed, and the staff was very accommodating and friendly to us all. I would definitely recommend Comfort Inn to anyone looking for great place to stay in the Plover/Stevens Point area.
This should be rated a 5 star. The people are service are excellent. The breakfast is great! The pool is alway clean. The girls in housekeeping are just so sweet. Lucky does a great job here, she is amazing.
