The Beachview Hotel

3.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

To be clear this is not a 5-star hotel. If you're expecting a Hilton with a great grand lobby, large pool, and a lazy river, etc., this is not your hotel. (In fact we were in a Hilton in Orlando before going to Clearwater beach so we can compare.) That said, this was the perfect beach hotel for a family of four with a teenager and an eight year old. All the rooms in this hotel are suite style with a balcony view of the ocean. The view from our hotel balcony is fantastic, which is great for people watching and just simply made us feel attune to the area. Our room is very spaceous although the bathroom is a bit small. Aside from the 2 queen beds, it has a dining area, sofa area (pullout), microwave and fridge, all of which gave it a bit of a home feel. Pool is small but it serves its purpose of a fun cool down place from being at the beach. But the greatest asset of this hotel is location location location. This place is literally right across the best beach in Clearwater and right beside some of the best restaurants and shopping malls in the area. This made everything essentially walking distance. I would book this hotel again when return to Clearwater baeach.

Hotels in the beach are expensive and you get what you pay for. Older property fairly well maintained, but rooms are dated and fun not squeaky clean.

Very nice restaurant and bar with service to the pool is a great addition.

Front office staff is condescending, rude and answers simple questions with comments to make you feel inferior. For instance, is my car OK from towing while I check in? Well, unless you want me to call the tow truck on you right now. Or, how do I find my room? Well, we have one elevator, it is right there and you press 5 for the fifth floor.

Room had refrigerator, stove and sink. It would be helpful to have a paper towel dispenser. Bathroom is small but manageable. Elevator smelled so bad we took the stairs to the 4th floor most times. It continued to smell the 3 days we were there. Was cool one night but when we turned on heat it smelled like the room was on fire. Staff was great . This place is ok if you can't afford to stay at a big hotel but want something more than a motel type setting. View of ocean is available but rooms on other side expose you to a lot of construction!!!

I book this room over 2 month ago... reviews were ok but the price was perfect!!! To our surprise when we arrived the location was insane... couldn't be any more perfect! The hotel just when thru a whole facelift that left it so beautiful.... my husband and I had the beach view room "perfection" doesn't get any better! Room 505 we will see you again soon!

This is not a resort faulse advertising old old over prised hotel

This hotel used to be like $75-90 a night to stay in because it's a very lack luster place. So it was worth cheap money for cheap quality. However now that they raised rates to over 100 a night and sometimes 200 a night for the crap rooms, it's worth spending only $15-20 more a night to stay in neighboring hotels! Dirty rooms, bugs, stains on sheets gross, and absolutely no amenities besides a 30 year old coffee machine a dirty small pool and stale bagels for breakfast. Pass it up and stay next door!

Nice place. Great location. Nice staff. The pool and room were recently renovated. However, the pool was not heated and impossible to use in February weather. The room could use newer more firm beds. The room was updated but still dated in some aspects.

Our check-in was over an hour and a half late. We watched as other guests before us just gave up and left to other hotels rather than wait for their reservations to be filled at a delayed time. We were never informed that the pool at the facility was under construction and not available, rather we discovered it the following morning. Some of the ice machines were not functioning. It's clear some renovations are underway at this hotel but they should have been communicated on their web site and to all guest with existing reservations, instead we were mislead, and delayed for our in town concert the evening of check in. Too risky a venture to stay here again. If you want what's seemingly available per their web page amenities be aware you may be mislead also.

I was disappointed that the pool was under construction. That was never mentioned beforehand. That would have been a deciding factor for me. The air conditioner was extremely noisy all night.

nice basic hotel. clean rooms. friendly staff. awesome location

Nice surprise. Very accommodating staff. Perfect location. Great views. Breakfast wasn't much. The open halls/walkways make it kinda noisy. All in all great bargain.

I really liked this hotel. Staff was very nice and helpful. The room was clean but a little small and there was no refrigerator in the room. But for the price and the location you can't beat it. I would definitely stay here again.

It was a comfortable and relaxing experience, the staff was very friendly and courteous, particularly Rob at check in and out. However I'd have preferred to face the gulf rather than the causeway, but it was a nice view nonetheless.

We had a great time at the Beachview Inn. It's a great location along Clearwater Beach. Our room had a great view! The room was clean and the staff was very kind and helpful. Would definitely go back!

Hotel is in great location, across street from beach and close to everything. Parking is $10 a day and should be included since public parking is terrible. Chairs at table (suite) were stained but otherwise all else clean. Pool is nice and deck is clean. Staff were friendly and attentive. Continental breakfast as usual disappointing but what one expects for free. Wifi basically non existent all in all I would stay again due to value and location. It's not a high end by any means but not a cheesy motel either.

Friendly people, referred us to nice restaurants. Easy walk to beach.

Room was clean & good value for the money with wonderful view of the ocean & all its activities sailing, jet skiing, parasailing! Excellent convenient location across easy street crossing to beautiful white powdery beach & ocean.

We had just one and a half days to spend at the beach before moving to our destination. We wanted to be near the beach without a high pricetag. This hotel was perfect. Literally just a wslk across the street to the beach. Once we parked we didn't drive again until we left the beach for good. We were able to walk to places to eat and watch the sunset on the beach. The next day we spent by the pool with it's awesome view!
