This is a beautiful resort. Our first try of an all inclusive. The buffets at all meals are great with lots of choices but you have to have will power. Pasta is delicious as it is an Italian run resort. There is desert each night ( small cakes and pies). Drinks and wine and cappuccino included. We rented a car but drove into a ditch and took it back. 2 fellows helped us out but we had to pay $350 for damages. There are large potholes all over the island . Go to Barbuda and see the frigate reserve . It was the highlight of the trip. We didn’t feel prickly pear island was anything special and The snorkeling was nonexistent. Stick with BVI and USVI if this is what you like to do. The island is not that attractive but do not miss the barbecue and steel drums at Shirley heights. Claudia at activities desk is wonderful,

The peace and quiet. The staff was so friendly and had excellent customer service

This quaint resort was everything that we hoped for! We were in Elba, Italy two years ago and were reminded of our stay there. The accomodations were perfect-smaller than the mega hotels with a FABULOUS pool area! The 40+meter pool was perfects for laps! Two small beach areas were well maintained and not crowded. The food was fresh and delicious! The Italian chefs provided 2 different pasta choices for lunch EVERY day and 2-3 unique pasta choices for dinner! Meat and veggie/fruit dieters would be very pleased with the Fresh fish plus succulent meat choices for lunch AND dinner! The only negative would be that we only stayed 5 nights!!!!! HIGHLY recommend OP for anyone seeking a laid back tropical vacation to a VERY accomodating resort. Another plus for me was that the owner was there greeting her guests, participating in the everyday functions of the resort and taking the time to chat with me about her background and the resort. LOVED IT! We will go back every or every other year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very quite and hotel staff very friendly. Food was very good; italian style.

Lovely hotel, quiet, fun, terrific food, laid-back European seaside feel.

Wonderful hotel with friendly staff, a small private beach and delicious food. I would definitely stay here again in the future.

It was a good resort with friendly staff. The food was excellent . The beach was not impressive. There are better beaches in Antigua however you eill need a taxi or bus to get there

Tranquility, comfort, genuine (not fake!) care, attentive hosts & intelligent guests. For us, personally, this set was winning issue for this place.

The hotel appears old, but is maintained well. Lovely grounds, but lots of stairs may hamper those with limited mobility. The large pool is clean, with many comfortable loungers around it. Pretty, small beaches. Pleasant staff. All-inclusive plan features Italian-style buffet food, but ala carte options can be purchased. (I might get bored with the buffet after a few days.) The hotel is far from St. John's and other restaurants and shops, so a car or cab is required if you want to do anything. But if you just want to relax and enjoy your days, this is a nice, quiet destination. I would recommend this place.

Not a single complaint!! Food was excellent, always fresh, as well as stuff that was made to order. Staff was very friendly and nice. Rooms were cleaned daily everything was always spotless. Pool was clean so are the beaches. This place is truly paradise...

I enjoyed the place and it was very pleasant. The breakfast by the ocean was very pleasant. There is a Getty and a few beaches within the complex. There were a lot of Italian guests. The dinner buffet is a good. There are not a lot of restaurants nearby. I think some of the southern beaches I saw might have been a little more dramatic, but the location was good for me.

This hotel was lovely. It is smaller than the all inclusives yet large enough to have all of what we wanted- beach access, good restaurant, (very small) spa services. You do need to be careful about which room you get if you want good wifi. Our room was good but on the next stay we were first given a room that was far from the lobby and wifi was not usable so we switched. The hotel does have a partnership with an Italian tour company so there are many people there on tours from Italy, and this was fine. ll the staff speak perfect English too. This hotel soes not arrange pool games which we were very happy for.

Stayed in nice room for 2 looking out at pool and beach. Nice size hotel. Mostly Italian guests on tour. Not close to other restaurants, but a nice long walk to Jabberwock beach which has nice snorkeling and a little restaurant great for lunch.

We were looking for a few days' worth of getaway in some balmy resort. This place and price seemed ok, also the time to get there was right - short flight, and the hotel is just a few minutes away from the airport. On arrival our room was ready. Nice room, clean, large balcony, good view (all rooms look out over the ocean). We noticed that everyone greeted us in Italian, and soon found out that this resort is THE main destination for an Italian travel agency. Virtually all hotel guests except us and another British couple were from Italy. Everything, from posted instructions (say, how to operate the safe deposit box) to the announcement of tonight's at-the-pool entertainment, was in Italian only (the entertainment itself, too). The senior staff overseeing the restaurant, the people from the "activity office", and the cooks were Italian, and were not really able to hold a conversation in another language. The resort featured 4 "activity coaches" organizing beach volleyball games, bocce, or a morning yoga session held in - you guessed it - Italian. For the first few days we were simply ignored when they moved around the beach inviting people to participate; eventually one of the guys asked me if we wanted to join in a game of bocce. The people were super-nice and friendly, non-Italians are simply not the target group. On the upside, the Italian food and wine was superb. Since we wanted a getaway, we didn't really mind too much, but it's easy to feel out of place there.

It is a quaint hotel with a nice cove for swimming. Sad part that is where the good ends. I would say easily 50 percent of the staff did not get the memo about trying to be nice to the guests. At check-in I was told of the all inclusive package that was the full menu at the restaurant and the open bar included. Talk about bait and switch. The menu in the package basically is limited to two selections at lunch and dinner. Out of the three days I had one meal that was outstanding the others were "not so good". The open bar was limited to a single selection of draft beer and bottom shelf alcohol. If you want a bottle of water it will cost you $3 US. I had booked a suite with ocean view. when the bell hop went to take my bag to the room I realized I had no change for a tip so I asked at the counter for change for a 20 and was told we cannot give change try the gift shop. I walked over there and asked and was simply told "No!" I decided at that point there was something fundamentally wrong. Upon getting to my room the air conditioner compressor was not functioning. No Air No Way. I carried my bags back down and asked for another comparable room with air that worked. Long story short the other room was barely ocean view "a sliver" and was not a suite. When asked they were unwilling to adjust my price paid. The shower had mold, a section of the pool was covered by a wooden patio and I think it must be a mosquito breeding ground as I was bitten many times after using OFF.
