This is my favourite place to stay in St. John's. The staff is super friendly and they rooms are always so so clean. Always smells fresh, beds are comfortable. They have smart tvs so that's a plus and keurig Coffee machines in the rooms. This hotel is the best when travelling with kids with their pool and giant slide. Does get too crowded there sometimes though. Also has a complimentary breakfast which is really good. Yummy coffee!

The hotel is located away from the downtown area so it is quite quiet and there is free parking. There is a restaurant right next door called Fionn's. There is also a post office right across the street. It is only 10 minutes to the airport. The rooms were quite spacious and the sheets were crisp and white. The room had a nice setup with desk, adequate lighting, and made it easy to do computer work. The only thing that could be improved is the ventilation fan in the bathroom didn't work. Hot water pressure was a little weak. The staff was very friendly, and there were always warm chocolate cookies when returning from the day's activities. Beverages were always available. There is a full breakfast in the mornings.

Very, very nice hotel with excellent and helpful staff. Not in downtown area - instead in busy business area. Excellent breakfast included in rate. Free parking. Free wi-fi. Nice rooms and beds. Highly recommend if you are in St. John's and don't need to be right downtown anyway.

I must start by saying the the front desk staff and even the breakfast staff were simply amazing! We were greeted by smiles at every turn and they were so accomodating especially since we were travelling with young kids. They were patient and kind and really made our one week stay so worthwhile. Serg, Erin, Andrew, and others deserve recognition. The hotel is located in a business park area (i think) with close proximity to a number of restaurants (within walking distance). No grocery store close by though - we had a rental car so that was not a problem. The hotel serves a free breakfast which is the standard hotel fare - eggs, bacon, waffles, fruit, juice and more, was ok. The hotel has a small salt water pool which was great - but even better was the amazing slide! we all had a really fun time at the end of the day (and sometimes in the morning) on the slide - great for families and it was well utilized. The hotel was kind enough to upgrade us to a suite room with a pull out couch since my daughter loved to sleep on those. We really appreciated that. The room was very clean, with a microwave, coffeemaker and small fridge. The bathroom however, needed just a tiny bit more attention - I am a clean freak so i do tend to notice things others might not. Upon first entry to the bathroom it looked impeccably clean, however when looking closely, the bottom of the glass bathroom door needed some serious cleaning as gunk had collected under the rubber seal - needs to be cleaned very well, otherwise it was nice and large shower. Another small issue i had was with the cleaning - we found that the room was not vacuumed every day (and with kids, crumbs do occur frequently), surfaces were not wiped and most days we had to replace the glass cups ourselves - we ended up having to pick up the crumbs off the carpet when we arrived back on most days. Even once we asked that the blanket be swapped out after a food spill, but it was turned over and reused instead. We did not really complain so the managers did not have a chance to address this, to be fair. I would definitely recommend this hotel, and would stay again if in St John's - the staff are worth it, the quality of the space is really good and would be top notch once the small issues are fixed.

We stayed here on our last day in Newfoundland. The TV in our room did not work and they upgraded us to a suite which was a nice change. Not a bad drive to the airport but fill up your rental car with gas near the hotel since there are no gas stations close to the airport that we could find. Clean and comfortable. Great breakfast.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for six nights June 04/17 to June 09/17.My husband was attending business meetings and I went along for a mini vacation. The hotel was very nice-the rooms beautifully decorated with bright colours. The beds were very comfortable with lots of pillows. The hot breakfast was very tasty with lots of choices such as eggs, bacon, sausage etc.Coffee was excellent!I did use the pool a few times and although it was small I did my workout swim. The pool and area was very clean with lots of swim towels provided. There is no restaurant on site but lots of restaurants within walking distance. We did have a car and went to the downtown area to dine(try the Fish Exchange Restaurant-food was awesome!)Had a great experience staying at this hotel and would definitely like to stay here again.

The Fairfield stands out by being very much as I expected. Very friendly and helpful staff, clean and well tended rooms, and a nice meal in the morning. My approach to St. John's is to spend a night or two here to hit the tourist spots outside downtown. When ready to hit Duckworth, Water, and George streets, I move to the Courtyard.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Recommended. The rooms are modern and very clean. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff friendly. It is a little off the beaten path, but a short cab ride downtown. I will be returning on future visits.

I always stay here when I am in St. John's on business. Front desk staff are always friendly and efficient. I am check in and heading to my room in minutes. The rooms are very clean and spacious and if there are any issues they are dealt with quickly and to my satisfaction. Breakfast is a typical breakfast for this type of hotel. Not great but enough to get you started. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are looking for a place to stay.

In St. John's for few days on business. I found the hotel was perfectly located in between downtown and the offices I needed to visit, even close to shopping centre etc. The room was clean and spacious. There was a good sized exercise room. There wasn't much of a breakfast but I'm always happy so long as I get coffee. I would stay again.
