You get what you pay for! We’ve stayed there numerous times but it doesn’t get better so we are done. Needed a computer degree to watch tv, we heard every word of the woman in the next room’s phone conversation ALL NIGHT, and got wake up calls both mornings at 5:30 that were a left over request from a previous guest. Never again!
Older hotel wasn't clean! Bad smell, Looked like a number of people live there full time.
The finishing of the room was atrocious. It was recently painted using a roller and they painted right over a light switch cover with no attempt to correct the error. The trim work in the room and the tiling in the bathroom were also terribly done. I'm not a carpenter but I could have done a hundred times better. The tile was missing the grout in the bathroom, just spaced apart but not finished. The trim work did not line up at all in multiple places. The man who represented the motel at check-in needs to learn a lesson about respecting the privacy of their guests! No exaggeration. I presented my Orbitz paperwork for the pre-paid stay. It took him a significant amount of time to figure out how to find my registration. He asked for my driver's license, which I had no objection to. I was confirming that I was the person who made the reservation, though I would have preferred to be asked to present the credit card used for the reservation. Then, he asked me to remove the license from my wallet so that he could make a photocopy of it. I refused to allow that to happen! This was NOT a legal proceeding or a health care visit! I refused to allow him to make a photocopy. Either he has no clue that they cannot legally do that OR he was associated with someone trying to steal my identity. Either way, that was UNACCEPTABLE and I made it clear that it would not happen. That soured my view of the motel right from the start. The price was right, but that's all.
Its a cheap hotel that's got a pool, spa, bar (may be closed) , & mall within walking distance.
I needed a hotel that would take a 20lb. dog. We had a viewing/funeral to attend in Wheeling. The location is very easy on/off the highways. The room was very clean but the hotel was a little on the noisy side. If you need a pet friendly place in St. Clairsville this place will do the trick.
We had come for the evening to visit the casino. Not far to the track, the night manager was very helpful to us. He went well above and beyond his job description with small favors. I would definitely return.
Front desk personnel appeared to be disinterested. In spite of the name, "Best" Western certainly doesn't apply.
Pool and spa in need of repair. Hot tub was taped off and empty. Basement area to pool and hot tub was moldy and had broken tiles and was dirty.
When making my reservation I said that I would be bringing children. When I showed up at the hotel with my kids they charged me an extra 15.00 while screaming that we would have to stay on the far end of the hotel because I had children. Not that I mind staying on the far end, but the way the staff members went about it was rude. The pool was filthy and the "Spa" was closed and full of disgusting black water. The tv in our room only got one channel and only half the screen worked. When I told the front desk person he informed me that to make it work I needed to point the remote at the tv. Thanks for the lesson on how to change a channel.
We called to book room, was suppose to have king size bed. When we arrived at hotel we got stuck with a room that had a pull down bed from the wall it was queen and only a shower no bath. We had my husband, my 4 year old and I that had to try and sleep in a queen size bed. The guy that was working was new and mistakes happen, our card was not charged and when asked the guy did bring us a fold out bed for my son. Just make sure you get the correct room booked. If it had been just my husband and I the room would have been okay.

The hotel was very poorly maintained. There were quite a few lights out, not enough food at breakfast, pop machines were empty and the maid service was only minimal. Updates were made with the tv's but rooms were then not finished to accomodate them. The advertised lounge was not open during the summer months either as advertised. Very unhappy stay.
truck broke down and was lucky to find a room in town. Room average but clean for hotel chain.
Hotel was suitable but front desk staff was not very well trained. We checked in with pets, but had to return to desk later when someone who knew how to process pet charges was there. On check-out, we had a question about our charges but again no one available to help. Manager had to call us hours later to answer our questions.
This was an okay hotel. However, the check-in person was not good at customer service. He was not friendly and he wasn't willing to swipe my credit card twice. Instead I had to leave and go down the street to get money out of an ATM for a perfectly good card and account all because he was not educated on the credit card machine. This hotel also charged an expensive pet fee when compared to other hotels. I will stay elsewhere the next time I am in town.
A quick day and night getaway, the room was good sized, when we got in the room, there were no hand towels or wash cloths to clean up, the shower fixtures were very loose.
Good location, alot of minor stuff that sucks. IE. owner yelling and swearing at staff at the front desk. Soda machines did not work. One ice maker that worked occasionally. Continental Breakfast: Make your own waffles (GREAT), cereal and milk (warm milk), coffee (tasted burnt) and toast (hard to screw that up).
