this place was for me an experience. off the beaten path a little hard to find if your coimg in at night. but the place is magical. my 7 year old son loved walking the grounds in the morning and I was able to smoke my bf butt in a gamem of ping pong. Enjoyed .. would stay again
Definitely off the beaten path, and a beautiful location. Like visiting grandma's house, except there is great staff.
The property was very private being set back off the highway. The grounds were terrific. The owner and staff were very hospitable and accommodating. The overall experience was great. When I am back in that area I will definitely see if they have a room available.
The grounds are wonderful and the hacienda is a classic, fun design. The staff was very helpful and friendly. It is nice and quiet and just a short drive to downtown San Diego.
The grounds are beautiful and the buildings are very nice.
We stayed at this lovely location for 3 nights in January. From the moment we checked in until we checked out we felt so welcome! The rooms are lovely and comfortable. The breakfast was very nice and the grounds are incredible. I have two bits of FYI (definitely not negative feedback whatsoever, just simple 'nice to know'): 1. The fitness equipment is kept outside and is a bit weathered. However with all of the amazing hiking in the area, it really wasn't a big deal breaker for us though I do normally like to do some sort of workout when we're away. 2. The 'hot tub' was FREEZING! Granted it's January and I'm definitely sensitive to energy saving initiatives, but I was looking forward to a nice soak in the outdoor hot tub but that was definitely out of the question as it was the same temp as the pool. Again, overall I would absolutely recommend this lovely place. The grounds and ambiance itself is well worth the stay.
Easy and quick to get to but a little off the beaten path which made for a quiet and restful stay during the business trip. Very nice chat and 5 minute tour of the grounds with George (owner) and then nothing but peace and rest. Great place to stay. Think I'll bring my wife next time as I'm sure she would enjoy it as well.
