Hotel Ruby

3.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Downtown Spokane is sorely missing inexpensive hotels that are safe and clean. We often use the Ruby because it fills that void for a one night stay. We like the bar and convenience of the free breakfast. This last visit I saw some evidence that the original is showing some wear and tear that needs to be addressed. i will still stay at the Ruby but hopefully the ownership can take some time to look over this original property and fix the little things like torn carpet, bathroom fixtures, and retrain slow to respond morning staff.

Love the hotel but the toilet wasn't working properly.

Nicely renovated old style motel. Rooms are out side with gated entry access to parking and stairs

Came up for a concert that ended up getting cancelled due to bad weather. Ended up staying an extra night because we liked this hotel so much. The bar staff at the sapphire lounge were the highlight of our trip! Seriously, those guys derserve a raise! Very clean and comfortable rooms. Not a lot of parking, but they had over flow parking not too far away. Overall great time!

Construction around hotel along with constant rain made for muddy adventures. Room was tiny. Recent remodel helped but I would have been happier at a hotel that had some amenities. ( lobby, work out room, common area of some kind)

This hotel was nothing special. The rooms were old and the location downtown was the only redeeming quality. I was not overly impressed with the room, parking, or "breakfast".

I liked my hotel room. Most of the details were nice. I had two problems. There is no chair in the room, so you have to watch the TV while laying in bed, which I do not find comfortable. Also the WiFi was terrible, which is a deal-breaker for me. So, if the WiFi and TV watching is unimportant to you, you will be fine at this hotel.

Online reservations were easy, convenient location for the Concert at the Knitting factory. Parking is limited, but bed was comfortable and a great happy hour at the hotel lounge.

Very good for the price, especially if you're not needing to spend a lot of time in the room. No, it's not the Davenport, but comes at 1/3 of the price. Rooms were very clean and accommodating. Great front end staff too!

My experience at the Ruby Hotel was great! It was located perfectly in downtown and affordable. The staff was beyond professional and generous. The only concern I would mention is that the wifi was not strong.

The hotel was close to the theater and downtown, so we were able to walk to the show and dinner. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. You can hear the trains from the nearby train tracks, but it was not loud enough to interfere with sleep.

Close to downtown shopping and dining. Nice bar inside as well.

We stopped here on a roadtrip throughout the Pacific Northwest and were pleasantly surprised after checking in and seeing how high quality of a room it as for the price. The room was clean, comfortable and included free parking as well as a complimentary continental breakfast. Good choice for Spokane!

This is a motel not a hotel and they do not have enough parking at this location, so we had to park 2 blocks away at their other location and walk (at night in the city) back to our location. Also their breakfast is very limited.

One thing this hotel doesn't say is that there is a Ruby one and a Ruby two. Our friends were at the other hotel which is about a block and a half away.

Had a good experience overall. The room looked nice and well maintained. Wish the staff was more clear on if there was a breakfast at the hotel. Not a lot of parking at Ruby one. Have to park at Ruby 2 and walk over.

the staff at the hotel and bar were very friendly and accomodating. Breakfast was great. We stayed again on our way home it was so enjoyable the first time.

We walked to the Spokane Arena from here. It was a nice walk, mostly through a park. The room was somewhat dated but it was very clean. I had read the reviews and took earplugs. I am glad I did. I probably would not have gotten much sleep without them. There were people hanging outside their rooms smoking and drinking but they were cool enough. We expected this because of the concert. Overall, it was a good experience.

Old motel that has been painted to look more modern. Good location, but musty rooms.

Very clean, housekeeping staff seem to do a very good job. GREAT BEDS,,,very comfy. good linens & bedding & very good pillows. Close to everything downtown. I was in Rm #101 no noise issues at all. Parking lot is a little tight, if it is full, you need some skills to get in and out. Parking lot is locked at night, so a little extra security for your vehicle. The buy one, get one free drink coupon for the Sapphire lounge is a nice touch. Nice Staff, nice place to stay!!!!
