We had a bad start, because the room we reserved-superior room- was below our expectations. We have also found out that the price we paid when we made the reservation is equal for premium rooms. First the front office asked for an extra charge for upgrade, but with the initation of front office manager ( Nena is her name), she upgraded us, sent us a bottle of wine, and made us happy. The sea is quite far away, you need to go downhill to get to the sea, no problem, but coming back is an issue. The open buffet restaurant is agood value, and good choices of dishes. Last point, GM of the hotel should be more respectable for the guests. We were just entering the restaurant he came with two of his staff and without letting us in, cut us, went through. I asked the receptionist at the entrance of the restaurant who he is, and asked her to tell him, what he just did, but she did not have the guts to do so. So we had ups and downs, usually Radisson Blu, of which I am member has excellent service, but everything boils down to personnel and who runs the hotel.
This is a lovely modern hotel with excellent spa facilities. The outdoor pool is too cold to swim in but the large indoor pool is heated although it could do with being a bit warmer. The staff are very friendly & helpful & the breakfast is very good. The buffet evening meal was fine but a bit overpriced as were the drinks in the bar. The bar hardly had anyone in it probably due to the expensive drinks. There is a great cheap bar called the Cox Bar 10 mins walk away down in the bay so that's where we went. The walk into Split from the hotel along the bay is enjoyable but takes 45 minutes walking at a decent pace. We never saw a bus near the hotel so it's either walk or use taxis. I do wonder why the hotel has not finished the huge concrete extension which you pass on your way down to the bay & which you can see from the restaurant & pool areas. It is a grafitti covered eyesore & spoils the area & does not give a good impression.
We were on a road trip around Croatia as a family of 4 and stayed here for 2 nights. We had a 1 bed corner suite on the 6th floor. The weather wasn’t great, but our room And view made up for it. Huge panoramic windows and an amazing view from our bed. It really did have the wow factor.. it was huge. We cold not fault it. The staff were all friendly and the hotel was extremely clean. The breakfast was the best we had whilst in Croatia, lots of choice. The lady on reception in the spa was so friendly, we went to the indoor pool twice as it was raining. The outdoor areas looked nice but we didn’t go outside. We had valet parking 15e a day. Great view from the front, beach just in front of the hotel, but it is not in a touristy area, it’s a residential area, we used Uber when there and it was about £3 to the centre of split. The vibe of the hotel is very modern and is more a business hotel than a family holiday. No lounge area, just a few funky chairs in reception or upmarket bars. It was a lovely hotel, but geared up as more corporate than families.
Radisson Blu staff were great and very welcoming hosts who made my stay even more amazing. Starting from an excellent housekeeping service on the 3rd floor to Goran, Jelena and Bruna at the breakfast buffet to cheerful waiter in an a la carte restaurant whose name I unfortunately forgot. Management must know his name, he is an older gentleman, always smiling and with a great attention to detail. There were more than enough staff during the breakfast who brought their service to perfection. Buffet selection was great - milk options during the breakfast best I've ever seen, different kinds of teas, drinks, cakes, pastries, salami, fruit... faultless. Even hotel toiletries were amazing - they supply every room with This Works products for hair and body that I was hoping to buy somewhere after I got home. It seems that is an exclusive for hotels, as This Works website doesn't offer that line. Oh, and I forgot to mention the views! Hotel rooms and restaurants have beautiful sea views that needs to be mentioned. Thank you Radisson Blu Split!
Radisson blue is at a wonderful location. the new wing with premium rooms with sea view are beautiful and very well done. The old wing is in serious need of an upgrade. It has a lovely spa and service is wonderful. Be sure to visit Trogir too from split.
This hotel is absolutely perfect if you want to get away from everything. It’s quite a way from the old town, but is entirely self sufficient. There’s no need to leave the place... unless you are there for work, like we were! Immaculately clean, good food, lovely staff.
Has all the amenities you want and need and is very close to all the stuff you need to see. (10 min taxi or lovely 45 min walk along the water). Caper is great (with a price to match) but the rest of the food and beverage is about average. You’ll be wowed by the view - and the bill, but that’s what it costs to stay in a hotel this size in a good location during the high season.
We stayed here one night on our trip to Croatia. While this is a modern, clean hotel, it’s character is not particularly enticing. It could just as easily be in any large US city. That having been said, it’s a comfortable and conveniently located hotel with a very nice staff. The breakfast buffet was great.
Overall hotel is very good, but during my stay (two nights) technical service was unable to fix tv programs. The rest of hotel service was fine. Also, hotels bar should work little longer than midnight.
With tempremental weather the free spa was a great bonus. Breakfast was lovely with so much choice, the salmon was lush! The rooms were spacious and the beds comfy. The pool bar staff were attentive and offered us local insights. This hotel is not in the centre but a 30 min walk and your by the harbour at the edge of the old town. If you do chose taxis i would definitely recommend to use Uber one night we took a taxi from the old town 66kn the next night same location with an uber 23kn.
