Hotel Park offers a very high standard of service and features some very pleasant eating and relaxing areas. All staff were extremely pleasant and accommodating. However there were some downsides with the room that we stayed in. It was a mezzanine room and there were some odd design features including having the coffee making machine and kettle located under the stairs behind the television. The fridge was also located there under the bench under the stairs making access very difficult as it was also dark. The design of the narrow room limited areas for two people to relax in and there was only one easy chair. The bathroom downstairs was very well appointed with both a bath and shower however the towel storage and hooks for towels were located very high up on the wall above the toilet and on the back of the door which would make it very hard for short people to reach them. There was an additional toilet upstairs which was convenient but the mezzanine room next door did not have a toilet upstairs as well so it would be good to check when booking in if offered such a room. The buffet breakfast was extensive and coffee was taken as an order once you sat down at your table. The swimming pool attached to the hotel is small but it was not crowded when we were there and plenty of places to relax in the shade . The hotel is located within easy walking distance to the centre of Split and there are a number of cafes and restaurants nearby as well as a popular swimming beach opposite .
Very nice hotel, 7-9 minutes walking from center. Hotel is sitauted in front of the beach. We stayed for a week at this hotel and the room was perfect , well serviced. Breakfast had a nice selection..
We stayed for a week at this hotel and the room was perfect , well serviced , quite efficient air conditioning , roomy , very clean, always fresh towels , fresh water and our suitcases magically arriving ready to be unpacked. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and we when we had a dinner reservation at the marina were taken with no fuss and in luxury. Breakfast was superb such a selection made it difficult to know what to choose each day. Also we had a number of excursions starting early and being able to have breakfast at 6.30 was perfect. The eggs benedict cooked just how I like them and the coffee good quality and served by waiters who could not do enough, they were very jolly in the morning and managed to get a smile from me even though not a morning person! Would highly recommend
Room was great. Breakfast had a nice selection but no freshly squeezed juice. The service was poor - you expect way more from a 5 star hotel which this hotel cannot accommodate - issues such as no luggage service (we had to go back to the reception 1 hour after they said they would bring our luggage to our room) and in particular the service around the pool could be much better. When they messed up in invoicing luckily Ivan took over and saved the day - thanks - him alongside the female staff was the most attentive and top notch. The pool is not that big and it can be nearly impossible to get a lounge chair. It was not worth it paying almost EUR 400 a night but location is great and only 10 minutes walk to the old town.
We stayed at this lovely hotel for two weeks in August 2019 during an exceptionally hot spell of weather. It’s an easy ten minute stroll to the Old Town past the bustling port - it can get a bit busy when the ferries/cruise ships come in but that’s exciting in its way. Breakfast is a delight - l saw a recent review saying that it was limited and l simply can’t agree with that! Yes, things did run out from time to time but were swiftly replaced. There are lots of nice little touches, such as honey on the comb, and other things can be ordered fresh from the kitchen such as omelettes. The staff in the breakfast area deserve a mention too for their polite and unobtrusive attention. We ate in the restaurant in the evening only once and although not cheap, it was worth paying that bit extra. After asking about the preparation of a particular dish the chef himself came out to talk to us and he certainly knows his stuff. Our room was a reasonable size, also with some nice touches (slippers, bathrobes) as you’d expect from a hotel of this calibre. Again, l saw a review saying “faded and dated” but l’d say it’s more in keeping with the overall style - and certainly not “faded”. It’s a very comfortable and quietly elegant hotel to my mind. One thing l would say is that whilst the pool area is lovely, it is small as others have said. There is not much scope/room to move the sunbeds around to either get shade or move them into sunshine as desired (the umbrellas don’t come down because of how they are placed), and there aren’t many in the limited space. Having said that, the service around the very clean pool is lovely: cold towels from time to time as well as poolside service if required. (Sunbeds at the beach opposite are expensive - 200 kuna for two beds and an umbrella.) Our overall positive memory of the hotel is that it’s the staff here that make it so appealing. All the team are very polite and helpful, and really make you feel welcome.
Hotel is very clean, accommodating and should be rated even higher than they show. We found the staff to be helpful, professional and friendly. This was my last stay in Croatia after traveling about and it was a last minute booking. We were pleasantly surprised and would highly recommend a stay there.
We only stayed for one night, but they made sure we had a good one. Beautiful hotel with interesting two floor rooms. The restaurant was very accommodating to all our request for a very late dinner. Great service.
The breakfast was truly delicious and has a great variety. However it was unnecessary to serve a hot latte with a plastic straw. We pointed out that this is not very eco friendly yet we still kept seeing them in people’s hot drinks during our stay. The hotel interior is luxury and after knowing it’s our boyfriends 30th bday they upgraded us and offered a nice bday message with a cake in the room. That’s a very nice gesture. The bed is comfy and we had great sleep. The hotel is a minute from the beach and from the pool you get a good view of the sea. It’s 12 mins walk to the old town. After the first night the room maid took away the soap we had used, but didn’t give us a replacement(?) which is a bit weird and not very thoughtful but I guess people forget things. Overall it was a pleasant stay but I feel some small details can be attended to live up to the five star standard.
A llovely hotel, with a pool but walking distance to the sea front, for swimming and to the historic old town. A good bar, pricy restaurant but very good service. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was on the terrace and very generous.
We have just left the hotel today after 5 nights and are sad to go. We’re a family of 5 and had two great rooms - 413 and 206. The first was a two level rooms with bathroom and lounge downstairs and three beds upstairs (the third bed was a proper bed not a sofa bed which is what my youngest normally gets!). There’s another loo upstairs. Lovely large shuttered windows and Velux blinds upstairs (electrically operated). Our room was a junior suite with separate seating area. I found the bed a tiny bit harder than I’d have liked but my husband loved it. Free nespresso in all rooms plus mineral water. The pool at the hotel is lovely but quite small and there were a couple of times we returned mid to late afternoon to find all the sun beds gone but it’s the height of the high season and there was lots of other comfy shaded seating by the nearby bar and plentiful supplies of towels. Staff were lovely in the breakfast restaurant looking into the terrace and in fact everywhere else in the hotel too. Super helpful concierge who booked great restaurants for us each night. The main hotel restaurant is fine dining so we didn’t try it. The hotel’s just across the road from the beach which was absolutely mobbed when we were here but also has cafes, restaurants and an ATM etc. The hotel’s really well placed for day trips out of Split (we did Cetina River for white water rafting and the Krka National Park) and a 10-15 minute walk into the central part of Split. We had spa treatments, pedicure and waxing which were good (not the best I’ve ever had but good all the same) and the gym is small but serves its purpose. Would definitely recommend and would come back to the Park.
