Awesome

We enjoyed our stay! The house was near other houses, but far enough away that we had our privacy. The dock/swimming area was very nice - easy to launch/dock boat. Michelle was pleasant to deal with, available when needed and checked in with us several times. We would definitely return for future stays.

It’s possible I could have looked more closely at the photos, but overall, we felt the cottage wasn’t quite what we had expected based on the description. We were expecting more of a waterfront experience, and were surprised to find that the cottage not close to the water and you can’t actually see it from the property. The cottage is very rustic, which may be exactly what some guests are looking for. For us, though, there were a few small things that made the cottage feel less prepared and welcoming than we had hoped. There was a musty smell when we arrived, some cobwebs around the deck, the deck could have used a sweep, and we noticed an earwig in the kitchen. The grass around the fire pit also could have used a little attention.None of these things on their own would have been a major issue, but together they contributed to the feeling that the cottage wasn’t quite ready for guests, and unfortunately the overall experience wasn’t what we had been hoping for.Michelle was lovely to deal with and was very pleasant throughout our interactions. She tried to make the stay work for us. We simply found that the property wasn’t the right fit for what we were looking for.If you’re looking for a cozy, very rustic cottage in a quiet setting away from the water, this may be a great option.
