We got a great value at a great rate through hotels.com. Location was safe, with free parking, and next to conveniences like Starbucks. Quiet area and quiet hotel. We had a small kitchenette in our room with stove, full fridge, and microwave. The AC/fan unit didn't work properly, but we made due and stayed relatively comfortable. Room was clean, beds and pillows were comfortable, shower was hot. Internet and TV was fine. Breakfast on the go literally only means a granola bar and coffee though. All in all, I would definitely stay here again, but next time I would bring groceries and utilize the kitchen.
We stayed for one night after a Notre Dame night football game. We were lucky to only have to stay one night as most hotels require 2 nights on football weekends. We booked through hotel.com or something similar, so that might be why we got 1 night only. It was more than $300 for night, which is what you get on football weekends. The room was decent size and clean. The queen size bed was small. They don't put utensils in the room unless you ask for them, which includes glasses. They have a kitchen, but no coffee maker in the room There is a "breakfast bar" which has prewrapped muffins. The coffee was bad and the cream was sweetened. It is a pretty bad breakfast. You do have a kitchen where you can make breakfast if you want to. We went next door to the Marriott Courtyard for breakfast. I like their oatmeal. Breakfast for 2 cost about $20. It was ok. The room was OK. It wasn't loud. The TV did not have Fox Sports network, so we would not have been able to watch the Cubs-Dodgers game in the room if we had left the ND game early. They don't give wake up calls. One table lamp next to the bed was broken.
Don't stay here if you are spending a lot of time in room. Plan to eat breakfast out, including coffee. Breakfast is just granola bars; coffee has powdered creamer. Cheaper stay but you get what you pay for. Unidentified funky smells in hallway on 2nd floor.
My own issue, but I expect more from a hotel. There was no work out room, granola bars and coffee for breakfast and the beds were terribly hard and uncomfortable. We stayed 3 nights and there is no maid service for the entire time. I guess I did not close enough to the details. I am sure it is all loisted. But than again; the hotel is clean., the people are nice. paid $89 a night and also got a 15% discount. Cannot really complain. I would not stay there again on account of the beds. Otherwise, it's ok.
I've never left a review before but the time has come. Killed 2 cockroaches this morning and took them to the front desk-concerned that their family might have shacked up in our luggage overnight. Front desk woman was VERY nonchalant. "Haven't seen any of these before. Will have to call and get that taken care of." Ok.... So. We packed up, went back to the front desk. Same woman. I picked up the GMs business card and asked her if she had brought the cockroaches to 'Brenda's' attention? Her reply--"I AM Brenda". Yes, Brenda the GM that has very poor customer service skills who didn't offer me her card the first time or let me KNOW she's the GM. A simple "I'm sorry you had cockroaches in your room and understand how this would be upsetting for you..." would have been great. Instead I got blank stares and was treated like I was interrupting her Facebook posting time. Room 318 on 8/2/16. But if they don't fumigate the entire hotel, those cockroaches will be in every room.
I travel up to Mishawaka every other weekend and I am always very satisfied with this hotel. The Staff are awesome, the rooms are clean and and when they can, they accommodate me by letting me extend my checkout time a few minutes. With the pressure of having to travel 4 hrs and pack a bunch of stuff, I couldn't be more satisfied with my stays here at Extended Stay America. Also, they are pet friendly and that is a plus!
Rooms are nice and clean. Staff is EXCELLENT and go above and beyond to help in any way possible. I've stayed here several times and I've had a different person at the desk each time but it did not change the service that I received.
Previously when I visited there I was unhappy with my stay and the staff's lack of hospitality. I decided to give it one more chance, I spoke with Kimberly the GSR about the previous stay and she assured me that changes were made. I could definitely see that in their helpfulness, cleanliness, and how helpful she was. The room was clean and smelled fresh. I felt more comfortable this time around.
A very clean comfortable hotel with a very helpful staff. It's located near along the major retail corridor of Mishawaka, and South Bend. It's just a few minutes away from Notre Dame, and close to just about anything you need.
I came on the weekend to visit and found the staff very friendly and helpful. Each time you come in they greet you with a smile! I enjoyed sitting on the back deck reading and enjoying the sun. They front desk was very helpful with suggestions for things to do.
