Friendly staff and very helpful, nice room and kept clean, only thing I’d not recommend is ordering from their bistro if your in a hurry as the same person who works the bistro also runs the front desk and it is obvious that the front desk gets priority over food. They need to staff up during the weekend when groups are here?
Im a marriott platinum so I stay in a lot of Courtyards. Karen in the bistro took great care of me during my visit and her efforts will definitely make me want to return. She got me a coffee way before the bistro opened and then made me a great breakfast sandwich. Thanks Karen!
With Courtyard by Marriot you know what your gettting. Service was friendly and the pull out chair made into a comfortable bed. Location was great for a ND football game and traffic was no problem. There is a Chick-Fila near by.
I was in Mishawaka for work and stayed at the Courtyard South Bend Mishawaka. There is no complementary breakfast or coffee that I could find in the lobby. It was all purchase options. There was a coffee maker in my room though I didn't use it. The room, while saying it was non-smoking, had a distinct smoke smell too it. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was fine. There was nothing majorly wrong with my stay. It was all fine and nothing extraordinary.
I just want to acknowledge Callie who recieved my frantic phone call about a cancelation of a prepaid room that I had reserved. I risked losing almost $800 in reservations due to an unforseeable event that occurred in my family. Callie was kind and compassionate as I shared my issues with her on the phone and expressed empathy. She exhibited the utmost professionalism and courtesy. I'm inclined to believe that she is genuinely a nice person, but had great training by Marriott. Keep up the great work Callie. You are a shining star!!!
It has been a terrible time. I have been here since 11 Sep. If I was not working 13 hour days, I would switch hotels. I came to the hotel today after work. The entrance was closed. I went to the other entrance it was closed. I went around the block 3 times to get into the parking lot. And then I had to park in another hotels parking lot. Pathetic. I am too tired put up with this hotels nonsense. I went to the front desk to complain. No one was there for 5 minutes. Went to my room called the front desk at 7:30, no answer. I let it ring until it stopped twice. No answer. I should have stayed at the Hyatt, I won't make that mistake again. I asked for a King bed and got two queens. Oh well, only 2 more nights and I can get out of here. Don't stay here!!! Other better hotels very close by.
Nice hotel friendly staff and convenient short distance to Notre Dame Stadium. Fun being at a hotel with mostly Georgia fans. Usual high game premiums applied but all college towns do that. Walking distance to many eating establishments and bar and grills. Great weekend!
Two night trip for business. This was my first time staying in Mishawaka, and I haven't stayed at a Courtyard for quite a while. I had no issues while there, so let me give you the good, and then the rest: GOOD: Clean, well maintained, comfortable beds, extremely friendly and helpful staff. Great cable and flat screen television. Quiet, and situated near restaurants and shopping, but still a quiet location. Pool is right near the elevator. You might think this isn't important, but it's nice to be able to go from your floor and not have to traipse through the common area. Ice machines on the upper floor. Bathroom in my room was the two parter, meaning a separate wash and toilet area. Nice for a family. OTHER: No room service. This is a Grab and Go, where you can order from a limited menu, and then go down and pick it up. So, if you prefer staying in your room and having it delivered, just be aware. If you want delivery to your room, there are the usual suspects, e.g., Jimmy John's, pizza, etc. OVERALL: A good experience. This isn't a chain I usually stay at in my travels, but I'd stay at this hotel again.
Treated terribly by hotel staff. Left sitting in hotel lobby at midnight for and hour and half one night because the door lock was broken and we were locked out, and so were they. They had no idea what to do. Called for help by other hotel. Told us when asked what was going on..."we can't hurry them". Finally got in with some hook and string contraption. Said they fixed it the next day. Next night same thing happened. Sat in lobby again while they ran around. Never fixed it or moved us to another room. We were held captive by our room. We couldn't go in and out at will. They didn't seem to really care. And to add to it the cleaning was less than adequate...no supply refills every night and bathroom cleaning was missed all together. This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Don't be fooled by the "Marriott" name. Book somewhere else.
I was here for just a night on business. It's a typical Courtyard, well maintained, clean, etc. Front desk staff was great! Expedient, fast check-in but helpful and courteous. The hotel is actually very quiet. Very clean, and internet was nice and speedy. I usually like breakfast at the Bistro, but did not eat at this one. However, I did have them make me an Americano at the Starbucks and she did a great job. LOTS of things nearby this hotel.
