Have been here a few times and this is my forth visit would say I enjoyed it as I love peace and quiet which is why I go here button this visit it was far from that lots of children screaming and animation too not why I come to these apartments....the pool area not clean meant to shower before swimming slightly difficult when it doesn't work the cleaners chuck there dirty water down the drain with fag buts... no coffee shop to have a coffee....sorry but feel I won't visit again

I stay here at La Dous about 4 or 5 times a year and would never go anywhere else. I have both friends and family nearby and know many other places I could stay, but La Dous is it for me. Gorgeous complex with spotlessly clean, fully equipped apartments (always a plus for someone with OCD!) The grounds, pools and jacuzzi are also kept immaculate, just beautiful. Hayley (the lovely English lady managing the apartments) always looks after us. We rarely need anything, but if we do, she's either on site or just a phone call away. Even during the recent water shortage in Tunisia, which wasn't really a huge problem for us in the end, Hayley was there with either updates, plans or a bucket, and she also made sure we knew about it before we came, so we had the option to cancel if we wanted. No real issue at all. Other people, from the manager, security guys, cleaners and gardeners are all lovely too. We often go to the cafe at the front, the owner can't do enough for you, and walk down to the shops in a couple of mins for anything we need. The beach is literally on your doorstep, but it's hard to take yourself away from the pools and gardens! 100% recommend, although maybe don't tell too many people!

I've been in these apptments 7times now in fact going again 23aug 2016 for 19 days Can't wait to go, spotless app if you've forgotten anything Hayley will be only to Pleased to help , I wouldn't go any other place stay now, the security next to none Hayley very friendly lady from England so knows us fussy English

We have just returned home after a week in this complex, room f26/27. We were concerned initially about the water shortage across the whole of this area as we were travelling with our 18 month old daughter. Everything went smoothly, we were given plenty of warning before arrival of the water issues and felt that it was handled fantastically. Hayley was a great help too and replied to our questions in a speedily fashion. Overall, we had a great holiday. Location was perfect for the beach (just 100metres!) taxis were just a short walk and reasonable priced with local shops close by for bread, milk, water etc. Apartment was lovely and clean with everything required for our cooking needs. We will definitely be booking again for next year!!

I stayed at room F28/29 at the Dunes resort for 8 nights during August as a group of 4 friends. Overall we really enjoyed our stay here, it was clean, in a convenient location and has a lovely balcony view of the pool. If you are travelling to this area at this time of year it is important to bare in mind that due to the drought in Tunisia, water can be limited on some days. At the Dunes resort there is no water from around 11pm-6am which was a huge disadvantage, but buckets are provided to save water. The biggest advantage of this resort is most definitely the kitchen area whereby cooking facilities were provided including a toaster, saucepan, utensils and microwave. Although the gone off food found in the microwave was a big disappointment. Hayley was available at all times via phone and is great to go to with advice for local information such as taxis and attractions. Wifi is overpriced considering the limited use for it. We paid 30 dinars for wifi (for a week), which was set up 2 days into our stay and was unfortunately limited. Meaning roughly 2gb per day, so no videos could be watched. The only use for the wifi was whatsapp. The very clean pool consists of a shallow area, deep area and jacuzzi. It does tend to get very packed our during the day with children. The sunbeds cost around 3-5 dinars however there are sofa chairs which are free but rarely available. I would bare in mind that this resort is very family orientated, although it's nice to feel a sense of community in the evenings where everyone sits by the pool and drinks tea. It can however get quite loud, particularly with children early in the morning and late at night (quietens down around 1am). The location of this resort is very good with the local beach being a 2 minute walk. A yellow taxi to Sousse costs around 6dinars and to Port Et Kantaoui beach 4 dinars. There is a local corner shop whereby essentials such as water, milk, break and veg can be purchased.

Staying here with my partner and little boy who's 2 years old. This is absolutely fantastic. We prefer self catering holidays as we can do what we want, when we want! The pool is heavenly with a shallow part for little ones. There is a Jacuzzi as well. The pool isn't heated but it's still lovely given that the temp here is in the 30's. There is a really nice English woman called Hayley who is our go to if we have any issues, only problem we've had so far is my son weeing on the bedding. Hayley came and sorted it straight away! The apartment we're in is a studio apartment, it's nicely furnished and spotlessly clean. I would definitely recommend a holiday here

my first trip to Tunisia in the incredible heat of high summer. I stayed at The Dunes residence, and was very happy with my choice. Although busier than I remember, the atmosphere around the pool was friendly and enjoyable. The staff on site were very helpful, despite the day to day managing of the countrywide water shortage that on occasion disrupted supplies. The pool was gorgeous, clean, and well looked after, as was the adjacent Jacuzzi. my apartment was well equipped and very clean, making my stay a happy one. Thank you to all the staff there for looking after me....I will be back soon

We booked 3 apartments ( 1 bed, 2 bed and 3 bed) for 2 weeks through the website. Dave Collerton was fantastic in helping us with our booking. If you arrive on a Sunday be aware it is so difficult to exchange money. Try to get enough to get you through to the next day wherever you can even the airport kiosk was closed when we arrived. Hayley who was invaluable to us exchanged what she had so we could try and get some money at a nearby hotel. The apartments were beautiful, they were decorated beautifully. They had everything we wanted. Our main bedroom in our 3 bed apartment was huge I cannot express our delight enough. The pools were fantastic we did not bother with the beach. We did put down our towels in the mornings as there was 9 of us to house and it was quite busy But we always used them without them being left for hours. We did not pay for WiFi as it seemed far too expensive for each week. The cafe/restaurant was far from satisfactory, they did not have certain food on the menu and instead of telling us they gave alternatives that we did not want. One day we had to wait for the rolls to be bought from another shop. The crepes were lovely and the children enjoyed the milkshakes. We found the food too samey and with not many options so we made breakfast in the apartment or from the bakery just down the road. There is not much places to eat in the nearby vicinity but if you are willing to travel you will find other food outlets. All in all the apartments could not be faulted they are wonderful exactly like the pictures.

I rarely visit Tunisia in Ramadan, my favourite eating places tend to be closed for the whole month, and i cant get my usual bottle or two of the rather good Tunisian red. However, with what happened recently, i felt that i should come out and support the people that always look after me so well. The Dunes, as always is a delightful place to stay. With the place so quiet, the pool was pretty much mine and mine alone :) Being a private residence, the security of a manned, locked gate is an obvious advantage, although in saying that, i have never been worried about my safety in Tunisia. The police and army activity is noticeably increased, but the atmosphere is still very warm and cordial. Again, the lovely Hayley, was on hand to help, even though im somewhat of a regular here. I did opt for her wifi service though. I had a wondeful time, as usual, and will return again shortly, when hopefully things within the media are a little less sensationalist.

My boyfriend and I stayed in F28/29 for 9 nights in July. Our apartment location was fantastic, ground floor right outside the pool. It was a very spacious one bedroom apartment with 2 balconies fully fitted out. The complex was not yet complete however the swimming pool was immaculately finished as was the apartments and the surrounding areas. There is a cafe on site with more shops and a restaurant to come also an indoor spa. We went on a short trip to swim with dolphins thanks to Sammi the lovely taxi man who was recommended by Hayley on site. There are shops not too far away to buy food which we did most days. Overall the weather was fantastic, such a relaxing and friendly atmosphere. We both thoroughly enjoyed it and would definately go again. Excellent value for money.
