Our room was very nice. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. Payton Behrend, our wonderful guest service agent, was particularly helpful. There was a large school group staying in the hotel and they kindly placed us in a location where, if the students were a little noisy, we never knew it. We travel to Sioux Falls several times each year and we will definitely stay here on our next visit!
Room was very nice and clean. Manager's special was pleasant and well staffed. Overall, the staff throughout our stay was very attentive. The hotel was a little difficult to get to because the street was being worked on but once there we were very satisfied.
Stopped on trip, was tired from a day of driving. Was greeted by a smiling face. Staff was wonderful. They were very accommodating as we were traveling with our dog. The hotel was very clean. We enjoyed their mixer with various desert items. Would definitely recommend.
I have stayed here for four weeks, with two breaks of a weekend. I let the front desk know my request of no 1st floor. I checked in last night and guess where I am? They told me they were sold out and couldn't move me. Went back to purchase something and the desk clerk said they found a room, no wait can't move me she doesn't have the code. Tomorrow they will move me. I check with the front desk in the afternoon, he knows nothing about it!!! And they are sold out Doesn't offer to help find the room that was available last night and doesn't help with anything. It is up to me to check with the person working the desk in the morning!! Really?! Rooms haven't been cleaned well, staff is rude during the mixers, now this. Very, very frustrated. BTW I am here for three weeks.
I'm once again appreciative of the hospitality received at a Residence Inn. I have yet to stay at any Residence Inn and have a bad experience. We always appreciate the ability to bring our dogs with us and not have to stay at a sub-par location. We were greeted and helped by a sweet front desk staff member and also appreciated the extra help by the dining staff member during the managers happy hour. Our room was updated, however the rest of the hotel is in need of some updating. It didn't affect our stay really, just cosmetic. Will stay again if we find ourselves in Sioux Falls again!
I stayed one night on a business trip. The staff was friendly and my room was clean and comfortable. The property is near a mall, so there are plenty of food options. The free breakfast in the morning is about what you would expect. The only negative was that it felt old--a small elevator and floor halls that creaked as you walk along, though the rooms seemed newer.
This place is neat and rather new looking. We are gold status and they had us upgraded by the time we arrived. That always make you feel better that they were one step ahead - not all of them are, that's for sure. The food that was available when we arrived didn't appeal to us as it was cheese and chips. The employees are pleasant and ready to help if needed. We ate the typical b'fast fare - appreciated the healthier options with fruit available. Do not like the yogurt brand - wish Marriott would look into changing that.
We stayed on the lower floor. It was nice that we were close to the back door so we didn't have to haul our luggage too far. The room was very clean and very comfortable. It had everything someone would need. There was a nice variety of food and drink at the market in the lobby. Although it was close to the interstate, we really didn't hear it. The only problem we had was that the people on the floor above us were very noisy and walked around all night. It was very annoying and we weren't able to get to sleep very easily. We understand this is not the hotels fault and would chose to stay on the top floor next time. Our tub also didn't drain very fast but it was not to big of an issue for us to say anything. The breakfast buffet in the morning going was magnificent! A nice variety of choices! And it was filled and clean! The pool and spa were well kept and the temperatures were great too! Great front desk staff and a shoutout to Doug in maintenence for helping us out! Thank you for a great stay on our Anniversary!
Our team from Omaha came for the weekend and had a great stay. The young gentleman who checked us in went above and beyond to secure roll away beds for multiple rooms. He was always doing something to help guests. Tami the woman in charge of breakfasts made sure to always have plenty of food available as well as coffee, etc. all were very friendly and helpful.
I am very sad to say that I had a very disappointed stay at this hotel.. We stayed one nigh, and I left a very expensive Eco Citizen watch on a night stand by accident of coarse. When I got home and noticed I had forgotten it, I called the hotel and it took three times of me calling throughout the day for a manager to get back to me.... She told me they were unable to find the watch, really it was left on the night stand! I asked if it was possible someone of their staff could have taken it, she said it was a young man who cleaned the room I stayed in and he would have no idea what to do with an expensive watch 🤔 It is very sad and disheartening that people can't be more honest and helpful... Needless to say I will never be making a return visit to this hotel.
