This hotel is old and charming. From the friendliness of the staff, to the location, cleanliness, to the comfort of the bed, our stay was absolutely perfect. We unfortunately had to leave early due to an emergency at home, but this stay left us wanting more. We will be back.
We were a little surprised to be located on a farm, but our stay was pleasant. It was a little out of town on narrow roads, but the room was very comfortable. Breakfast was good. We had developed colds which concerned us, and the proprietor gave us a good recommendation about where to go to get checked. Enjoyable.
stopping off for a day and decided to stay here, away from the city and close to the motorways. little difficult to find the right road to get to the place, located close to a big roundabout. pleasant stay, free parking!!! love that!
Wish we could have stayed longer! Our room had been modernized, separate tub and shower and the floor was heated! We were provided a small bottle of milk in a small bucket of ice at check-in for the tea/coffee supplied in our room - a very nice touch. The bed was very comfortable and the room a fair size. The hotel was very comfortable and food exceptional! All the staff were very friendly and helpful - even Alfie the dog! The gardens were beautiful! Cows and a horse were seen in adjoining properties. We were told the nearby church had Knights buried there, but unfortunately did not have time to stop and visit.
