Spacious rooms, helpful staff, great location, and excellent value. There's a good pub (the Bear) and French Bistro (Bistro Pierre) downstairs. They were in the middle of some renovations while we were there, which is understandable, but the disruption was minimal.

Some construction work was going on during this stay, but it was well managed and did not disturb us. Staff are always very welcoming and helpful. Bar facilities are really good and the residents’ discount makes the Bear one of the best value bar/restaurants in Stratford.

The location of the hotel is perfect for anyone visiting the Royal Shakespeare theatre, or wanting to visit Stratford upon Avon. Located just by the river, it is walking distance to the town and it is a beautiful walk. The staff are brilliant and even when there was a small issue with our room, it was sorted out immediately. We've stayed here multiple times for the theatre and will stay again.

A very old house, first we were given a terrible room and the nice receptionist was kind enough and changed our room. The position ia very for visiting, but the rooms would need a renovation, considering the price.
