Stain on carpet and not clean. Not a family place full of plant workers. The breakfast was a honeybun and applesauce in a bag.

I booked a king suite. 1st room she gave me was a double. 2nd room was a king no sofa. 3rd was a king suite but the fold out couch was broken. My daugter was folded like a taco. My daughter ended up sleeping in chair because i wasnt going to change rooms a 4th time. Housekeeping left a note it was cleaned but the carpet was never swept. It was dirty. Ants in the desk. Never staying there again

I am certain that Fred Flintstone slept on a bed that was softer. The a/c fan sounded as if it had a bearing going out, made a horrendous noise all night, tried to sleep with our fan and room was insuffurable. Room also had a damp musty smell to it

I arrived three hours before check-in and was told there was no problem. My puppy was excited never having been to a hotel and the staff greeted her and adored her making her comfortable. This is an older hotel, so while everything works, it is showing its age. If you understand this going in, you will have a pleasing stay. The wifi works, the breakfast was better than many continental breakfasts out there. I can't emphasize enough how pleased we were. If you have a pet and need a hotel, La Quinta is the chain for you. If you are collecting someone from DFW, the branch in Sherman is the perfect distance for an easy drive into and back out of Dallas. My only rating under excellent is for faciliities, which as mentioned are well kept, just older and in need of an update.

Room was fine--clean and comfortable. Breakfast was skimpy--only negative of our stay.

Good hotel but bathroom door did not have lock from inside. The kind of door stopper also found not working. However good hotel.

Stayed there for one night and the room was so cozy! I had the best sleep.

Quiet. Comfortable beds. Located next to varies eateries. Stayed only one night one my trip south.

We were just passing through for the night from Houston on our way to Kansas City, this was an ideal location right off the freeway to pull off and stay for the night.

The hotel was near my family's house and very convenient. Staff were very friendly and accomodating.

WE GOT TO THE HOTEL ABOUT 10:00AM WE ASK THE FRONT DESK WAS THE ROOM READY AND SHE SAID NO NOT BEFORE 3 PM THAT WAS OK BUT WHEN WE GOT BACK AT 330PM THE ROOM WAS NOT READY . BAD BUSINESS WAS NOT HAPPY

My stay at The la Quinta in Sherman texas was a pleasant experience. Got to the hotel a little early then planed and they let me check in early. The staff was pleasant and willing to go the extra mile to make you and your pet feel welcome. The room was clean, and the hotel is set in a good location lots of places to eat and things to do close by. Will definitely be using this hotel again

great room for the price I will stay there again. clean, reasonable, great restaurants very close

Love the location and the staff was very friendly. Would definitely recommend this place to others and would stay again.

We were placed in a handicapped accessible room, which is fine, but shower was hard to work, refrigerator not working, ice machine on our floor not working.

Some sites seem to list handicapped rooms first and this can lead to us giving a room based on that not what the customer might have really desired.

I arrived three hours before check-in and was told there was no problem. My puppy was excited never having been to a hotel and the staff greeted her and adored her making her comfortable. This is an older hotel, so while everything works, it is showing its age. If you understand this going in, you will have a pleasing stay. The wifi works, the breakfast was better than many continental breakfasts out there. I can't emphasize enough how pleased we were. If you have a pet and need a hotel, La Quinta is the chain for you. If you are collecting someone from DFW, the branch in Sherman is the perfect distance for an easy drive into and back out of Dallas. My only rating under excellent is for faciliities, which as mentioned are well kept, just older and in need of an update.
