I went to The Social Restaurant in the St. Regis Hotel a couple of weeks ago and have been dreaming of it since. It was an absolutely beautiful experience. My friends and I were greeted by pleasant, smiling staff who showed us to our table over looking the spectacular skyline of Shenzhen and Hong Kong. This is truly breathtaking especially at nighttime. The manager, a bubbly, friendly guy, personally showed us around the buffet. The variety of food is excellent and there is certainly something for all tastes, be it Japanese, Italian, Chinese or Simple Western. The ingredients for each countries cuisine is specifically imported from that country, so we get the genuine tastes and flavours from around the world. The presentation of the food was excellent. After filling our plates with beautiful breads, cheeses and meats, we returned to our seats where our drinks were waiting along with complimentary oysters and mussels. They were delicious!! Going back to the buffet for seconds, there was so much to choose from. Freshly baked salmon Wellington, roast beef, succulent duck.... The list is endless. Again, on returning to our seats, juicy marinated lamb chops and sliced steak was waiting at the table for us, as well as a drink too up. After eating as much as we thought we possibly could, the manager reminded us of the fanatastc desserts available. The chocolate fountain, both milk and white chocolate, automatically made some room. The entire experience from start to finish was of the highest quality and a real treat. The outstanding food and stunning views paired with the exceptional service and attentive, friendly staff made this one of my most memorable times in Shenzhen. I can't wait to return. Thank you to everyone at the St. Regis for this wonderful culinary experience. You really have a fantastic team at the Social Restaurant.
My stay at the St Regis,... it's jus amazing! Reception is as usual very welcoming. Views from my room is amazingly awesome! On the clear day, u can see many miles of the city, and the mountains view across the border of Hong Kong. Room is clean, neat, spacious and comfortable which is what I need when back from the tiring work. Food at breakfast,.. plenty of varieties & selections. Services there are just excellent. Staffs are really friendly, smiley & courteous! It will be a page full of names, but just to name a few, Emilio, Leo Yuki, Paul, Tom, Renuard, Jessica, April, Penny, Monica, Jesse, Janice, Paris...and many more. Even the interns, they are pretty well trained, I saw them the first day at work & they seemed they had been there a long time already after a couple of days. They are excellent. And guess what, they remembered your name, & even my egg preferences. After a long day at work,.. took the elevator to the 100th floor lounge. Happy hours for the Platinum status is really nice,... There, I can enjoy the fantastic night views, light snacks, beers, wine, brandy, cocktails etc,...fabulous place for me to finish my daily reports, meet friends & to chill. Staffs there too are super friendly, courteous & attentive, that's what I need cheerful happy faces. Thanks to Laura, Kelly, Yolanda, Yesica, and Amy.... 😎👍
The St. Regis is one of the best hotels I have stayed at. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is excellent. The view is awesome!!! I would recommend anyone traveling to Shenzhen to stay at St. Regis
The Social restaurant is on the 95th floor of the St. Regis Hotel. I went there with a group of friends last week. We had a truly enjoyable evening and I would highly recommend a visit. Firstly, I was very impressed with the breathtaking views right at our table. When the clouds cleared we could see the beautiful Shenzhen-Hong Kong border. Our server, Amber greeted us with a warm smile and explained the layout of the buffet and the origins of the various types of food. The restaurant imports food from a range of different countries to ensure world class variety and flavour. Among my favourites were the cheese baked oysters, oven roasted vegetables, fresh salmon and Peking duck rolls. And then there is dessert... As a chocolate lover, I was actually ecstatic when I saw the chocolate fountain; marshmallows, biscuit or meringue on a stick waiting to be dunked in flowing brown or white chocolate. I also loved the ice-cream, the flavour was high quality. At the St. Regis, the food, the service and the setting combine to provide an evening that is one to remember.
A few things I will keep in mind after my business trip from last month. 1. The amazing view from the lobby! What a start of my stay. 2. The bulter service provided in the hotel. They made me feel so welcome and helped me with all my needs throughout my stay. Proactive thinking and his attention to detail make me remember butler Louis. Awesome guy! 3. One evening had drinks in the bar, and funny enough got a Pepsi coke bottle and a Coca cola glass. Strange but funny, I asked a rosehip and pepermint tea. I believe the chinese guy just didnt understand my British english accent! But good recovery from the chinese chap, as he offered us the tea!
Last week my friends and I went to the 95th floor of the St. Regis Shenzhen and to say we were treated like royalty would be an understatement. I have been to similar style restaurants in Sydney and KL but this is by far my favourite. Our table was situated beside the window with stunning nightime views of the Shenzhen Hong Kong Border. The buffet variety was amazing with a lot of western and asian food choices. We began with options such as freshly cooked breads, imported cheeses, salads and freshly made sushi. My favourite dishes were the oysters and the melt in your mouth rib eye beef. Table service was also second to none as our attentive waitress Amber regularly brought freshly cooked oysters, steaks and Norwegian salmon to the table while also topping up our wine glasses. To everyones delight there was also an array of dessert options such as chocolate fountains and an ice cream stand. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening here and I would highly recommend a visit to this well run establishment. The restaurant undoubtedly caters for everyones taste and with service and atmosphere to match you will not be disappointed!!!
I came to have a 24 hour holiday. I checked in at 5pm and checked out at 4pm next day as Hotel manager gave me a late check out. He listened to me why i came to spend a day and have a complete holiday. I loved every minute and completely refreshed after this 24 hours which felt like 1 week. It was like going to Heaven. Thanks !
Last Saturday my girlfriend and i visited Social, the restaurant on the 95th floor of the St. Regis, Shenzhen. What an evening we had!!!! How much great food can one man eat!! Everything was fantastic, especially the lamb Teppanyaki by Chef Yuki, which was cooked to perfection, and the sushi and sashimi which was incredibly fresh. I also tried fresh Oysters for the first time and loved them. There is a great mix of Western and Asian cuisine, which caters for every tastebud. The manager Ruairi was a delight throughout the evening, and really went the extra mile to make our evening enjoyable. The bar on the 96th floor was the perfect location for an after dinner drink, with the same stunning views and wonderful service as the restaurant. We will definitely be back soon!
My boyfriend and i headed to Social restaurant on the 95th at the St. Regis to celebrate a recent promotion at work. Having heard such wonderful things about it from a couple of friends of ours, we decided it would be the perfect opportunity to visit. We were not disappointed!! Upon arrival we were shown to our table which was located right next to the window, with spectacular views of the city. Our server Winnie was very attentive and helpful, she showed us around the buffet bars, giving recommendations of her favourite dishes to try, and always making sure our drinks were topped up! The manager Ruairi brought over plates of lobster and teppanyaki and was really friendly and a pleasure to chat to! The lobster was a definite favourite as well as the duck rolls which we couldn’t get enough of! The selection of cheeses and cold cuts were also fantastic- its so hard to find good cheese in china so we really enjoyed them. After dinner we decided to have a drink at the bar on the 96th floor, which was really lovely and relaxed after eating such an enormous meal! The bar boasts the same views as the restaurant but this time we chose to sit facing Hong Kong. The cocktails were delicious and again the service was impeccable! We can’t wait to come back, and will definitely be back a lot sooner than the next special occasion! Can’t recommend it enough!!
Let me start off by saying the St Regis Social restaurant is a special place! We had a great experience from the moment before we stepped into the KK 100 building. The building itself is awe inspiring architecture.. a huge skyscraper that towers magnificently into the Shenzhen night. Stepping into the hotel we were greeted by friendly and attentive staff who helped us with our dinner reservation. Showed us to the elevator and pushed the 96th floor button!! Even the elevator oozed class and raised the anticipation and excitement for what was to come! Exiting on the 96th floor you instantly are struck with the huge panoramic windows showcasing the sprawling lights of beautiful Shenzhen. The views are stunningly beautiful and totally unrestricted. We were met by Rory the Social restaurant manager. Who welcomed us with a big smile and enthusiasm, he showed us to our table, a lovely window seat quietly away in the corner. He then showed us around the restaurant explaining the setup, the different food stations and most importantly where to get the ice cream! The food is absolutely second to none, an amazing variety or Chinese and western dishes. The Social is a buffet style restaurant but this isn't your normal hotel buffet I can assure you! We started with the freshest bread, cheese and some salad. Then came the teppinyaki lobster, NZ lamb and the perfectly cooked steak. Followed by freshly made sushi prepared in front of our eyes. The wine accompanying our meal was free flowing and was always topped up properly by the attentive and friendly staff. Sufficiently stuffed with magnificent fare we went to my favourite part... the chocolate fountain... with milk chocolate and white chocolate eloquently and mesmerisingly flowing through an intricate contraption to the sweet pool of chocolate goodness below! The dessert selection was vast and amazing, and presented in a way that egged you on to try as much as possible! After our meal and feeling very content and satisfied we were shown upstairs to the bar, once again in beautiful and elegant surroundings we were waited on like VIP's while our espresso martinis were prepared. The perfect end to a perfect night drinking some fine liquor, soaking in the views of the vibrant city below. All in all a 5 star experience, in the most beautiful and serene surroundings, all made better by excellent staff and the highest quality of food you will find in Shenzhen!
