When we check in with front desk staff Jamie , she had friendly smile and efficiently , let you feeling home sweet home! After check in , AFOM Yuki was greet us and wish me happy birthday , I’m appreciated your help and your sparkling wine. All the staff in hotel were very nice service belong 5 star hotel , Room was big pool was beautiful, I hope will stay with you guys soon !!

I stayed this hotel on jan, on that night was fine. However, l told the staff i booked the room on my birthday trip on feb and tried to requested upgrade the room, and they told me can not oe need to pay extra....UNBELIEVABLE. Then i booked the room on JW hotel and they can upgrade my room to suite without extra. As one of your hotel member, i never back and stay your hotel.

I came for business trip with my boss and we stayed at Shenzhen InterContinental hotel. Staff was very nice, very friendly, good service .The rooms were very nice and clean ,I had a pool view which was amazing . Not forgetting the breakfast was really good. So much food to eat. Big buffet opened for breakfast, lunch and dinner .Thanks to Christy the receptionist for giving us good recommendations for sight seeing etc. We had such a good time other than just business . My boss is the the one who first told me about Intercontinetal and it’s big pirate ship on the 3rd floor’s just a pity it is no longer a restaurant. We look forward to our next stay at ic Shenzhen .

Modern new great service great location for the Hirsch district. Excellent breakfast buffet. Very good restaurants on premise and even good unblocked internet service. Highly recommended for leisure and business

I had a 4 day business trip to Shenzhen and brought my wife and 3 year old so I wouldn’t need to return to an empty room at the end of each day. Wife and son enjoyed this hotel so much, that we extended our stay so Daddy could play as well. For the business traveller, my room had a large desk and plenty of space to work. Internet was quick and my VPN connected without any problems. I do have a lot of devices (laptop, phone, Ipad etc.) so perhaps one extra electrical socket would have been nice, but I’m being picky. The business lounge on the 7th floor was excellent though usually very busy. It is a place for meetings and light snacks. Staff were faultless, particularly Annie and Austin who looked after my family very well when I was away. Certainly recommend upgrading to club lounge access if you can. For the family traveller, the hotel is very suitable for young kids. My toddler had a ball with the private beach, the two large pirate ships, the playground, feeding the fish and the many green walks. We came in winter and I imagine summer would be even more fun with the water playground operational. The breakfast buffet ‘Mercado’ restaurant has a childen’s activity center and a large fish pond outside to keep young one’s entertained. Hotel kocation is great for both work and play. It’s next door to the ‘Splendid China’ attraction and a metro is just outside the door which can get you to malls, harbour walks and hiking paths. Taxis were easy to get and it took me 15 minutes to get to the heart of the Central Business District for work. The one downside was that one day, a guest in a nearby room started smoking (in a non-smoking room) and the smoke came into our room. Of course, you can’t fault the hotel for annoying guests. To the hotel’s credit, within 15 minutes they came to give my room a thorough clean and install a BlueAir filter which helped a lot. My 3 year old summed up our feelings about this hotel when he said we should stay “for a million years”. Strongly recommended and will certainly be coming back.

Beautiful Christmas decorations in the hotel and wonderful service from the staff. The environment is also nice and clean. Furthermore I loved the experience throughout and I definitely plan to return soon!

Intercontinental Shenzhen is one of the best hotel in Shenzhen. It is accessible by Metro as well. Station name OCT. It has big rooms with a work desk. Overall in China, internet access is an issue. So you may find internet issues. Pros: Big, nice rooms. Most of the rooms has good views of garden or swimming pool Very big pool Efficient staff (most of them speak English) Good breakfast and spread Nice sleep Nice restaurants inside Cons: At times, it may be very expensive for the similar category room Travel desk closed on Sunday Renovation is going on, so some noise issues sometimes

I really loved the resort-style grounds at this Intercontinental. I stayed twice (in Nov-December 2017) - the first time I had a room with a gorgeous view over the pool and fake pirate ship (which kids would love). Their gardening staff clearly stay busy - the lush grounds are superb. The staff was really welcoming and I got shown to my room by an energetic French management trainee who gave good recommendations about the in-house amenities. It was neat to see they have staff from all over the world, that's a great credit to management and helps people feel welcome when there's someone from your culture there to help. The rooms are huge and with the most over the top bathroom I've ever experienced. The one quibble is that I found the airconditioning didn't always keep up and never met the set point of 21 C, it was always 23 or warmer. While that was not horrible, for people who like it cool it wasn't as comfortable as it could have been. On the restaurant side, the choice and quality was excellent overall. The Spanish bar was under renovation while I was there, so the only place to get a drink was the open lounge, but it was quite nice with pretty, attentive hostesses and frequently had live music. At the Thai/Asian restaurant, I ate solo during a non-busy time and felt a bit uncomfortable with multiple staff staring at me while eating, in case I needed anything. If the restaurant isn't busy, extra staff should retire out of sight, it only takes 1 or 2 waiters to watch out for guests who have requests. It made me feel uncomfortable and next time I just used room service. But the food was superb - and the breakfast buffet, which I only indulged in once, was the most sumptuous I could ever imagine. Even if I don't stay in this hotel in my next Shenzhen trip, I might stop by for breakfast! What a feast.

Had a fantastic stay with my better half. We were just passing through Shenzhen and chose to stay at the Intercontinental because it was positioned in a great area and for a 5 star hotel was really good value. When we arrived it was really great to see they had Christmas decorations up, it can be quite hard to get into the Christmas spirit when in Asia so that was a big thumbs up from me and my girlfriend. When we went to check in we were met with some lovely smiles, all the staff were really helpful and we were up to our room in no time. Our first night we ate in the hotels Brazilian restaurant, the food was excellent. We then enjoyed a couple of drinks while enjoying the entertainment, which was very good; not at all cheesy which can often be the case. The second night we went out and were given some great recommendations. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone going to Shenzhen. If we happen to be in Shenzhen there is only one place we will be staying and that's the Intercontinental!

Luxurious hotel in Shenzhen but unfortunately I didn’t have time to enjoy it further. Just a quick fly in fly out type of trip again. Hotel is really high class one with clean and big rooms. Especially I enjoyed good bed where you had enough pillows. Also the bathroom was nice with good shower and big bath tub for relaxation if you wish.
