Room is clean and tidy. English communication is limited. Hotel restaurant is HK style. Good points: 1. very close to HK and can stay in this hotel and visit HK during the day. (half the price of HK hotel) 2. Professional spa and massage in the same building and not part of the hotel 3. Eatable restaurant 4. Close to the main Shenzhen shopping area (5-10mins walk) Bad points: 1. walking from the border to the hotel is not cleared. (2 route found, a. use the underground walkway to the end and then turn right to get the the main street where the hotel is. b) from the border exit, go the the taxi rank and there is a slip road to reach the main street where the hotel is (half the distance but will have to walk along the slip road: most of the chinese is using this route).
Very close to the border with HK (Exit E2), use the underground foot path to get out at E2 (feel more safe and less chance of smuggling if you walk across the surface park). The hotel is relatively clean and gives you clean towels everyday. Room supervisor will check the room cleanliness every late afternoon (and prepare your bed). Restaurant do good HK style food and family set meal (for 2-3) is good value (GBP15) for 4 main dishes with rice and soup. Most of all, you can order your good value gadgets online and have them deliver to the hotel (NO delivery charge as it is inside China). You may need to get a phone card to give a contact number when ordering.
This hotel is situated at Luo HU at a walkable distance to railway station, MTR and shoping center. Hotel has very good guest rooms offering at a very competitive price. I usually stay at this hotel whenever travels for a business trip. Single room is quite good with all the facilities. Once single room was not available so I stayed in a double room. The wall between bathroom and guest room is made up of translucent glass so it could be little awkward if you are sharing the room. since I was staying alone so did not have any problem. Breakfast is not so good. Overall hotel is value for money.
This hotel is definitely cheaper and if you dont mind staying in a 3stars hotel. However i dont know why the toilet is really smelly. Smells like pee. I guess its their sewerage problem. This hotel even provide condom for you, hahaha! Their restaurant's food are so-so only. Oh! Be sure to go to the 5th floor (Lobby), the hotel is a lil bit far from mrt, so u need to walk to the station.
Bad staff, receptionist do not know english at all.. The breakfast is bad taste nearly inedible. Poor internet connection. However the room is clean and quite comfortable. The bathroom is quite spacious. The card key to hotel room sometimes error.
I stayed many times over 3 years. This place is good for a night or two as long as you dont need a good breakfast and internet. Manager Ms. Li presents with an insincere smile, no matter your complaints, She does not apparently have powere to fix anything, nor control over staff. Staff have no empowerment and no apparent accountability, but some are delightful in personality. Example is Tom, a long-term concierge who will do anything for you.. Room Air-Con is excellent to combat high temp and humidity. Internet is ridiculously bad! The TV system is Wi-Fi which takes incredible bandwidth. Idle employees download movies, which adds insuult to injury. So it is impossible to get even basic internet beyond email. Staff do not try at all to remedy this. So, expect to take your laptop accross to Shangri'La, or cross border to Hong Kong. It is a sort of like / dislike for me... convenient yet quite annoying.
Hotel is located very near to luohu commercial city and to the luohu metro station. A 20 minutes walk brings you to dongmen pedestrian shopping street. Breakfast is good. Wifi available in rooms, but a bit slow. AC does not work - always stay at 27degrees.
I was stay at this hotel on mei 10th 2015 during my holiday. The good thing about this hotel is it very near with louhu mall so you can just walkin in 5 minutes, beside that There are many convinient store, drugstore near the hotel. This is what you should be careful, the restaurant is too small, it can not provide all of guess, so when u take breakfast, You need to find a seat first then get the buffet. And also they're not provide drinking water in the room, it's only boiling water pot and tea bag (no sugar), so better you find a drinking water first at the store for your safety.
This hotel is within very easy walking distance from the Hong Kong - mainland China border. The room rates were good value for money and included an excellent sit-down cooked, buffet breakfast.. The night meal menu was excellent and open until around 8pm. They even had an English speaking newspaper to read. The only issue I was when I charged up my iPhone in the bathroom, I got an electric shock; especially since my foot was in a wet patch on the floor after a shower and my hand was grasping the metal back of the iPhone. Thankfully the charging cable release quickly because of the loose fitting electical connection. The lesson, I learnt was: do not charge you phone in a bathroom overseas. The hotel staff were prompt in analysing the electrical fault problem (they do not have an earth system for appliances) and organising an in-house electrician to reset the tripped circuit breaker in the ceiling of the lobby of my room. The took a deposit HKD$800 (AU$123) by an American Express card, refunded the deposit and charged me only HKD$455 (AU$70). The room had a very comfortable, king size bed, air conditioning, and lots of extras. The room was quiet and restful and the lift worked well. There were convenient shops open at night to around 11pm very close to the hotel. The front desk staff could call on a fluent English speaking, understanding person to sort out any problems. The hotel was used by many overseas guests, especially from Malaysia. A good alternative to a Hong Kong hotel, if you have two plus days to spend in Hong Kong/China.
Located just 300m from Louhu shopping mall, for you who targetting to shop till you drop there. Staying for 2 days from 31Oct-2Nov.. at first i wasnt really keen by the name and the front door look. the reception desk is at 5th floor and everything look old. We get a room at same level of reception, the room was pretty awesome after our bad experience in macau. flat screen tv, and 2 comfy beds, 1 queen size and 1 single bed and view to Louhu district main street. its clean compare to what i saw along the hallway. So-so breakfast menu.. the surprise was only the tasty steam bun. Behind the hotel you will easily find local convenience stores and also fruits shop that sell great local fruits.
