The hotel is at the bottom of a hill but has complimentary valet. The valet guys were so friendly and super fast. Our room had absolutely no view but the inside rooms (facing the pool) have amazing views. The restaurant is fantastic. Great food and sitting outside was a perfect way to end the day. Seats around the fire pit too. The pool was relaxing. Drink service. Towels provided. The cable was not working in our room but otherwise, the room felt like home. A nice patio on each room too. The employees were all really nice. We would stay here again!

I would definitely will stay here again! Good location and excellent customer service.

Staff is excellent. We were thoroughly impressed with the valet, check-in, concierge and housekeeping. Shuttle service within 1 mile radius is great and needed for those who want to avoid the uphill and downhill walks to the hotel entrance. I was disappointed with the unfortable beds, poorly lit hallways, and the insuffiencent outdoor casual seating. The Pool and in room Bathrooms were smaller than expected. Last, Amara didnt have discounts to surrounding restaurants available whereas others do (per staff at restaurants I spoke with).

Beautiful setting....wonderful location ....staff was friendly and welcoming I will definitely return to this hotel.

Nice lobby - good restaurant - complimentary wine in lobby at 5pm - decent room (although washrooms are tired) good valet service - good yoga class but small room. Great pool and inner courtyard

We really enjoyed staying at the Amara. I liked the free yoga classes, free shuttle within a mile from the resort, and coffee/tea time. The resort was beautiful. We got a free upgrade and they were very welcoming when we arrived. All of the staff were very nice and they had great food at their restaurant.

beautiful hotel, well kept, great view of the red rocks

Door key is not smooth to open The restaurant menus was poor Information of the hotel could not be found in the room I loved the view from the garden I went out to see the mountain every morning Vortex tour was great

Super helpful staff. Great food, drink and amenities.

We used room service for dinner. The food and service were excellent. We had a corner balcony, creekside. We woke to the sound of rushing water, lovely. The room and bathroom were excellently appointed. The bed was comfortable. The best night's sleep I had had in 3 days. I completely enjoyed my stay. I would love to stay longer next time.

So great.. the food, the staff the pool.. everything soo nice..

This hotel has a lot of activities and has a great, social vibe! They have a free (nice) coffee bar in the morning, yoga classes, and wine happy hour from 5-6 each day. We could have spent a whole day just enjoying the infinity pool, hot tub, yard games, and hotel activities! They also have a shuttle that takes you around Sedona (I think a 1 mile radius) which was great! Parking was included in the $27 resort fee which was nice too!

Rooms were very comfortable and nice design. Staff was very excellent with service.

Loved everything about this resort, you have to try the Bell Rock margs!!!!

Good: Great location. Its near everything. AM coffee, PM wine, and valet parking (if you are looking for these things). Rooms are OK. Bad: My fault for booking quickly w/o reading fine print. I hate hotels that don't provide free wifi. Its 2016. Charging me for wifi is like charging me for a TV in my room or indoor plumbing. Its basic now and just expected, so it should just be there. Second, beware that the price of your room is actually higher than it seems. It has a mandatory $27 per night "resort fee" to cover AM coffee, PM wine (whether you use it or not), and valet (which I usually prefer not to have, personally). We only really wanted the coffee. So add $13-16/night for wifi if you plan on using it, and another $27/night for resort fee to the expected cost of your room. Again, I am partially at fault for not paying attention. Just beware.

This hotel was great! The swimming pool was an "infinity" pool and offered a gorgeous view of a nearby mountain. There was also complimentary wine for an hour in the early evening. The staff was very friendly and helpful and there is a shuttle that took us to and from dinner (anywhere within a mile or two of the hotel.) I took a yoga class in the morning and it was very educational as well as relaxing. And finally, the rooms were spacious and up-to-date with full sliding doors that overlooked the courtyard. Overall, it was a great experience!

Absolutely wonderful! This is a small, boutique resort that is by far one of the best resorts I've stayed. The rooms are nice, clean. The spa area is amazing. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Sedona is a beautiful city and this resort provides an awesome view of the red rocks. I cannot say enough good things about this resort. Our stay here was very relaxing and we will definitely be back.

This centrally located hotel is a nice oasis in Sedona. Staff is welcoming and friendly and they welcome dogs and dog owners. Rooms are nicely laid out and comfortable. Hotel offers free wine at 5pm and other amenities. The biggest downside is the steep climb up to the main shopping area in Sedona. But hotel offers free valet parking and other perks which offset this.

Nice hotel and pool with a view of Snoopy rock. Down a hill from the Main Street of Sedona.

Great experience at the Amara. The hotel was a great location. Easy to downtown Sedona. Very walkable. When we didn't walk to places they had a shuttle that dropped us off and picked us up within minutes of making the call. We enjoyed some pool time as well. Beautiful view of the Red Rocks from the infinity pool. Room was clean, cool decor, and convenient to the hotel amenities. Staff were pleasant and great customer service. Liked they had options for spa services and yoga classes.
