Junipine Resort

3.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Junipine is located in a nice, nautre lovers setting about 20 minutes out of town. We were very comfortable in our room enjoying the woods and the nearby stream. Visitors should realize this is an older facility. I would rate it 3 stars and not 4 as it doesn't have the newness or crispness in decor that I expect at a 4 star resort. Rooms are dark (we stayed in a couple of different rooms). The architecture lends to a lack of light. The fireplaces and wood supplied were extremely enjoyable at night. Staff was very accommodating and helpful with suggestions for restaurants, outings, etc. We ate at the restaurant and it was very average in regards to food, staff, and ambience.

We have stayed here twice in the past couple of months and absolutely love it! The huge deck is perfect for hanging out with a cup of coffee or bottle of wine. The full kitchen enables you to make dinner or breakfast without any problems. It is peaceful and beautiful with the sound of the creek in the background.

This Resort is beautiful. The surroundings are breathtaking. We stayed in unit 37, which was recently renovated. It was very nice. Will definitely return here again with my family. We stayed the first few days of August. The highs were in the mid-80s and the lows were in the mid-50s. It rained 2 of the 3 days there so it got fairly humid in the afternoon. During the day for about 3 hours it did get warm inside of our unit. Would like to visit again in the fall or spring when the weather isn't as warm and I won't have to worry about the units not having air conditioning. The staff was also great. Such a wonderful experience!

Everything was good. I loved this hotel so much! clean, friendly, cozy..... perpect!!!

Super beautiful and peaceful retreat w hiking& fishing on sight. Thank goodness we did not stay in the town of Sedona- a place of jeep tour sales and bad food.

An absolutely beautiful place to stay. The unit was perfect in every way. Unfortunately, there was no power from the time we checked in until midnight. Which meant no light, no heat and no shower after traveling all day. I understand it was not their fault.....but the staff acted like "oh well, deal with it. Have some "free" fire wood" . A little compassion would have gone a long way.

Went here with my wife for our anniversary. Very large unit with separate bedroom and king bed with attached large bathroom. Bath had 2 separate vanity. Living room with fireplace (one in bdrm too). Large rap around deck could be accessed from living room or bedroom. Fully functional kitchen and loft with 2 twin beds that was accessed by spiral staircase. The unit was actually much bigger. Had another bedroom and bathroom which were closed off. Could be opened if a larger party booked room. If there was anything to critique, the kitchen wasn't gourmet so a little tight for 2 people and the dining table could have been a little smaller. One side of table was right against metal spiral staircase. Overall a nice place and have already thought of going back with the entire family.

Just 15 minutes north of busy downtown Sedona is this wonderful place to stay. The scenery is gorgeous, the accommodations are top notch and the staff is welcoming and friendly. We are looking forward to a return visit!

This is my second stay at the Junipine. I will stay here every time I am in Sedona. It is just a few minutes north of town and the quiet peacefulness is priceless. You can hear Oak Creek right from your bed (creek view) and look at the gorgeous cliffs. It's truly an amazing experience. If you like quiet, the outdoors and cozying up to a fireplace, smelling the cedar in the air and listening to Oak Creek, then this is the place to be. The staff are so friendly and accommodating; we had such a great time. The units are very clean and large; it's like having your own townhouse for the price of a hotel room in town. Truly a wonderful place!

Nice and cozy amenities. Just wish there were provisions for seniors: non slip mats in the tub and/or a vertical bar.

Walk in everything looks so beautiful Roll open the shades Amazing mountains and water running thru creeks The views were amazing I think they should let people know that a 1 Bedtoom is actually 2 Bedrooms and that a 2 Bedrooms is actually 3 those cottages are beautiful but way oversized and if you are staying over 1 day there's no room service and there is no free breakfast

A short scenic drive North of Sedona with a fully stocked kitchen. Great stay!!

Great location just outside of Sedona. Large villas with views of the mountains. Only drawback was no air conditioning but had large ceiling fans.

Loved staying there! Very nice spacious homes and great location, surrounded by nature and only 10 mins way from the town. Can't wait to come back!

The check in was quick easy. All staff is friendly and nice. The place is quite and peaceful. Very roomy and spacious. We had a huge deck to enjoy the creek on.

The villa is best described as a cabin house. It is equipped with a full kitchen and fire place, which is the only thing that makes the place cozy. Other than that, it has extremely dim lighting and lack of lighting in the family room, which kind of makes the place spooky considering there is no service for AT&T users out there, but available on Verizon network. On top of it, the Wi-Fi didn't work our complete stay despite multiple requests. They don't service the room even if staying multiple nights. They don't provide enough trash bags which was frustrating considering if they weren't going to clean the rooms then at least provide the supplies for a comfortable stay. There also wasnt enough log starter for the old fashioned style fireplace. There was a loft in our unit but hardly accessible because the sofa is blocking the staircase, and even if you manage to make it up to the loft there's only one little lamp up there equivalent to a candlelight brightness. The place made me feel like I was staying in a place from the 60s with the entire place a candlelight ambiance. It's located up on a windy road past all restaurants and shops so we used to do carryout eashopsght before going back at night. It's perfect for someone looking for a true getaway - from everything.

One of the nicest places we have stayed in Arizona. Would recommend it to anyone and will return for future get aways.

The hotel and staff were great. Unfortunately the restaurant closed at 2 on Sunday and did open again until Thursday. The closest restaurant was 10 miles away. We did not find this out until we went to eat Sunday evening. I am sure it was posted somewhere but would not have stayed here if we had known.

Recommend to anyone. Found this place to be close enough to Sedona to be able to experience it, and far enough away to feel like we were in nature. Just beautiful with the creek running through the back.

We booked a two bedroom apartment, and the size and roominess of the place easily exceeded our expectations. The loft was a pleasant surprise, and our kids loved it. The resort is located about ten miles from uptown Sedona, in the middle of beautiful Oak Creek Canyon. The adjacent restaurant was convenient, and the staff was pleasant.

We are so glad you liked your unit. I'm extremely sorry you did not feel the compassion from our staff when the entire resort was out of power. We tried our very best to make sure every single person was taken care of although it was a bit stressful. I'm so sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
