I would 100% recommend the East Bay Inn for anyone staying in Savannah! It's in an excellent location that makes for a very walkable stay. The corner suite was extremely spacious, very clean, and the exposed brick was simply delightful for this enthusiast of historic preservation. I have to give a particular shoutout to Steven at the front desk: he went so far above and beyond in his hospitality! The hotel also has great amenities like free beer and wine nightly, and they gave us a free bottle of champagne for our honeymoon!

Parking is limited on site but super convenient (and free!) when available. Check in was easy and quick for our 3rd floor deluxe 2 Queen room which was very clean, spacious, and comfortably appointed. Once we parked our vehicle, we never needed to move it because you will be walking anywhere you want to from this very strategically located spot. Our first visit here, but we will return for sure.

We just stayed at East Bay Inn for three days this past week, and our whole group absolutely loved it. The place is small, charming, and full of that historic Savannah character. Our rooms were spotless, and I really appreciated the extra touches — every room comes with an air purifier, a sound machine, and even earplugs. (The earplugs felt a little overkill for me, but if you’re a super light sleeper and you’re facing East Bay Street, it can get a little noisy. Didn’t bother me at all.) The staff here is fantastic — everyone we interacted with was friendly, helpful, and genuinely accommodating. There’s also a bar connected to the Inn that opens at 11, and the bartenders kept things fun while making some really great cocktails, from classic drinks to craftier options. Location-wise, you really can’t beat it. You’re smack-dab in the historic district, basically at the halfway point, so everything you’d want to see or do in historic Savannah is an easy walk. Our entire group raved about their rooms and the overall experience. We’d definitely stay here again.

Staff was very friendly, the location can’t be beat! We were able to walk to plant Riverside, Leopold, ice cream, the trolley stop. There was free water and pop all day long, parking right at the hotel in the lot, wine and beer and then discounts at a few restaurants. Would definitely stay here again. No ghost sightings either!
